北海道の東端に位置する霧多布岬。どこまでも広がる太平洋、荒々しく切り立つ断崖、そしてその先端にちょこんと佇む、赤と白のコントラストが可愛らしい灯台。
眼下に広がるのは、どこまでも続く青い海原。水平線が霞む彼方まで視界が開け、その雄大さに言葉を失います。そして、長年の歳月をかけて自然が作り上げた断崖絶壁。その力強い造形美は、まさに自然の芸術そのものです。
緑の絨毯を敷き詰めたような大地と、ごつごつとした岩肌のコントラストもまた見事。厳しい自然環境の中で力強く生きる植物たちの息吹を感じます。
そして何と言っても、この景色のアクセントになっているのが、赤と白に塗られた可愛らしい霧多布灯台！青い海と緑の大地に映えるその姿は、まるで絵本の中から飛び出してきたようです。小さくても、しっかりとこの海の安全を見守ってきた灯台の存在が、この雄大な景色に温かい彩りを添えています。
北海道の「霧多布岬」に建つ灯台は、正式名称を湯沸岬灯台（とうぶつみさきとうだい）といいます。
白い塔体に赤い帯が特徴の可愛らしいデザインで、実効光度は北海道随一の82万カンデラを誇ります。「霧の岬」の名の通り、霧が多い中でも船の安全を守る重要な役割を担います。
2016年には「恋する灯台」にも認定され、ロマンチックな雰囲気も魅力。
周辺にはラムサール条約登録湿地の霧多布湿原が広がり、豊かな自然に囲まれた魅力的な灯台です。
Cape Kiritappu is located at the eastern end of Hokkaido. The endless Pacific Ocean, the rugged cliffs, and the cute lighthouse with its red and white contrast that sits on the tip of the cliffs.
Below you can see the endless blue ocean. The view opens up to the horizon, and you will be left speechless by its majesty. And the cliffs that nature has created over many years. The powerful beauty of their shape is truly a work of art of nature.
The contrast between the earth, which looks like a carpet of green, and the rugged rock surface is also magnificent. You can feel the breath of the plants that live powerfully in the harsh natural environment.
And the cute red and white Kiritappu Lighthouse is the highlight of this view! Its appearance, which stands out against the blue ocean and green earth, seems to have jumped out of a picture book. Although it is small, the lighthouse, which has been watching over the safety of this sea, adds a warm color to this majestic view.
The lighthouse that stands on Cape Kiritappu in Hokkaido is officially called Cape Tobutsu Lighthouse.
It has a cute design with a white tower body and a red band, and boasts an effective luminous intensity of 820,000 candelas, the highest in Hokkaido. As its name “Cape of Fog” suggests, it plays an important role in ensuring the safety of ships even in the fog.
In 2016, it was certified as a “Love Lighthouse,” and its romantic atmosphere is also an attraction.
The surrounding area is Kiritappu Marshland, a Ramsar Convention registered wetland, and it is an attractive lighthouse surrounded by rich nature.
