Vol.151 [SUB/4K]

Good morning! This is E-Ma. It was raining last night, but it seems to have stopped this morning. If the weather had been good, we would have been able to see a beautiful sunrise from here, so it’s a shame (´・ω・). We had breakfast at this venue. There was a lot of variety in the breakfast (´ー`). There were so many side dishes for rice alone ( ゚Д゚). I was so full from the morning (/ω\). I’m checking out. “Taikanso” was the best hotel I’ve stayed at recently (´ー`). I’d like to stay here again (´ー`). This is the first part of the second day of my 3-night, 4-day trip to Miyagi. Continuing from yesterday, we will be sightseeing in Matsushima. I hope you all enjoy your trip with me (´ー`). Today, we will also be going around the area around “Matsushima Kaigan Station”, which is the main area for sightseeing in Matsushima. We walked about 3 minutes from the parking lot. “Fukuura Island Entrance”. The long red bridge that we could see from the “Matsushima Island Tour Sightseeing Boat” that we took yesterday. That is “Fukuura Bridge”. There is a toll to cross the bridge. It is a 252m long bridge that connects Matsushima Coast and Fukuura Island. Fukuura Island is designated as a prefectural natural park. More than 250 species of plants, including red pines and maples, grow here. There seems to be a promenade, so I think I’ll walk around the island (´ー`). It’s May, but the temperature is a little chilly, so it’s just right for walking (´ー`). It’s a well-maintained promenade. It’s an uphill climb (^_^;). After walking for a while, I saw a shop. It’s a shop where you can get sweet sake and dumplings. In front of the shop are the “Daruma Omikuji,” a specialty of Fukuura Island. The “half-good fortune” seems a bit odd, but it’s apparently rare to get a “half-good fortune” (´ー`). If you get an unlucky fortune, it’s good to leave the daruma doll at the Bentendo here. The front of the Bentendo is open, so the view is great (´ー`). We headed towards the observation deck at the very back of the island. We arrived at the observation deck. We could see all the islands. This is a view spot that really feels like Matsushima (*’▽’). It would have been even better if the weather had been better… A gazebo in front of the observation deck. The greenery here was very beautiful (´ー`). And this view seen through the trees. It’s like a painting (*´ω`*). From where the road forks, we decided to head towards “Tenjinzaki”. We arrived at “Tenjinzaki”. From here you can see “Fukuura Bridge”. This is the “multipurpose plaza”. It might be nice to bring a lunch box and eat it here (´ー`). We went around the island and came back. It took about an hour to go around the whole island. It was a walk surrounded by nature in the fresh morning air. It felt good (´ー`). Matsushima’s mascot, “Donguri Matsu-chan”. We came to the approach to “Zuiganji Temple”. As we walked along this long approach… There is a ticket booth. Zuiganji’s official name is “Matsushima Seiryuzan Zuigan Enpuku Zenji.” In 1953, the main hall (with its attached Onari genkan) was designated a national treasure, and in 1959, the corridor connecting the main hall and the kuri was designated a national treasure. Zuiganji was founded by Date Masamune and completed in 1609 after five years of construction. The 10 sliding doors in the main hall are each painted with a picture appropriate to their purpose. The kuri, which was used as a kitchen, is the entrance. Unfortunately, photography is prohibited from here. The paintings and sculptures in each room were wonderful (´ー`). This is the most recommended spot for sightseeing in Matsushima, so I hope you will see it with your own eyes (´ー`). From the middle gate, you can see the exterior of the main hall and the courtyard. Leave the exit and go left. There are “cave ruins”. There were many in “Oshima” that we visited yesterday. There are memorial towers and five-ringed pagodas on the walls of the caves, and stone Buddhas lined up in front of the caves. On the way back to the parking lot, we came across “Genzo”. I had been wondering about this “flag” since yesterday (^▽^;). Beef tongue croquette 350 yen. They serve it freshly fried, so it’s hot and delicious. I feel like there isn’t much beef tongue! The next place is also within walking distance, but we went by car. There are many fresh fish and seafood directly from the source. I wonder if this is also directly from the source? (´艸`*). There are restaurants serving sushi and seafood bowls on the first floor. There is an eat-in corner on the second floor. Seafood ramen. We decided to buy from the “grilled food and burger” corner on the first floor. Swordfish minced cutlet burger 500 yen. It’s a huge portion (*’▽’). Matsushima oyster burger 500 yen. They both look the same. The oyster burger had a whole oyster inside the cream croquette and was delicious (´ー`). Now, I moved from the main area of Matsushima to Ishinomaki. I had planned to go straight to Ishinomaki, but… I saw a rapeseed field on the way and made a detour (´ー`). When I see beautiful flowers, I can’t help but be drawn to them (^▽^;). I intended to go to Ishinomaki without making a detour this time, but I ended up in Oku Matsushima (・o・). A wide coast that stretches for 3 km. This area is where the tsunami over 10 meters high hit in the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011. The breakwater was built after the earthquake. 14 years have passed since that day, but the roads and houses all feel new. I really thought that the people of Miyagi Prefecture really worked hard. I had planned to make a little detour, but I ended up at Miyatojima in the Oku Matsushima area. And it’s almost the southernmost point (^_^;). There is a cape 300m from here, so I decided to go there. There is a road, but it is a tunnel of bamboo forest. Is this really the right path? (;・∀・). There were no forks in the road, so I had no choice but to continue. It was a gentle uphill climb, so I was out of breath. Nice view (*’▽’). I walked here from that beach! (^^)!. The waves are crashing against the cliffs that are as steep as a horse’s back. There is no one here, so it’s a quiet and nice place (´ー`). I didn’t have time to go anywhere else, but… There seem to be many places in Oku Matsushima that you can visit, such as sightseeing boats. Next time I come to Matsushima, I would like to stay around here (´ー`). The last stop in Matsushima is a roadside station. It is a new roadside station that was just built last year. A Blue Impulse manhole. A runway-like passage. There was even a corner inside the building where you could experience Blue Impulse in VR. The Matsushima Air Base of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force is located in Higashi Matsushima City, so you can see the Blue Impulse’s flight training here. If I had known, I would have checked the times… (._.). Coffee soft serve bought on the first floor for 430 yen. Matsushima Blue Soft Serve (mix) bought at the food court on the second floor for 400 yen. Taking a break on the terrace on the second floor while watching the touch-and-go training of Self-Defense Force aircraft in the distance (´ー`). If you come to Matsushima, it’s a good idea to go a little further afield rather than just the main area (´ー`). Next time will be the second half of the second day of our 3-night, 4-day trip to Miyagi. I hope this video will be of some use to you. If you enjoyed it, please click the good button and subscribe to the channel! We look forward to your opinions and comments (´ー`). Thank you for watching until the end. l Please look forward to the next one~(^_^)/~
