【古民家茶屋卯三郎】美味しいお餅とおこわのランチ【那須塩原温泉】
Chaya Usaburo. A popular restaurant that is only open for lunch. We went to have lunch when we went to Nasu-Shiobara in Tochigi Prefecture . It is closed on Tuesdays and opens at 11:00. Last orders are at 14:00 on weekdays and 14:30 on weekends. When you arrive, write your name and the number of people on the board inside the restaurant and wait. The entrance is small, so be careful not to hit your head. There is also a shop inside. Write your name and the number of people here. There are many groups waiting in front of you. You can wait outside, but if you get a call bell, you can wait in your car. There were many people waiting in line that day, so the reception closed at 13:30. There are many tables in the tatami room. There are also tables with chairs. Next time, I would like to eat at the seats around the hearth. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table next to the register where we could not see the view. Anpontan set A very filling set meal with three rice cakes. The third most popular is the “Onago-zen” which comes with two types of okowa and is a small portion. The most popular is the “Pokopen-zen” which comes with kenchin udon, mochi, and okowa. Kenchin udon, ankoro mochi, okowa , warabi mochi, stewed food , pickles , potato salad . I love kenchin udon, so I decided on this set. It was miso flavored with lots of vegetables. Seasonal okowa. Seasonal vegetables with a light soy sauce flavor. This is the size of one ankoro mochi. It is freshly made soft mochi. The soft potato salad was stewed “oden”. It includes ganmodoki, konnyaku, chikuwa, carrots, daikon, shiitake mushrooms, etc. For dessert, we had warabi mochi . The portions are large for women, so you can take home any leftover okowa. Packs are placed near the register. Mochi and okowa are also available for takeout. Usaburo manju are 250 yen each. Even if they are not in stock, if you order they will be steamed in 40 minutes. Thank you for the meal. We are closing now. If it was in my neighborhood, I would like to visit it once a month. Once a week might be good too . Near Usaburo, there are Nasu Highland Park, Nasu Safari Park, Nasu World Monkey Park, Rindou Lake Family Ranch, and more. After lunch, we headed for the Nasu Ropeway.
