🏞 概要
丸神の滝は、埼玉県で唯一「日本の滝百選」に選ばれた名瀑で、自然豊かな秩父地方を代表する観光地のひとつです。
滝は標高約900メートルの山中にあり、**落差は約76メートル（3段）にも及びます。最上段は特に迫力があり、切り立った岩壁を伝って白い水流が流れ落ちる姿は、まさに自然の芸術です。

滝は深い森の中に位置しており、周囲は四季折々の景観に恵まれています。

🚶‍♂️ アクセスとハイキング
駐車場から滝までは徒歩約15～20分のハイキングコース。やや急な山道ですが、木道や階段が整備されており、軽装でも訪問可能です。

両神山信仰と結びついた自然信仰の対象でもあり、滝自体が神聖な存在として見なされてきました。「丸神」という名も、神聖な水源としての意味を含んでいるとも言われています。

Marugami Falls is a spectacular three-tiered waterfall located in Ogano Town, Saitama Prefecture, on the forested slopes of Mt. Ryōkami. With a total height of approximately 76 meters, it is the only waterfall in Saitama selected as one of the “Top 100 Waterfalls of Japan.”

Surrounded by deep forest, Marugami Falls offers breathtaking scenery year-round:
Spring brings fresh green leaves and vibrant life.
Summer provides a cool escape with lush mossy rocks.
Autumn transforms the area with vivid red and gold foliage.
Winter sometimes creates a stunning frozen waterfall.
The uppermost tier of the waterfall is particularly dramatic, as water cascades down rugged cliffs in a graceful white stream, creating a scene of serene power.

🚶‍♂️ Access & Hiking
A well-maintained trail leads to the falls in about 15–20 minutes from the parking area. Though the path includes some stairs and uphill sections, it is accessible for most visitors and rewards you with a breathtaking view at the end.

The waterfall is closely connected to the sacred Mt. Ryōkami and has long been considered a spiritual site. The name “Marugami” is believed to reflect its sacred nature as a divine water source.
