岐阜県不破郡垂井町に鎮座する南宮大社は、美濃国の一宮として知られ、鉱山・金属業の総本宮として全国から深い信仰を集める古社です。

金山彦大神（かなやまひこのおおかみ）：金属に関する神様で、金運上昇、商売繁盛、厄除け、交通安全、学業成就、安産祈願などにご利益があるとされています。

歴史と「南宮造」の社殿
関ヶ原の合戦で焼失後、徳川家光によって再建された社殿は、和様と唐様が融合した独特の「南宮造」。本殿や楼門など18棟が国の重要文化財に指定されています。鮮やかな朱塗りの社殿は圧巻です！

Nangu Taisha Shrine, located in Tarui Town, Fuwa District, Gifu Prefecture, is known as the Ichinomiya of Mino Province and is an ancient shrine that attracts deep faith from all over the country as the head shrine of the mining and metal industry.

Kanayamahiko no Okami: A god related to metals, he is said to bring good fortune in money, prosperity in business, protection from evil, road safety, academic success, and safe childbirth.

History and the “Nangu-zukuri” shrine building
After being burned down in the Battle of Sekigahara, the shrine building was rebuilt by Tokugawa Iemitsu in the unique “Nangu-zukuri” style, which combines Japanese and Chinese styles. 18 buildings, including the main hall and tower gate, have been designated as important cultural properties by the country. The vivid vermilion-painted shrine building is a masterpiece!

Valuable cultural property: There are plenty of things to see, such as the Ishiwabashi Bridge in front of the tower gate and the precious sword “Katana Mei Sanjo”, which still exists today.
