【北陸観光】加賀温泉から気軽に行けるおすすめ観光地をご紹介!
This time, we went around the tourist spots of Kaga Onsenkyo in Ishikawa Prefecture by shuttle bus. This video was also taken when we went around the tourist spots of neighboring Fukui Prefecture by rental car. I hope this video will be helpful for those who will be traveling to Hokuriku in the future. Please subscribe to the channel and like the video. First, we will introduce Shibayamagata, the symbol of Katayamazu Onsen. If you stay at a hotel facing the lake, you can enjoy the changing colors of the lake surface from the window of your room. You can also experience kayaking and SUP while looking at the Hakusan mountain range. Next, we will introduce the spots where you can go sightseeing by riding the Kaga Tour Bus, CANBUS. The first place we visited was Kaga Traditional Craft Village Yunokuni no Mori. This is a traditional craft village where old thatched houses were relocated to a forest rich in nature covering an area of 43,000 tsubo . In this atmospheric space, you can also observe and experience traditional crafts. Umbrella Sky came into view in front of us. Decorated with umbrellas of various colors, the sunlight and the colors of the umbrellas combine to create a spot that is sure to be Instagram-worthy. The old-fashioned scenery and the colorful umbrellas blend together to create a unique landscape that you can never experience anywhere else. This is Yuzen Nagashi. This is one of the processes of Kaga Yuzen, a traditional craft of Kanazawa. This is the process of washing off the glue and excess dye from the fabric in the river. There are also various traditional craft museums on the premises. You can see many works up close and actually experience them. Since I had the chance, I decided to participate in the soba noodle making experience this time. This was my first experience making soba. The craftsmen were kind and careful to teach me, so even a complete amateur like me was able to complete the soba successfully. Cutting soba looks easy when you watch it on TV. But it’s quite difficult when you actually try it. In the end, the soba noodles were uneven in thickness. But making soba is interesting. I can really understand the feelings of people who are fascinated by making soba. After the soba noodle making experience, I received a soba noodle making master certificate. So I’ll try the soba I made myself. The soba I made myself arrived. It looks like flat noodles. They said it was good, but I’d like to try it to see if they were just flattering. First, I’ll eat it. It’s delicious. This is the regular soba from the restaurant my wife ordered from. The color and the thickness of the noodles are different. The texture is smooth. This one has a smoother texture and goes down better. This one is a little uneven. But this one is also delicious. I tried comparing them, and gradually the soba I made myself tasted better. The soba from the restaurant my wife ordered from is made by machine, so it’s all uniform. These are made by hand, so they’re uneven, but they mix with the soup and are delicious. That’s why handmade soba is so delicious. They mix with the soup and have a good bite. All the soba made by machine are the same thickness. So the taste is consistent. This one has the taste of handmade by myself. I’m not saying I’m overconfident, but handmade soba tastes better. I understand now why handmade soba is so delicious. If you have time, please try it. Excuse me. Next, we took a shuttle bus to the Japan Automobile Museum. This is one of the largest automobile museums in Japan. It displays about 5,000 cars, mainly those that were active in Japan in the 20th century, in the condition they were in when they were used. The cars are displayed in categories based on various concepts such as manufacturer and genre. This is a facility where you can visit while reminiscing about the past, such as old nostalgic cars and cars you admired, and is recommended for car lovers. The third facility is Tsuki Usagi no Sato. In this rabbit square, various types of rabbits are free to play. You can buy rabbit food and feed and interact with your favorite rabbits. Just gently stroking the head of the rabbit that happily eats the food you feed is very soothing. It is recommended for those with children, as well as those who need healing from daily stress. The fourth is Nakaya Ukichiro’s “Snow Science Museum”. This facility was built by Kaga City in Katayamazu Onsen, the hometown of Nakaya Ukichiro, who was the first person to successfully make artificial snow. You can enjoy beautiful and mysterious experiments such as diamond dust and ice pendants. However, please note that this facility will be closed until March 31, 2026. Next, I rented a car and went to the tourist spots in neighboring Fukui Prefecture. I got some advice from the tourist information center about renting a car. Rather than renting a car from a store around Kaga Onsen Station, it is better to rent a car from Smile Rental Car Awazu Onsen store in the neighboring town and have it brought to the hotel. In fact, I rented a minicar for two days plus eight hours. It was 13,750 yen, so I was able to rent it at a great price. The first place I went to in my rental car was Tojinbo. This is a cliff that is famous as a cliff where criminals are often cornered in detective dramas. It is said that there are only three places in the world where the spectacular cliffs stretch for about 1 km. Therefore, it is a very valuable geological site as one of the three most spectacular places in the world. I wanted to see these cliffs from the sea, so I took a sightseeing boat. [Guide’s explanation] Sorry to keep you waiting. Thank you very much for boarding the sightseeing boat today. I have a request for all of you. Life jackets are under your seats. Please wear them when you board. Now, we will head towards Oshima Island, which you can see ahead, with a bridge over it. Look at the exposed rocks up to the center of the island. It is called wavy rock because it is tilted 45 degrees to the south and resembles the rough waves crashing from offshore. The rocks of Tojinbo are shaped like pillars. This looks like a hanging pillar. It is called upside down rock because it is upside down from Tojinbo. Look at the whitish part of the rock a little ahead on the left. If you look at that whitish part from below, it looks like a large beehive, so it is called beehive rock. The whitish part is limestone. The rocks of Tojinbo are called columnar joints. The character for columnar pillar is written as ‘pillar’, and it is shaped like a pillar standing up. As the boat moves forward, watch as the columnar joints get bigger and bigger. Columnar joints of this scale are very rare, and there are only three in the world. Mount Kumgang in North Korea. The west coast of Norway. And this is Tojinbo, which you are looking at now. Yes, we pass behind the Lion Rock with its ears and hair standing up. This Lion Rock can only be seen from the boat. From this area, it looks like it is sitting with its front legs stretched out and looking in the other direction. What do you think? Did it look like a lion? It’s a bit tricky. There is a small rock, farther back. There is a place called Senjojiki, which has very good footing. It is often used for filming because it has good footing. In Tuesday Suspense Theater, this is where the corpses are raised. When the boat approaches the cliff, you can see it with great force, as if the cliff is approaching you. It is recommended because you can see the strangely shaped rocks with various names while listening to the explanations of the local guide. Of course, it is recommended because you can experience the atmosphere of a detective drama just by walking on the cliff. Standing on this cliff, I felt like I could understand a little bit of what a criminal would feel like confessing his crime. We also went to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. In the middle of the facility, a huge T-rex greets visitors with a powerful roar. The dinosaurs are so intricately made that a baby in a family was so scared that he was actually crying. This museum is apparently one of the three largest dinosaur museums in the world. In a very large space, large dinosaur skeletons, fossils, specimens, dioramas, and reconstructed models are all displayed in a cramped space. You can see the impressive dinosaurs up close. This museum is fun for both children and adults. This is a raptor that appeared in Jurassic Park. It looks like it’s really alive. If you go to Fukui Prefecture, this museum is highly recommended. How about it? You can travel around various tourist spots in Kaga Onsenkyo by bus, and if you rent a car, you can also visit neighboring Fukui Prefecture. This time, we were able to visit many tourist spots. If you know of any more attractive tourist spots, please let us know in the comments. If you enjoyed this video, please click the like button.
