Ölülerle Aynı Evde Yaşayan Kabile | Toraja – Sulawesi | Endonezya

it is forbidden to enter this area funeral means idolatry here oh my God what an important person this is when did you hear fatih Popera say no my friends vow look at this image oh oh oh oh he lived at home for a year in a coffin right now I asked his children if he was talking do you want breakfast they said yes there is a difference between looking and understanding [Music] I reached the city of Makasar on the island of Slovas in the middle of Indonesia with a long plane ride from Jakarta but the journey does not end here what I am really curious about is a mysterious region hidden among the mountains Toraca I am heading towards the lands of a people who live with the dead and carve graves in rocks and bury their babies in trees yes I am in Toraca when I was a child I looked at the map and wondered a lot about the island of Slovas which seemed very far and impossible at the time Terima Kasi Terima Kasi Dia as a funeral gift YouTuber how beautiful well-groomed she put on her lipstick and made up very early in the morning how beautiful I love people who love life like this now I am taking you to a strange place friends let’s see We will go among the rice fields, it has a magnificent nature, unlike most of Indonesia, Toraja is Christian, of course, we are talking about a Muslim country with a population of 285 million, the most populous Muslim country in the world, the reason they are Protestant is that the Dutch brought them here, of course, the Catholics were brought by the Portuguese, we are in a country with a population of 285 million, and when you are in such a country where the majority is Muslim, everywhere is a church, my friends, I have never seen so many churches anywhere in my life, including the Vatican, in fact, the Vatican itself, the Vatican incident is a joke , of course, everywhere is a church, they have put churches on top of each other, that’s why, in this country where the majority is Muslim, they are trying to protect their own religion in some way, my headman, as far as I understand, from what I have seen in other countries, people are more embracing in such situations, like Albanians in Macedonia and North Macedonia being more conservative compared to Kosovo, in fact, there is a border, but even that border is not considered a border, but of course, since the majority is Orthodox there, they are somehow more conservative, you know, we give scholarships in all our income and Just English English helps me incredibly just English language schools they have dozens of schools in Turkey and there are language schools in New York and Los Angeles in America you need to learn a language to travel the world you can travel without learning a language but you need to learn a language to understand people that’s why English is the most important and you can choose Just English English’s language schools in America and Turkey which have supported me without refraining from doing so friends this is another funeral ceremony we have funeral ceremonies here all the time by the way let me tell you right away you like to criticize criticize is already a wonderful thing criticizing here funeral means celebration friends don’t forget that people being happy etc. is not a problem what is this for the first time we see such a kidnapping method come let’s go let’s go friends Toraja houses are like this architecture is incredible isn’t it the nature of this place very similar to Colombia I likened it to Colombia’s mountains flowers and trees are very similar to Colombia’s mountains and also coffee grows here there is the famous Toraja coffee and as you know Colombia is a coffee country it is very similar the reason for this is that it is at 1000 meters here the coffee farms in Colombia are also at 1000 meters always sumana sumana kurre sumana Well, it’s not bahasa, my friends, I mean they don’t speak the language we call Indonesia , they speak the Torajan language. Here we go down, let’s see. Yes, we are here, my friends. We are going to a funeral. The people of Toraja attach great importance to their homes and I will show you very interesting images. Look at the Toraja houses. How interesting they are. This is the first time I see houses like this. They built them high to protect them from animals. They had them in the Black Sea region as well. They built them high to protect them from mice etc. The same goes for the upper part. Did they build it to block the rain? And look at the beauty of the houses. Music is coming. we’re going a little fast everyone is dressed up out of respect we’re talking about an isolated island that’s thousands of years old maybe you’ve never even heard its name hello oh how beautifully she sings [Music] friends I get so happy when we film things like this a tradition that’s thousands of years old is about to disappear [Music] oha thank you ok ok ok tara Torocalı we became friends [Music] [ Music] [Music] [Music] hello good morning morning thank you how are you morning morning oh how are you [Music] the daughter of the deceased invited the girl very smiling [Music] lady the pass around ok was she wash her name is Maria ok ok and then one daughter and one daughter and three son ok [Music] she is 65 the lady she was 65 65 she died oh sun the sun ıni kakak saya yeah the brother so the mother when she died she lived with them in the house the houses how does it work so the during for a year so we use traditional way to keep the body at home