Hello! This is emi . We are heading to Hinode Village, Nishitama District, Tokyo. Today, I am camping with my husband’s coworker, Mr. T. It’s been a while since we’ve had a sunny weekend (a midsummer day with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius). This is my first time in Hinode Village, and I’m looking forward to enjoying the delicious food and tourist attractions. I bought tofu milk soft serve and tofu flower donuts at Hinode Tofu Chitose-ya. We had lunch at Tachibana-ya, which opens at 11:00. The menu was rich, with ramen, rice bowls, and cold Chinese noodles, so it was delicious. Our destination is the campsite, Lodge Kanotoiwa. Check-in at the campsite is at 13:00. Since we have some time before check-in, we head to a place that has caught our eye. On the right is the auto campsite, Lodge Kanotoiwa. The building you can see further to the right is the reception. We’ll be back just before 1pm At the end of this road is a tourist spot called “Kanoto Rock,” so we decide to go there We can see the cabins and bungalows of Lodge Kanoto Rock (with toilets) The space on the left seems to be Lodge Kanoto Rock’s free site We parked the car in the parking lot, carried our luggage by hand, and used the toilet in front of the reception We arrived at the Kanoto Rock parking lot There is parking for about 10 cars, and there are also toilets This is a place where you can experience a very easy mountain stream walk, which takes about 5 minutes You can see Kanoto Rock above you This is a simple course to stroll along the mountain stream below Kanoto Rock My husband was worried because he thought we were going to climb the huge rock above us, Kanoto Rock There is a mountain stream walking course next to the sign There are plenty of negative ions near the stream and it’s cool! Sneakers are recommended as you will be climbing ladders and walking on narrow rocks The atmospheric rocks are exciting The rocks are narrow but there are chains so it’s safe We’re almost at the finish line It was so easy that it went by in a flash On the way back, instead of going back down the stream we just came from Go through this tunnel and you’ll return to the starting point Because it is a curved tunnel, you can’t see anything at all at the end You can see the tunnel on the screen thanks to the correction capabilities of the action camera But with the naked eye it is so dark that it is very scary The light from the entrance doesn’t reach you and for a moment there is pitch black darkness, but As you go further you can see the light at the exit and feel relieved It was a very short and interesting experience I think I could do it again I highly recommend a walk, so do it! We head to the campsite We will wait until check-in time There is only one restroom on the campsite, which is located in front of the reception desk For women, there are three Western-style toilets with heated toilet seats, (For men, there are two Western-style toilets with heated toilet seats and one urinal) Day camping is also possible The sites along the river are rented out as day camping areas, so if you want to use the river, you will need to check which area you can use We have checked in The car site is about a 30 second walk from the administration building There are only two car sites It’s a very large site! The site on the road side is closer to the toilets and the stairs leading down to the river The site at the back seems more private so we chose the one at the back We were told at reception that there is a large cabin opposite so we might be bothered by the noise of the people using it It seems like it would be good for a group camping trip if we rented out the two plots exclusively This time we all had our own tents Stacy, a collaboration between ogawa and Daviddy It had been a year since we last set up so I didn’t remember any of the steps I had even forgotten the size My husband had a hard time setting up the Elixir 2 after such a long time Mr. T’s panda was done in no time The ground was hard so we only hammered in four pegs We decided to go to the riverbank We checked with reception where we could go down to the riverbank It was so cold! All three of us are wearing Montbell sandals At first it was so cold that we couldn’t stay in for long But we got used to it It felt so good that we wanted to camp in the river The water is so clear There are still places rich in nature in the depths of Tokyo We must take good care of nature The bridge above is the bridge to the cabin We’re about to head back to the site It’s gotten cooler thanks to playing in the water We’re making predictions for Saturday’s horse racing For snacks, we bought Unohana donuts at Hihara Tofu “Chitose-ya” They had a gentle taste and were delicious♪ The Saturday horse racing, a secret pleasure, is about to begin, so please join us for a little while The most popular horse got off to a late start. I like horse racing, but I rarely win. The most popular horse, which got off to a late start, caught up. The second most popular and the most popular horse came. Mr. T got it right! There were only popular horses, so it seemed like there would be no dividends . I also got a trifecta win, but my husband didn’t. This is a bonfire sheet from TOKYO CRAFTS that can also be used as a firewood bag. Went to the reception to buy firewood. Coniferous wood was 770 yen (there was no broadleaf wood at the time). Raw chicken purchased through hometown tax donation. It ‘s delicious and I’ve been buying it again and again. I brought a Maclite 2 bonfire stand. Tonight’s dinner will be cooked over a bonfire. Maclite is light and easy to assemble, so I like it. We’ll use the firewood bag from earlier as a campfire sheet The sheet is wide and looks to provide good protection The grill part of the MacLite 2 can now be removed from the campfire stand Another grate stand has been added, making it easier to adjust the heat Performance has been improved We’re going to enjoy some summer vegetables Fava beans too Strong heat Looks yummy! The corn is also good This year’s corn has a high sugar content and is said to be a bumper crop Sweet and delicious The fava beans are delicious too♪ We’ll grill meat on the TOKYO CRAFTS “brick iron plate” Designed to fit perfectly on the MacLite! I seasoned it well at home Maybe because of the seasoning, the meat flipped over without sticking The first bite is done It was cooked just right and was delicious Once I poured Steak Miya’s sauce on it, it tasted like something from a real steak restaurant I was amazed at how well it could be cooked Is the thermal conductivity of the 5mm thick cast iron the reason it cooked so well? Cooking over the campfire is fun The campfire cooking continues The rainbow trout is waiting to be caught at the end Sprinkled on a generous amount of salt Starting to grill The MacRite grate is just right for skewers The grilled octopus cooked over the charcoal was quite bitter Let’s eat Even my husband, who doesn’t like river fish, said it was delicious He ate it with great enthusiasm I was worried that grilling it over the campfire would fail, but I’m glad it turned out well I’ve loved river fish since I was a child My stomach is full It’s 7pm and the sky is still bright After the meal, we played card games Mr. T brought a “Penguin Party” This is fun!!! It was fun and we tried many times But I was the weakest I brushed my teeth and got ready for bed The weather looked good The solo site below the car site It looked really nice There were only a few steps, so carrying our luggage in didn’t seem like a problem We went for a little walk It was a nice campsite I think it’s about time to head back There’s nothing in the tent that we’re going to use anymore, so we cleaned it up At night, I didn’t get inside my sleeping bag (450D) and slept with it over my body The temperature in the morning was 20℃, so it looked like it was going to be hot again today I’ll prepare breakfast 2 cups A pleasant smell to wake up to Even though it’s June, the sky is like midsummer Rice accompaniments each of us picked out at the supermarket It’s easy to just heat it up! After we tidied up, we decided to go to the hot springs in Hinohara Village We packed up our tents It’s been a while since we last used the Stacy It was more than enough comfortable space for one person and it was easy to spend time in It’s compact, and I can see why it’s been loved for so long The TC tarp created a deep shade and was comfortable The “Crescent” tarp by “Telo” has a beautiful crescent shape The color is desert gray (it was on sale at the outlet) It’s hot in the sun! The water is very cold! A campsite where you can enjoy camping after strolling through the mountain stream at Kanotoiwa in Hinode Village It was fun If you want a sticker from the campsite, you can get one in the capsule toy shop The rainy season has passed without much rain, and hot days are coming I want to enjoy camping at my own pace while taking precautions All campers should also take precautions Let’s get through the coming heat of the summer Please take care of yourself and don’t push yourself too hard

ロッジ神戸岩でキャンプ

今回は焚き火調理をするのにぴったりな焚火台マクライトを使用しました
初代のマクライトを利用していたのですが、今回マクライト2を利用する機会をいただきました。
焼き台が焚火台から外れるようになったり、ｺﾞﾄｸを乗せる段が追加され火力調整がしやすくなったりと進化していました。
薪の持ち運びもできる薪バッグは焚火シートとしても利用できる2WAY使用。
マクライトとの相性もぴったり。
さらにマクライトにちょうど乗る煉鉄板を使い、夕飯は全て焚き火調理。
鋳鉄の鉄板だとこんなに美味しくお肉や野菜を焼くことができるのかと感動しました✨
