카무이 미사키 에메랄드 바다와 새우라멘-일본 홋카이도 여행

This is the second and last video of my trip to Sapporo, Japan. I booked a bus tour led by a Korean guide for this trip to Sapporo. It was a course to visit Kamui Misaki, Misaki-no-yu Onsen, and Otaru. At first, I also looked into Biei. Since I went in early May, I didn’t think I would be able to see the most beautiful scenery of Shikisai no Oka or Blue Pond, even if I took a bus tour of Biei, so I think I should go there when it’s snowing or when the flowers are in full bloom in the summer. That’s why I signed up for a bus tour toward Otaru, which is less affected by seasonal factors . This is because I thought that the sea called Kamui Misaki wouldn’t change much due to the season . A Korean guide accompanied me, and he explained the history of the area one by one, which was very helpful for my understanding. Kamui Misaki is located at the tip of the Shakotan Peninsula. The sea here is so beautiful and famous for its emerald color, it’s also called Shakotan Blue. Of course, the day I went, the weather was a bit cloudy, so it wasn’t completely emerald, and it didn’t show up well on camera, but the sea color was still pretty. Fortunately, it wasn’t that windy the day I went . I heard that the wind is very strong here. It’s said to be so strong that it can be very dangerous, and when that happens, entry is sometimes prohibited. “Shakotan” is said to be the language of the Ainu, the original indigenous people of this Hokkaido region. “Shako” means summer and “kotan” means village. So is this a summer village? “Kamui” also means “god” in the Ainu language. “Misaki” means “cape”. It means “God’s cape.” What is Ganjeolgot or Homigot? A cape is a specific place where we can see the sunrise first on land. I thought that this place might have the same meaning as a cape in Japan because of its location. But since it’s called ‘God’s Cape’, I think it might have a sacred meaning that is a bit different from our country’s, related to the sacred site of the Ainu, the indigenous people of this place, or some traditional religion . I thought about this while walking, but in the beginning of the video of my staycation at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Busan, there was a video of the Yonggung Cloud Bridge at Songdo Amnam Park. It felt a bit like that. Hokkaido is quite large. It’s about 80% of the size of South Korea, so I thought that I would have to take a long time to travel there . As you may know, it was a land that Japan forcibly colonized after the Meiji Restoration . So it was thoroughly planned as a planned city, and traces of the indigenous Ainu people remain here and there. The Japanese government did not recognize the Ainu, the indigenous people of this place , until 2019, when they officially recognized them. There must have been many reasons, including conflicts with Russia , but it seems absurd that the Meiji Restoration actually began in the late 1800s, and that recognition was granted relatively recently in 2019. At the entrance to Kamui Misaki, there was a wooden sign that said “No women allowed.” Of course, women are allowed to enter now, but to put it briefly, a certain military commander from mainland Japan lost a power struggle and fled to Hokkaido, where he was cared for by an indigenous Ainu chieftain, and fell in love with the chieftain’s daughter. The two broke up because the military commander was going to leave for mainland Japan again. So the chieftain’s daughter chased after him, and when she reached Kamui Misaki, the tip of the Shakotan Peninsula , she saw a ship disappearing into the distance and jumped off. But she didn’t just jump off, she cursed and jumped off. I can’t let another woman experience the same sorrow as me . So there’s a legend that when a ship with a woman in it passes by, the wind is really strong. There’s this rock at the end of Kamui Misaki that you can see now . They say that this rock is where the body of the chieftain’s daughter who jumped turned into a rock. What I’m talking about now is just a legend. But since this legend was lifted in 1855, it seems like it’s been about 170 years since it was lifted. But whatever it is, I think Japan is really good at this kind of thing. I don’t know if this legend is true or not, but since it’s a legend, it’s obvious that it’s not true. But if I came here, I would have just thought, “The ocean is pretty,” and taken some pictures, but when I added a story, I think the place became a little more special. The rock called ‘Kamui Iwa’ that you see in the distance is a sea pillar that was formed by the ocean and waves, of course I don’t know much about geology, but anyway ?? It could be something