so nowadays we use injection by pormalin the hospital porin pormalin pormalin pormalin the chemical mifer in the house the in the house in the keep in the sou in the southern part we call itung sumbung are for the de that person before the funeral so they can see talk to talk to her daily can I ask questions yes please like in the western culture this like funerals are very sad eve elebration here do you celebrate when they Yes can you ask her what does it mean for her is she happy that her mother is going to heaven or another like how does she feel about funerals I’m trying to understand [Music] [Applause] the family of course for during for one year of course they are really set but during for [Music] one year they stay together [Music] what kind of communication they do communication when they are during at home so some when they are like breakfast time lunch time they wake up the copins so wake up mam for eating for lunch or breakfast so what does the mother say of course yes yeah ı wake up for eating so can you ask her directly did your mother talk to you [Music] eh sewaktu masih hidupnya kan dibilang eh bangun bilang okey bisa heeh yes [Music] so like is this like what kind of talking we are talking the daily talking like drink time or breakfast time or dinner they can talk to her because everybody want to get like breakfast or lunch ok later we see how many thank you very much thank you [Music] friends the language barrier is very problematic that’s why the guide doesn’t understand my questions they don’t understand things came they are very sweet but what are you doing curious melats they are very very beautiful oh I heard the pig’s screams the pigs have such a scream my friends you can’t believe they scream like humans that village grocer aunty allah [Music] this has a very scary sound friends look at this pig [Music] [Music] Oh my gosh, look, he ‘s trying to save the summer , brother, kill him properly, those things were killing beautifully, the Samis in Norway [Music] One of the most painful scenes I’ve ever seen in my life, brother, clean this up and put it in its sheath, oh man, I’m going to fall [Music] Why [Music] He suffered a lot, but he was very upset, he’s trying to escape, look, I’m seriously talking, he’s trying to escape [Music] [Music] He understood what would happen to him, Indonesia, my friends, is a country of cigarettes, everyone smokes [Music] Do you see there’s hardly a single person who smokes [Music] no cigarette [Music] If you want, I can show you, he said, let’s go, we won’t say no, when did you hear him say no to the paper? My friends, God, there was so much mud all over me, come on, let’s see, the deceased a year ago, eee sorry, I didn’t bury the deceased a year ago, eee he died, he’s been living at home for a year, and tomorrow they’ll bury him, and it’s very hard to walk around in this skirt because the skirt is on my feet. Yes, he’s currently in a coffin, he lived at home for a year, I asked his children, he was talking, he said, do you want breakfast, he said, yes, of course, according to Christian customs, he left his bag. [Music] e there’s a coffin and a cross, thank you, Turkey, Turkey , you’ll say, what’s the connection, Christian, in the poraja religion, I mean, their animist religion, I’m throwing this lady into the Catholic religion, but the Portuguese made her Catholic, and they said, okay, he said, I mean, the lady’s ancestors, after all, they either do it by force, at gunpoint, or, you know, we’re helping , let me say, at her feet, because really, the real issue is exploitation, of course, people may have famine there, they use it, or they use wars, wars between their tribes, but they support a certain side, they don’t, and that’s a broader issue, but they become Christians, but of course, they’re old It is not that easy for them to lose their religion , a hybrid religion is formed, a new religion that is a mixture of the old animist religion emerges, their names are Christian but they have nothing to do with Christianity except for the Jesus statue on the coffin, in other words, there is no concept of living with a corpse in Christianity or Islam or in the religions we call Abrahamic religions, of course not only this, they have many traditions, shamans and some who refuse to go to the hospital, there are sons and daughters, very interesting tribes of course, because it has a very difficult name to reach, even if they accepted Christianity, they could not do much and they could not change their old ways, that is why we can still witness such things in 2025, this is very nice and shows that different cultures are still alive, this is where Habut is, how high is it, how did they do it that high, the things on them are also quite nice and interesting [Music] Friends who are interested in architecture, I brought you to a very strange village, it is incredible, oh wow wow wow wow wow wow wow friends, look here, the higher the rank of the dead, the more buffalo are sacrificed to the dead, the more buffalo are sacrificed to the dead, look here They lined up in rows , maybe a very important person, maybe the chief of the tribe, and here, oh my God, how important a person, how important a person, look at the number of buffalo sacrificed, dozens of these buffalo were sacrificed, yes, I saw it for the first time in Argentina, I also showed you a big cemetery, but we came to a cemetery, look, they made a statue of the deceased here, I think this statue is made of wood, and it is almost