東伊豆 2泊3日旅行記 後編：熱川大和館の特別室で海鮮三昧！ ~East IZU Trip V-Log Part-3/ENG Sub.~
After Kiranosato stay, we come back to Izu Kogen Station I have some time before checking into next hotel We would like to have lunch in Izu Kogen area Please see this V-LOG about Day-1 lunch and hotel stay Today’s lunch restaurant is very soon When We went to Izu Teddy Bear Museum yesterday, We found a nice restaurant How about this restaurant? Isn’t it stylish? Kenny’s House Cafe Izu Kogen It’s a Hawaiian-style restaurant. Very nice Various menu. Beef stew looks good Loco moco. Hamburger. Looks delicious We are on vacation. Let’s have a Hawaiian beer Cheers Yup, it’s delicious My wife’s fruit waffles have arrived Let’s enjoy Yup, it’s delicious Fruit is very fresh Waffles are fluffy and delicious Let’s add whipped cream Whipped cream isn’t too strong It’s fluffy and light Let me try soft ice cream Wow, it’s so rich and excellent I order cheeseburger Wow, what a big portion Wow, it’s so heavy Let’s eat Wow, what meat! It has a Hawaiian feel It has also Japanese taste. Oh, station sign is cute About 15 minutes from Izu Kogen Station We arrived at Izu Atagawa Station There’s a hot spring foot bath in front of the station Steam from hot springs is amazing We’ll take a shuttle bus to the hotel We’ve arrived at today’s hotel Atagawa Yamatokan Check-in completed Today’s room is on the 9th floor My room is here Quick room tour Here is special room called Bikei 10-tatami Japanese-style room Large TV There is relaxing space on the in-room balcony Very nice ocean view We can see Izu Oshima Island There is a tea corner on the in-room balcony Cups and tea set Refrigerator There is water in the refrigerator Vending machines are on the 2nd floor Single-sized sink in the bathroom It looks like a business hotel Toilet is near the entrance What’s special about this special room plan? Actually, it’s two rooms connected It has a twin bedroom The balcony has a semi-open-air hot spring We can enjoy hot spring with ocean view Hot spring is hot water gushing out from underground Water area is next to the bedroom Another toilet 2nd sink and Shower booth We’ll have two rooms to ourself That’s it for special room tour Actually, there are no vacancies during Japanese spring holiday week Only the special room is available Let’s enjoy this gorgeous room Then I go to large public bath Large public bath is on the 2nd floor Large public bath is right after elevator Men’s and women’s baths change depending on time of day Men’s bath after check-in time was large Hinoki bath Open-air spa-house style bath has a great sense Women’s bath is large rock bath Open-air bath by the shore, listening to wave sound Vending machines are on the 2nd floor I think the price is reasonable After hot spring, relax in my room Let’s go to dinner! Dinner restaurant is on the 1st floor We’ll eat at Restaurant Monarch We were given small separate dining room Dinner set is already on standby Menu is like seafood party Let’s light abalone grill Oh, abalone is dancing Then, see you later I order Takasago, a local sake from Shizuoka Cheers with Japanese sake It’s refreshing and delicious Let’s eat Urui (Wild vegetable) and mizuna green salad Yes, slight bitterness is good Is this salmon mousse? Let’s try Ohh, it’s marvelous Yes, it’s fantastic Japanese black beef on a ceramic plate Let’s eat Yes, it’s juicy Delicious Grilled abalone is ready Squeeze lemon a little Wow, 1 abalone per person, that’s amazing Let’s enjoy Mmmmm, wonderful It’s the best It pairs perfectly with Japanese sake There’s lobster sashimi and tuna With abalone, it’s amazing, it’s so luxurious I’m very happy I’m so satisfied… I forget something Braised whole red snapper Oh my, what a surprise! A whole fish for 2 people? Let’s eat red snapper Mumm, tasty, flavor is soaked in It’s quite a strong seasoning It’s delicious with the ginger I don’t expect a whole fish Izu Atagawa & Inatori is famous for red snapper Delicious, the best Sweet flavor matches with rice Soup is red miso soup Ah, it’s rich and delicious For dessert, fruit and matcha pudding Let’s enjoy Matcha flavor is quite strong What about fruit? Strawberries are a little sour Amazing dinner, lots of dishes It’s the gorgeous dinner Very satisfied. Thank you very much I’d like to take a walk at night after dinner Walking around night streets of Atagawa, Izu Atagawa is a hill town, so climb is tough From the commonality of hill town, Collaboration event with Jiufen, Taiwan Atagawa Taiwan Lantern Project was in progress Taiwanese lanterns are lit up, it’s amazing It has a similar atmosphere to Jiufen in Taiwan Nice alley Main venue is in sight Wow, there are so many food stalls and people And a lot of Taiwanese lanterns is amazing It’s beautiful This is my first time in 13 years to come to Izu Atagawa To be honest, it doesn’t seem to be thriving I hope that events will get a second mind to Izu Atagawa Onsen I went to see Taiwan Festival I’ll go back to my room and take a bath I’ll have an evening drink I’ll enjoy the hot spring water gushing out from underground Hot spring water is super-hot, so I’ll add water and stir it… It was a struggle I wonder if the dirt is a little noticeable It has a little displeasure, but in-room hot spring is very nice I took a bath and had evening drink Maybe because 9th floor, shower pressure is a little low And no Wi-Fi is inconvenient Tomorrow breakfast is early So, I want to go to bed Good night Good morning I wake up with wave sound Today is fine day Because breakfast is early I’ll get ready Let’s go to breakfast I can smell the ocean Breakfast restaurant is on the 1st floor We were given small separate dining room Breakfast set is ready It’s so luxurious. Let’s eat Lobster miso soup is amazing Ahh, what a great broth Sashimi is also amazing for the morning Let’s enjoy Yes, it’s delicious Kamaboko with wasabi pickles Izu’s specialty, pickled wasabi, is also delicious. How about salted squid guts? Yeah, it’s rich It’s tasty. Easy to eat It’s a simmered dish Yeah, it’s very nice Boiled eggs by hot spring Humm, rich Flavor of the broth is just right Dried horse mackerel Let’s eat Yup, it’s very good Izu area is famous for its dried fish Dessert time Yes, almond tofu is refreshing. Very nice Finally, a refreshing dish I’ve finished my breakfast For a hot spring hotel breakfast, it’s absolutely gorgeous They have sashimi, dried fish, and onsen eggs Lobster miso soup is the special one Very satisfied.
