Thank you for watching. This is the second half of the video from Minamiizu Yumigahama Onsen Tokiichiyu. In the first half, we introduce the guest rooms, the hotel, Yumigahama, etc., so if you haven’t seen it yet and would like to know more about Tokiichiyu, please watch the video with the thumbnail saying “first half”. Now, we will continue from the last time and deliver it to you a little earlier. Please enjoy it until the end. So, we will start from before the meal, which is the continuation from the last time. The place where we ate is on the third floor, but this time we will be eating in a different place, so we take the elevator from the first floor where the bath was, to the third floor, move to the annex from the connecting corridor, and take the elevator down to the first floor to find the restaurant. This is the place where we will be eating. It is [Izu Mido Shun no Arika]. When we entered, an employee came from the back and said, “You are Mr./Ms. XX, staying with three people,” and I asked, ” How did you know? “Are you a psychic?!” I thought, but it’s only natural that they would know the meal times because they’re decided in advance (lol). By the way, it seems that the people who stay in the maisonette suite in the annex and the restaurants I stayed at this time, Shikari and Itsuki, also dine here at Shun no Arika. This restaurant offers high-quality cuisine in a modern Japanese space. Also , this is the menu, but it’s from when I went in March, so if you want to know what the current menu is, you can check it on Tokiichiyu’s website. As for drinks, I had already had beer in the lounge, so I ordered a Shizuoka local sake tasting set. Both were delicious and the sake cups were large, so it was a great deal. From here, we will look at the dishes on the menu. First, we have yuzu plum wine as an aperitif. Next is a salad of monkfish liver. The liver has no odor and goes well with sake, and it’s very delicious. Next is the appetizer. The appetizers are, from the right, seared scallops and asparagus with butterbur miso, raw yuba and avocado tobiko tobiko tobiko tobiko tobiko, rape blossoms wrapped in hosho paper, kuruma prawns tossed in five colors, white fish and bamboo shoot skin tossed in ume paste. They are very elegant dishes. It almost feels like a waste to eat them. I like eating a lot of food on a regular basis, but it’s nice to be able to eat a little bit of different dishes while enjoying alcohol like this every once in a while. Next is clams in a clear soup with angelica. A simple bowl with a concentrated aroma and flavor. I don’t often eat clams, so I was very impressed when I tried them. Next is sashimi. Sakura sea bream, halfbeak, snow crab, squid, kanoko, and medium fatty tuna . We rubbed real wasabi on the spot and ate it with fresh and fragrant wasabi soy sauce. We tried the white fish with salt and the medium fatty tuna and crab with wasabi soy sauce. Also, as we had mentioned in advance when making the reservation, they prepared grilled fish and turban shells for those who cannot eat raw fish. Next came live spiny lobster sashimi . Like the previous sashimi, this was a spiny lobster with excellent sashimi quality. I had imagined it to be plump because it was just shrimp, but this had a sticky texture and a rich taste and flavor, making it a very delicious and luxurious dish. The main course was 60g of Wagyu sirloin steak with Chaliapin sauce. Chaliapin sauce is a sauce made by finely chopping onions and frying them until they turn caramelized, but 60g may seem a little small, but there were many other dishes served before the main course, so I think it was just the right amount to enjoy the meat. If you have a small appetite, you’ll probably be full at this point. And just by holding the meat, you can tell it’s extremely soft. When you take a bite, the juicy meat juice overflows and goes well with the onion sauce, making it very delicious. I also tried it with wasabi soy sauce, which was also great. Next came a sorbet to cleanse the palate, which wasn’t on the menu. It was refreshing and not too sweet, and the amount was just right. Next came the boiled dishes, boiled Shimoda-produced golden-eyed snapper with bamboo shoots and butterbur. They said they would prepare a little rice for those who wanted it, so I didn’t hesitate to eat it. I’ll take anything I get except for when I’m sick (lol) . Of course, this is why I eat rice♪ The sauce rice with boiled golden-eyed snapper is really delicious, isn’t it? The rice and boiled golden-eyed snapper were both in the perfect amount, which was appreciated. Depending on the place, they serve big golden-eyed snapper that makes a big impact, but there are quite a lot of other dishes, so it’s surprisingly difficult💦 Next was Spanish mackerel rice with red miso soup and three kinds of pickles. As for the rice, the psychic (staff member) asked, “Shall we make it like a manga?” so I didn’t hesitate to do so. Rice cooked by professionals is really delicious, isn’t it? The red soup was also very delicious. And for dessert we had Sakura Anmitsu, Warabimochi with red bean paste and Shiratama. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food, which was carefully prepared from start to finish . Finally, we had tea and dinner ended. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal♪ When I left the seasonal food, I thought there was a cute origami, which was handmade by a regular customer and sent to me every year. It’s a good relationship because it gives the regular customer one more reason to come here every year. So after the meal, I would like to go to that fun place again. Here we are! The Minato Terrace in the lobby lounge. I came to see that “sake is added at night” and it really was there! In addition to nuts, chocolate was added to the snacks. I’ve just finished dinner, but I’m still eating. Didn’t someone say that sweets are a separate stomach? (laughs) After finishing with sake and chocolate, I’m satisfied, so I’d like to go back to my room and get some sleep. I’ll see you in a few seconds. Good night. Good morning. As always, I go to bed too early and wake up too early. This is Takechiyo. This is not the middle of the night, but the early morning. The open-air bath at this time when it is just starting to get light is quite nice. There is still a long way to go until breakfast time, and the temperature of the water is perfect, so I would like to take a leisurely bath in the open-air bath . After getting out of the bath, I thought it would be a waste not to use it, so I had a cup of coffee, which I don’t really know how to use. At this point, it smells very nice. Then I went out to the balcony and enjoyed an elegant moment while listening to the sound of the waves . It was getting quite bright outside, but I thought there was still a lot of time until breakfast, so I remembered that I could get seafood soup at [Furari] in front of the large public bath from 6:30, so I immediately ran out of the room. As it says here, it really is worth getting up early. Let’s go in. This floor also has a nice view and a very relaxing atmosphere. I sat down in an empty seat and stared blankly at the great nature in front of me, and a staff member brought me the soup. This miso soup is made with plenty of seafood, including Izu’s famous golden-eyed snapper. If you eat a little at an odd time, you’ll get even hungrier. There’s still time before breakfast, so I’d like to go see Yumigahama in the morning. It’s very divine, isn’t it? It’s a little disappointing that if there were no clouds, I might have been able to see the sunrise. By the way, the distance between Yumigahama and Tokiichiyu is like this. The sea is just a short walk away, so it’s great for a change of pace . So I’m getting ready to head to the breakfast venue. By the way, breakfast at Nagisa Dining on the third floor is a buffet system where you can eat as much as you want of whatever you like, but the room I stayed in seems to have breakfast at Shun no Arika in the annex, just like the day before. So I immediately went to the first floor of the annex. As soon as I entered, the Esper (staff member) who helped me the day before was already at work and said, “You’ll be seated in the same place as the day before for breakfast.” When I went to the place where I had dinner the day before, breakfast was already prepared. This seasonal breakfast will be a colorful Japanese set meal. Sorry for the inconvenience. I stopped because it felt really strange, but I wonder how many people notice this strangeness? I was so curious that I asked the staff member, “This direction of chopsticks is not a coincidence, right?” The staff member replied, “I noticed that I was left-handed during dinner, so they placed them facing left.” I was surprised and impressed because this was the first time I had experienced such a reaction, whether it was because they teach this or because of the high level of customer service of the individual staff. Or rather, what is even more surprising is how they knew that I would be sitting in this seat? Apparently, this staff member was a real esper (lol). And here is a colorful Japanese set