identical and it is a giant house, these people are taken out of their graves at certain times of the year , they meet with their relatives somehow and they are cleaned, Maria Banang Nenek Gita here passed away and started living in this house, her necklace, her traditional clothes, of course, these are probably very important people for the society, as I said, Toraja is animist, these people continue their animist beliefs, no matter how Catholic or Protestant they are, it ‘s quite common here, this lady is like that, well, this is her husband, her husband is a soldier, she is known like this because she is an important person, the statues inside the glass, my friends call it tav tavu, well, it’s wood, I mean, there are very special people who do this job to make it look like this, I mean, there is a whole family here, friends , they take care of the old graves, of course that is, even though they are Catholic and Protestant , those who watch my old Laos videos etc. know the culture of worshipping ancestors, it is actually an animist religion, as I said, they have converted to Catholicism, but there are funeral ceremonies that have nothing to do with Catholicism, I will show you something you have never seen before, these are tombs hanging on rocks, my friends, there is a reason why they hang them on rocks, they hang them on rocky slopes , they are hung high, so that the soul is closer to the sky, the higher the better, of course, these coffins rot over time because they are wooden and the bones inside are exposed, and the skulls are scattered around, but this is very, very important, these skulls that are scattered around are not reburied, the reason for this is not death, but re It is thought that the thought has started a new spiritual journey, again they put them in graves like this to remember the ancestors, that is, respect for the ancestors, animism is also very important, worshipping the ancestors is actually very important, as the graves hanging above rot, the bones fall to the ground and they do not collect those bones, which means a new journey, that is, while walking, you may accidentally step on them, I throw a bone here, there is a bone on your head, of course, a rock tomb may also fall in this grave, there are bones again, these are people, friends, I mean, the grandmothers and grandmothers of the people you know, maybe they may be older, but of course, these are older, they are a little bit more, they do not resemble badly made things , they make it simpler, oh, the ones in the back scared me a little bit [Music] Look, for example, one of them is Chinese, they say China, half Chinese, half Indonesian, or Chinese living in Indonesia, for example, the brother has glasses, yes, there are a lot of bones here again, human bones, of course, the higher they are, the more they reach the sky, but it also means status, friends, and of course, they clean these bones at certain times of the year, vow, look, they have put them in an orderly manner, there is a very solid, rich brother over there, or a woman, whatever, this is again, look in between they put it in like a tube they fit it in like this of course it’s very old maybe their families don’t know they don’t remember and an incredible bamboo bamboos rise to the sky friends it doesn’t end yes let’s continue it’s one of those houses we mentioned as I said it’s very important death is another journey and it’s celebrated death I mean they are not sad like us that much eeeh death means something to be celebrated for the Toraja people this is Slovakia island is very far from us that’s why even though Christianity came they could only change this much that ‘s why they laugh and do things you might find interesting hello how are you my friend why not I’m still in shock come on come on okay 000 what are you doing gu sleeping guide come on let’s see you gulik you will do bismillahirrahmanirrahim heh a this is the TikTok tiktok I never expected it, it was a cave at the last stop, continue, the dead come out, look , we gave e-cigarettes as gifts at the ceremony of the dead here they return with cigarettes, it is the same in prisons, it happens in American movies, they pay with cigarettes, etc. cigarettes have become a currency here, I have seen here that cigarettes are really a currency, and I have also seen in prisons in American movies [Music] Tonan houses, friends, funeral ceremonies are held here, of course it creates a very beautiful image, bikers come, they take pictures, rambu solo, that is, funeral ceremonies, big ceremonies are held here, these opposite are the barns, friends, warehouses, and the same thing and the roofs are also a big shadow they came with their own special photographers look photo widow hello guys and right behind them the cemeteries start as I said they live the dead together in their homes for a long time and then they bury them my friends yes those on this side are areas like barns and warehouses those on this side are used as ceremonial areas today let’s see now of course rice fields and buffalo as I said the more buffalo are sacrificed for the dead the more valuable the dead are my friends home friends the cave I just entered was inside that mountain now we are going to a very important place for here again let it be a surprise but I took a motorcycle taxi for 17 minutes about a little less than 2 dollars lol look guys look who is smoking or who is riding the motorcycle or a child is driving 3 people got on the motorcycle 1 strike 1 penalty 2 are