like that, but when I added the story of the chieftain’s daughter, it looked different for no reason, and people took pictures with it as the background. I thought that Japan is good at this. Our country should also create more legends like these (lol) for local tourism . This is just my personal opinion. Even though it’s May, I could still see the snow-covered Seolsan Mountain in the distance. The upper region definitely looks like the upper region. This Kamui Misaki has the special feature of a 360-degree view of the ocean, and the guide said that the scenery on the way there and back was prettier, and I thought the same. The way back was prettier. They were selling ice cream in the Kamui Misaki parking lot, so I bought some. They said that it was inspired by the color of the ocean here. So I thought that this might be an extension of storytelling . As for the taste, it’s just ordinary ice cream. Since I came here, I don’t really like ice cream. The next course is lunch. There ‘s a restaurant nearby called ‘Ushio’ that’s famous for its sea urchin rice bowl . They say it’s famous, but there’s also a line. But in my opinion, it seemed like the only place where people gather around the Shakotan Peninsula to eat. That’s why I thought they might go there, and it didn’t seem like a place related to the tour . I don’t like raw food that much, but I didn’t want to come all this way and not try sea urchin, so I ordered it. Director Hong Yeon-jang said she couldn’t eat sea urchin at all, so she just ordered salmon rice bowl. Did I eat this and ^^chew it? (Director constipated) I don’t have a high level of taste to say that the food is fresh or anything, so I just thought the ocean flavor was strong. I just wanted to say that it satisfied my hunger. By the way, the price of the rice bowl varies depending on the type of sea urchin . I looked into why sea urchins are expensive and it turns out that they are 100% handmade and have low yields, are difficult to handle, are difficult to store, and have a short shelf life. This is Misaki no Yu hot spring. It is the only hot spring located on the Shakotan Peninsula and the hot spring here is a chloride hot spring with similar ingredients to sea water. However, they don’t draw sea water, but the hot spring water itself contains salty ingredients like sea water, so it is said to be better for your body . Believe it or not, there is an open-air bath. You can also see the ocean from the open-air bath. Personally, I liked it very much. If I had more time, I would have stayed longer. It doesn’t open in the morning, but opens at 12 noon, and I was the first customer. So in the case of the open-air bath, there were a few foreign substances… The foreign substances here are things like fallen leaves or dead bugs. There were a few of those floating on the water , but the weather was a little cool and a little cold, and it was an outdoor hot spring with a view of the ocean , so I just felt really good. By the way, I brought a towel, but if you don’t, you’ll have to buy it separately . Shampoo and body wash were provided. There’s a culture in Japan where you drink cold milk after a hot spring. So I bought some milk because they were selling it . I bought coffee milk. Next, we came to Otaru. Since we’re in Hokkaido, the representative tourist destinations are Sapporo and Otaru. So I’m going to check out Otaru. To be honest, the Otaru area isn’t a tourist destination, but rather a place for commerce . It feels like a street made up of only Hwangridan-gil. However, Gyeongju Hwangridan- gil has royal tombs, hills, and nice views, but here, it’s all shops. The first place we visited was Orgeldang. There’s a clock at the entrance to Orgeldang. It’s said to be a steam clock installed in 1993. Its characteristic is that it emits steam. Orgeldang is very spacious inside. At first, I thought, what is the point of the music box shop ? I wouldn’t buy a music box , but when I actually went in and looked at all these various and many pretty music boxes , I thought, “I might as well buy one. ” Of course, I put it down after seeing the price tag. Music boxes are really expensive. The music box shop was created to revive the declining Otaru area. Originally, Otaru was the center of Hokkaido. It’s a bit exaggerated, but it was called the Wall Street of northern Japan. It’s said that herrings were caught a lot. So the fishing industry developed and had to sell fish, so trade developed, and as trade developed, finance also developed. But these ocean resources aren’t infinite. They say that because they were caught too indiscriminately, the herrings dried up. So when the herrings weren’t caught well, this place began to decline, and then Sapporo, the largest city in Hokkaido, which was developed in a planned manner, became the central city. Walking around the Otaru area, I think it’s all just dessert shops. Le Tao is the most famous, and there are the main store, branch stores, plus stores, and chocolate stores, as well as Hello Kitty Cafe, Snoopy store, and other various stores . As I mentioned earlier, it was a town that was too blatant and said, “Hey! Spend money!!!”