meal with seasonal ingredients for breakfast. Orange juice, chicken dumplings, homemade tofu sashimi, salted octopus, seared tuna, squid somen noodles, colorful salad , yogurt mousse for dessert, three kinds of seasonal fruit pickles, miso soup with spiny lobster, rice made with Shizuoka Prefecture Koshihikari rice, a small bowl of scallops with Tosa vinegar, mustard greens, bamboo shoots and rape blossoms with ume paste. There are quite a variety, aren’t there? I’m happy to be able to eat so many delicious dishes with such care. And not only that, but we also added freshly made rolled omelet and freshly baked dried fish of your choice. The homemade tofu was originally made with soy milk, but over time it has transformed into delicious tofu. By the way, they prepared duck meat for those who can’t eat sashimi. I had one piece, which was soft and very delicious. As you can see, it’s delicious. There are so many side dishes that one bowl of rice is not enough. So, like the day before, I had a second serving of rice in a manga-like portion. I’m in great shape from the morning. The lobster miso soup was also very delicious. And at the end, I got hot milk, which they said they had in addition to coffee or tea . It had been a while since I had it, but it was surprisingly delicious. By the way, the esper (staff member) who was in charge of both dinner and breakfast and had a high level of customer service said that she was going to work in Gifu in April, and the reason was that she wanted to travel around the country while doing the work she loves. With that level of skill, she could work anywhere in the country, and it would be great to travel around different regions while doing the work you love and make your dreams come true. Good luck. I’m rooting for you from behind the scenes. After eating a delicious breakfast, I was very satisfied and returned to my room to take a short break. I feel a little sad that it’s almost time to get ready to go home, but I think this was another great trip. As for the accommodation cost, I was wondering… I stayed in a room called Shikari on a weekday during the off-season, with 2 meals and 1 night stay, which would have cost 29,700 yen per person, but by using the advance reservation discount, I was able to get a discount of about 4,500 yen, so the accommodation cost was 25,125 yen per person + 150 yen bath tax and sake at dinner. The open-air bath rooms were very clean, and both dinner and breakfast were top-notch meals, and the customer service was also high-level. In addition, in the lobby lounge, in addition to soft drinks, you can drink beer and sake as much as you want depending on the time, so if you take advantage of the discount, it’s quite a good deal, and I can see why it has such high reviews. Also, since I was there, I’d like to introduce some nearby shops that I stopped by on my way home. This is a liquor store near Tokiichiyuu, but here’s where it is on the map: On the way back from Tokiichiyuu, pass in front of Yumigahama Beach , turn left at the sign for the public bathhouse Minato-yu on your left, and you’ll find Iwata Shoten, located in Minato, Minamiizu-cho, Kamo-gun, just like Tokiichiyuu. Business hours are 9:00-19:00, closed on Wednesdays and Sundays, and parking is available in front of and next to the store. They sell shochu by weight, with varieties including potato shochu, barley shochu , and long-term storage of barley shochu, which is considered aged, and if you have a special bottle, you can buy it cheaply because the bottle fee is deducted. If you don’t have a bottle, there are bottled shochus on the shelves, so it might be a good idea to buy one to see what it’s like. And this is my main purpose this time. I came here because I wanted to try this salt ice cream, which seems to be famous, so I bought one right away! You can really taste the salt in the refreshing sweetness, and it’s definitely delicious. Moreover, the color is beautiful, emerald green. If you have the chance, please try it. I also bought some shochu while I was there. Both the sweet potato and the aged sake were delicious. By the way, the salt ice cream mentioned earlier is only sold in stores, so if you really want to try it, you have to go all the way here. This time, I visited [Kiichiyuu] as part of my trip to Minami Izu. If you want to enjoy a luxurious moment different from usual in the great outdoors , why not stay at Kiichiyuu? Also, while you’re there, why not try the salt ice cream and buy some shochu as a souvenir at the nearby Iwata Shoten? Thank you for watching until the end.