using at a young age 3 are smoking on the motorcycle but these look at the school uniforms the advantages of riding a motorcycle for children there are really so many things related to death and death in this city coffins death preparations after death preparations they tried to find immortality somehow these are gas stations friends here petrol offices there is also cocoa here I thought it was coffee while coming here cocoa is the raw material of chocolate Mexicans Meşika hastekler invented it they call it lottle they call it lot lattle like this it speaks a little from the palate nahtle language çak hay chakula nahuatle Tomatle patatle here potato tomato all comes from there and Spanish Spaniards first saw it there there is sweet essence of flowers they mix it with it and drink it when they see chocolate little Spanish take Spain to Europe hello and chocolate enters our lives there are very interesting rock tombs here my friends ooe this place has an indisputable culture very interesting I mean death is even beyond life think like that here a little now let me show you the environment I am in I talked a lot rice fields among the fields what is this I swear I didn’t know what this is you know if it is not something specific to here rock tombs we also have rock tombs of course the old ancient Roman and ancient Greek Phrygians put them around the rice fields from the Anatolian civilizations period there is a difference between looking at these tombs and understanding them yes there are interesting toy like statues but what do these statues mean first of all these rock tombs my friends It is made by hand, people carve these rock tombs with their hands, workers carve them and it can take days or months, these sculptures you see are wooden, not everyone has this sculpture and not everyone’s sculpture may look the same to them, of course the reason for this is that those who do not have money, those who cannot pay this money, oh the owners of the graves, those who can have their sculptures made exactly the same, of course they are richer, they are covered with lid stones, look, some of the lids are gold plated, some are just made of wicker or bamboo, and this also symbolizes wealth, the higher the graves, the higher the social status of the deceased, my friends, rambu solo ceremonies, funeral ceremonies, that is, they are done to send the spirit of the dead to the other world called Puya, look, they believe in Puyo, that is, heaven is not hell, Puyo, but they also have crosses, you see here, they pray with their hands open, their palms up, again these rock tombs are here, oh these are again miniatures of the traditional houses of this place, they are made as altars for the dead, these miniatures are, oh they believe that the deceased preserves their spiritual power, look, there is a cross here again, they have just died and they have offered water on the cross, sometimes it lasts for weeks, these ceremonies last for weeks and families dance They are crying but it is a celebration. They clean the tav-tavlas continuously. They visit these statues and the corpses every year and clean them too. Of course the view is wonderful. The limestone is still here. The graves continue. The limestone mountains. I thought I went for a walk like this. Look, a coffin appeared in front of me. Repentance, my Lord. Aluk Toodolo is the name of the animist religion. Alukodolo, my friends, means the way of the ancestors. In other words, worshiping the ancestors is similar to the animist beliefs we see all over the world. The rock tombs continue. They believe in the balance of life and death in nature spirits, now this puya we call heaven in the sky, the higher the grave, the closer it is to puyo, in other words, the rich put their graves in the highest possible place, in other words, in a way, even the rich have something in the afterlife, of course, these graves are the doors to Puya, the doors to enter, that’s why they are very, very important, look, there are also classical Christian graves here, but again, they didn’t take any risk and built them here, I thought there would be more tourists here, but unfortunately, there are no, I’m alone, I mean, we said they became Christians, but they don’t let them, they celebrate Christmas, for example, there is an event like this with these sacrifices, I showed you, for example, there is a buffalo on the house, they slaughtered 100 buffalo, for men, for women, this has such an advantage, they accompany on the journey to the other world, in other words, the reason they slaughter animals is that they accompany on the journey, the rock tombs of animals, the higher the passage, the faster the grave, these people reach the place they call heaven, how interesting religions, how interesting beliefs, even if Christianity has come here it means they had such a strict religious belief that they couldn’t change it no matter what they did they accept it, the same with the Asteks and the Mayans, you know I took you to a Mayan village there is a church in the village I went there a lot by the way Cristobal Delas Kasas city and it’s an hour away it’s a very special village because it has very stubborn people they burn the church down and then in the end the Catholic church accepts it and says okay let them do whatever they want they fill the church with straw they say they are Christians they put straw in the church they don’t know the Bible they don’t know Jesus they only know the saints but also the saints like this their