. Mr. Hong Yeon didn’t eat much, but he really enjoyed the desserts here. I filled my stomach with desserts, and the prices of desserts and ramen are similar. What do you think? The first taste? From what I’ve seen (yet), I haven’t eaten it, but it tastes a lot like rice cakes . Could you give me a taste review ? Is it already that way? Or is this a small portion? The rice cakes take up all of this, and um…?? (Taste review..) It costs about 9,000 won, but the rice cakes are now quite tasty. Oh, really? This one has two kinds of rice cakes. There are two kinds of rice cakes. -_-;; This is a fish cake shop called ‘Kamaei’ in Otaru . There was a store in the front and a factory in the back. It’s a fish cake brand from Hokkaido. They say it’s been around for over 120 years. I think it’s similar to Samjin Fish Cake in Korea . There were various vacuum-packed fish cake products, and there were also products where you could eat the freshly made fish cakes like fried food . The famous product here is called “Pangroll,” which is fish cake meat wrapped in thin bread and fried . It’s said to be a very popular menu item. I also bought two pieces of instant fish cake, or not instant, but fried fish cake that wasn’t packaged . The production facilities are also transparently disclosed. I guess that means they are confident. Is this a close-up shot? Sorry for the inconvenience. Maybe because I ate a little bit of sea urchin for lunch, the fish cake was really delicious. This is the Otaru Canal. Hmm………………… Is it pretty at night? When I heard the name Otaru Canal, I didn’t know why, but I expected it to feel a bit romantic, but it wasn’t really that great. It was just that great. I think I can just say this firmly. I don’t know if it’s called a canal, but it’s definitely a canal. As I said earlier, herring fishing was booming, but the big ships couldn’t anchor well because the sea here in Otaru was shallow . So they transported the seafood from the big ships, or coal, or whatever, one by one to the small ships. At that time, the small ships came in through this canal from the sea, and if you look at the video, there’s a warehouse-like thing next to the canal, so they stored the fish and whatever else. In other words, the fishing industry flourished here, and as logistics developed, the Otaru Canal was created. The food that left a lasting impression on me when I came to Sapporo was this ramen restaurant called Ebisoba Ichigen. On my first day in Sapporo, I also went to a famous lamb restaurant, but it was just okay. This is not to say that it was not delicious, but rather that lamb and such are now very common in our country , so it was nothing special. But this restaurant was a little special. They say that there is often a wait. They say that their rich shrimp broth ramen is famous nationwide. When we think of ramen, we usually think of tonkotsu or miso ramen, but this ramen restaurant boils a lot of sweet shrimp heads for a long time to create a very delicious and savory flavor . There was a Korean menu. You can choose a shrimp-only broth or a shrimp and pork bone broth, and you can choose between salt, miso, and shrimp soy sauce flavors . You can also choose thick or thin noodles. I ordered shrimp salt ramen with dumplings. Ah…. It was delicious. Since it was raining, I was craving soup and it wasn’t your typical ramen. Of course, the noodles are typical, but it really felt like they boiled our country’s cup ramen shrimp soup 5 times longer?? So it was impressive, savory, and good. Manager Hong Yeon also said it was good. This store is also on the 3rd floor of the domestic terminal at New Chitose Airport, so please refer to it. This is a sculpture in a park on the way to the Airbnb where I stayed . It was donated by Munich, Germany, which became a sister city with Sapporo in commemoration of the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics . The 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics were also the first Winter Olympics in Asia. There are actually a lot of videos on this trip about Sapporo TV Tower, Odori Park , etc. , so I think it would be good to organize the videos to this extent, so I’ll end with Nika-san. Thank you for watching ~ Bye~ Bye ~
