【宮崎旅行1】 宮崎の最南端行ってみた!宮崎観光&グルメ2泊3日の旅| 1日目 |都井岬→宮崎市グルメ

Hello there! We’re at Chubu Centrair International Airport. This time, we’re off on a 3-day, 2-night trip to Miyazaki Prefecture! Here’s a quick look at our itinerary. This video will cover Day 1 of our trip. Stick around until the end—we’ll share all the Day 1 travel costs! Hope you’ll enjoy watching until the very end! We flew with Solaseed Air, on a codeshare flight with ANA. Round-trip flight: ¥8,740 per person × 2 Complimentary drink service on board I chose the flying fish and yuzu soup! We’ve arrived at Miyazaki Airport! It’s November… but it’s so hot! 🥵 Picking up our rental car from Sky Rent-a-Car Miyazaki Airport With coupons and points, 2 nights, 3 days cost us ¥16,500 On Day 1, we’re heading to the southernmost tip of Miyazaki. First stop—Gion Shrine. There’s a restroom and small parking area just past the torii gate. The main hall of Gion Shrine is actually inside a cave! Heading into the cave now… Oh! There are stairs… Huh? A man in his 50s takes off in a sprint! Apparently, he was trying to dodge the dripping water. The shrine enshrines Susanoo-no-Mikoto, Kushinadahime,
Yamata no Orochi, and Mizuhanome-no-Mikoto. There were stairs near the parking lot, so we decided to climb up. We believed the sign that said “1 minute to the top”! “1 minute feels longer than I expected!” “Whoa, amazing view!” “Wow!” “Totally worth the climb.” “Yeah, for sure.” “It’s amazing!” Time to head out for lunch. About a 10-minute drive from Gion Shrine. We’re at Unagi Ryori Taisei, a specialty eel restaurant. We walked in through a beautiful garden. You can see the garden right from your seat. You order using a touch panel. Taka-san ordered the premium Unadon (¥2,680). “Mmm! That’s really good.” “It’s got such a nice sweetness.” “Delicious.” “Totally my kind of flavor.” I went with the hot Stone grilled bibimbap (¥1,950). I couldn’t resist—eel in a stone-cooked bibimbap? Had to try it! First, just a bite of the eel on its own. Yum 😋 Now let’s mix it all up. That sizzling sound is making me so hungry! I wonder if gochujang and eel go well together? Let’s find out—time to dig in! They go SO well together!! Absolutely delicious!! It also came with eel liver soup, a side dish, and some pickles. We also picked up a “Fukumochi” (¥130) from the shop. Tried it in the car— “Oooh! So chewy and soft!” “Oh!” “This is real mochi, for sure!” “It’s soooo good!!” Next, we’re heading to Inomisaki Lighthouse, at the southernmost tip of Miyazaki. It’s about an hour’s drive. There are people surfing along the way. We stopped at Komadome Gate to pay a ¥400 wild horse preservation fee. Wild horses roam freely around Cape Toi. Can’t wait to see them up close! Oh! There they are! Wild horses just chilling by the road! Look! Another one! Amazing! We’ve arrived at the Cape Toi Lighthouse parking lot. Parking is free. Here’s the Cape Toi map. Heading toward the lighthouse! “Around 60 steps to the entrance ♪ You got this!” Alright, let’s go! There’s a little shopping street on the way to the lighthouse. We bought our admission tickets here (¥300). This is the third out of 16 climbable lighthouses in Japan we’ve visited! Cape Toi Lighthouse is the only one in Kyushu you can climb. It’s not that tall, so the climb is pretty easy. Now we’re heading to Misaki Shrine. It’s about a 5-minute drive from the lighthouse. We can see a white torii gate ahead. There’s free parking and restrooms too. We’re heading down the stairs… (Coming back up looks a bit scary!) The trees feel so tropical. These sago palms grow wild here and are designated a special national natural monument. This is the worship hall of Misaki Shrine. And that’s the main shrine building on the cliff. It’s said that this shrine was founded in the year 708. We’ve arrived at PAKALA PAKA, the Cape Toi Tourism Exchange Center. It’s about 4 minutes by car from Misaki Shrine. PAKALA PAKA has a restaurant, gift shop, and more. We’re taking a short break here. Mango juice and Pakara-andagi (Okinawan-style donut) The sea and sky views from Cape Toi are just breathtaking. If you’re lucky, you might even see horses around here too. There was even a glamping area nearby. Next, we headed to Komatsugaoka—said to have scenic views of hills, sea, and horses. Only a 4-minute drive from PAKALA PAKA. There’s a free parking lot too. Taka-san decided to wait in the car, so I went to explore on my own. There are signs of horses here and there… maybe I’ll get lucky? I’ve only climbed a little, but it’s already tough on my legs 😵 The view is so peaceful and lovely… but no horses in sight. Someone coming down told me there weren’t any horses up ahead. We saw so many earlier, I thought for sure there’d be some here too… Too bad… 😢 But the view is absolutely stunning! Now we’re driving back to Miyazaki City—about an hour and a half from the southern tip. Those signs… 100% intentional 😂 We’re getting close to the hotel where we’ll stay for two nights in Miyazaki. Hotel Route-Inn Miyazaki Tachibanadori We parked in the multistory lot behind the hotel (¥500 per night) and checked in. Time to take a little break in our rooms. Heading out for dinner on foot. The restaurant we’re looking for was tucked away down a back alley. We’re here for some local Miyazaki specialty—chicken nanban! Ogura Main Branch It’s a popular spot, but luckily we got in without waiting. Chicken Nanban — ¥1,300 It looks a bit different from the chicken nanban we’re used to… “Mmm!” “The batter has flavor!” “Tastes kind of like sweet vinegar.” “Yeah, like the batter’s soaked in sweet vinegar.” “It’s tartar sauce, but it doesn’t taste like regular tartar…” “More like Aurora sauce, maybe?” “The sauce is sweet, and the batter has a tangy kick.” Alright, my turn to try it! I’m going in with a big scoop of tartar. “Mmm!” “Makes you want to eat a ton of rice.” “Yeah!” “It’s super tasty!” “That sweet vinegar flavor is so good!” “Exactly!” Never had chicken nanban like this before! It was delicious! Now it’s time for dessert. Nangoku Purin (Tropical Pudding) Which one should I get… There was an eat-in space upstairs. The place is designed so you can take really Instagram-worthy photos. We chose the Miyazaki Ripe Mango Pudding and the Salted Caramel Mango. The mango pudding had jelly and mango chunks on top, and a soft, creamy custard-like pudding underneath. The salted caramel mango came with caramel sauce. “Oh!” “This one has a much richer mango flavor!” “So good.” And now, for the ending—we’ll show you our hotel room and reveal all the Day 1 expenses. But first, here’s how much we paid to stay at Hotel Route-Inn Miyazaki Tachibanadori. 2 semi-double rooms × 2 nights (with breakfast included) We booked through Yahoo Travel with a 10% discount. Now, here’s the total cost of Day 1. Our Day 1 travel expenses for the Miyazaki trip came to… On Day 2, we’ll visit Udo Shrine, Sun Messe Nichinan, Aoshima, and more! Don’t miss the next episode! Thanks so much for watching all the way to the end 🫶 Good night!