biggest god is the sun god they put mirrors on the statues of the saints there is another idol worship because the statue reflects the sun again somehow well at that time he escaped death from torture he accepts Catholicism but he accepts St. Francis for example he says to St. Francis “The Azusa French is our sun god.” they say “don’t let anyone tell you” and they still continue they slaughter chickens on those straws they scatter the blood of the chickens like that they offer Coca-Cola to Saint Pransis etc. I mean is this not Christianity I mean of course not eee it is not possible for the Catholic Church to accept this anyway but as I said they accept it somehow because of the difficult conditions of that period but they believe in such a hybrid religion that is a mixture of two religions [Music] I found another grave site here while walking look here they did something like that the people there are watching from the balcony like politicians oh this didn’t happen but they used this place like a warehouse like garbage it didn’t happen I’m sorry ah there is an old aunt here look look what might have happened to her here by the way if she likes beer in that grave my friends oh my aunt her earrings and glasses eee they even put her face on look her pearl necklace eee I don’t want to go in because they put it down to her slippers her scissors eee the braid on her arm her glasses everything her jewelry are gold and really eee sometimes gold and pocket eee pocket They even put their phones here, probably the husband and wife, they are very important names, there is an altar in front of them and they have made statues of them with their glasses and stuff like that, which look quite similar, the statues are obviously rich and they are watching this view, the statues are beautiful, the most beautiful, enjoyable aunt, but i swear, they made it very nice, they even put his hat, I heard the news the other day, there is a famine in Japan, our Yoş also wrote about the rice famine and the people are suffering a lot, he wrote about rice everywhere in Asia, where I have traveled, how is there a famine in Japan, I mean, the rich country cannot buy from these, it is interesting, there is a problem in rice production in Asia because I mean, there is an innumerable amount of rice produced here, it is a classic Toraja village, the ones opposite the houses are always warehouses, I mean, the opposite of the road is that house These folos belong to their owner , again they are sacred animals on their journey to the afterlife, so the thing is, like in many religions, they are preparing for the afterlife, they think that if they do the rituals correctly when they die in this world, they will live happily in the afterlife, it is a very interesting culture that is still preserved, of course, being in the middle of an island like Slovakia has made a great contribution to this preservation, they have preserved their language, they speak Toraja, their religion has been at least the same for about 400-500 years, let’s say so because the Dutch and the Portuguese reached here and changed their religion, here again you can think of cocoa as almonds, these are also drying mushrooms, let ‘s see, let’s continue, where is our next stop, let’s see, what brand is this car, look at the car, let’s see, who knows the brand of the car, for God’s sake, it’s not written here either, let’s see, I don’t know, we came to the graves, but the application does not work here, so there is no taxi to take me here, where did we come from, this road does not exist anyway, taxi here taxi motobike taxi no, we are burned [Music] This is the ice cream man, it’s very funny, how is the man covered in mud, there is whispering everywhere there is a whispering sound friends, don’t be fooled, hello, people are smiling but I think two more people warned this area, it is forbidden to enter this area without a guide, friends, it will be a problem, even the girl said, I mean, do you have a guide, I said no, but she said that coming with a guide, you can enter here with a guide, I mean, also, I don’t know about snakes or anything, I’ve been walking for a while, there are no, I mean, there are no taxis, the churches I mentioned , there are so many churches, it’s the first time I’ve seen so many churches, how interesting, the ones that work so fast here have started working now, I’ve come to so many things, no, look, all the drivers are busy, it says busy, anyway, I’m going to where this sound is coming from, the weather is hot too, thank God, it’s so cool here, it’s high, it’s 1000 meters, heh, we won’t die here, I’ve walked for an hour, we got vitamin D for free, it’s still short, the snow of the day is short, oh, let me buy some bananas from here, hello, hello [Music] How are you banana yes , that’s all, friends, 70 dollars cents, canton ok [Laughter] How is espa, thank you, thank you [ __ ], thank you, thank you, terima kasih ali, friends, unfortunately, we couldn’t find a taxi, I’ve gone a long way, how are you [Laughter] what’s going on? feed the people behind you and make me close the door, I swear you got used to it, oh yeah , we’re going to the city center, it’s like a minibus, this is the only thing I could find [Music] e [Music]

“Aluk To Dolo”, kelime anlamıyla “Ataların Yolu” demektir.

Toraja mezar mimarisi benzersizdir.

  3. Domuzlara yaptıkları işkence. Allah belanızı versin be! Dinler yüzünden insanlar kendilerini her canlının üstünde görüyor. Herkesin önünde o zavallı can çekişti.
