【低山→秘湯】 花の百名山 秋田駒とその周りに群がる秘湯たち! 乳頭温泉、国見温泉、水沢温泉

The area around Akita Koma is full of hidden hot springs, a paradise, and this is what it must be like. Hello, this is “8329 Channel”. Today, I’m at Akita Komagatake, “Akita Koma”. Akita Koma, known as one of the 100 famous flower mountains, will have traffic restrictions starting tomorrow, and private cars will no longer be able to enter the 8th station . It seems that the flowers are starting to bloom, so I’m going to try mountain climbing for the first time in a while. On the way back, let’s relax in a nearby hot spring! There are many hot spring resorts around Akita Koma. Near the starting point of Route 127, which leads to the 8th station of Akita Koma, there are many hot spring inns such as Mizusawa Onsen. Boasting an open-air bath overlooking Lake Tazawa, this is a luxurious resort hotel from the same chain as Aoni Sanso. After the restrictions are put into place, this will be the bus stop. The open-air bath is said to have a spectacular view . There are many other attractive inns, but this one is mainly for skiers in the winter. On the other side of Akita Koma is Kunimi Onsen . This is a mountain hut-style inn with a hidden hot spring feel, and the rare green water is popular. The view from the open-air bath is refreshing and amazing. And to the north of Akita Koma is the famous Nyuto Onsen! We are big fans and have already been there several times, but it is truly amazing . It’s no wonder that it’s the best in Japan that is hard to get a reservation for. (There is a separate video, so please take a look.) The other inns in Nyuto Onsen are also truly amazing. Each one has its own unique character, and I want to stay at each one. I’m excitedly thinking about which hot spring to go to on the way back. After turning right on Route 127, it’s a 7km mountain road. It’s paved, but narrow and the visibility is poor. From June 21st to August 15th, vehicles will not be allowed on the road, including on weekdays . After that, until October 20th, vehicles will only be prohibited on weekends. The hours are from 5:30am to 5:30pm. In October, the hours will be relaxed to 6am to 4:30pm. Basically, all vehicles except those with permission are subject to the restrictions. Regular buses run between Takahara Onsen and Komagatake Hachigome. “Alpa Komakusa” is the bus transfer point for private cars. There were already about 10 cars parked there, and most of them had already left. Even so, the view is beautiful and the weather is also fine. I think I might as well go home now. The 8th station parking lot is at an altitude of 1300m. There is a shelter and a toilet here. Overnight stays are prohibited except in emergencies, but it is well maintained. After changing clothes and getting ready, I washed my shoes to protect the environment, and it’s time to leave. I went like this and came back from here. This course takes just over 2 hours to go around, with an elevation difference of 300m. It’s been a long time since I last went mountain climbing, so I’m not going to push myself too hard. Of course, it’s a bear. Right after I started, there was a beautiful view . There was still snow left. I didn’t know (it’s so old!). Last time, I fell through a snowfield at Hachimantai. I think it’s a violet . This “new trail course” is suitable for beginners, with few steep climbs and a well-maintained path. If you’re going to a low mountain that you’re not good at, it’s safer and more satisfying to come here. However, the first 30 minutes are quite a climb, so let’s do our best . This was the most difficult part this time. I crossed the design, but I kept slipping! I’m finally half way there, but I’m already tired of it. I somehow managed to get through. This is the only difficult part of this course, so you can proceed without worry. The open space is covered with red clay soil, and there are benches, making it a good resting spot . Once you get here, the view opens up. Looking back, you can see the peak of Meoto-dake. It’s still early today, but it seems that from the second half of June you can enjoy a variety of flowers. Alpine violet, Komakusa, Nikko Hemerocallis , Ginguruma. It’s still mid-June, and alpine violets and Daikonsou flowers are starting to bloom. It’s already beautiful! Amazing. Is this your first time seeing flowers? There is a big stream in the shadow of the (Otoko-dake) where the Aeguruma vine grows, and it’s amazing. This place (Akita-koma) is nice, isn’t it? The snowfield was a little scary, but it was just right for us old people. The flower fields from Katakura Observatory to Amida-ike Pond are the main stage, and from late June you can enjoy a veritable riot of alpine plants. If you go right at the Amida-ike fork, you will reach Otoko-dake, and beyond that is Moomin Valley. I didn’t intend to push myself this time, but I took a quick peek at Otoko-dake . After climbing for about 5 minutes, I soon reached the ridgeline, to the right is Otoko-dake, and to the left is the path to Yoko-dake via Umanose. At the top of Otoko-dake, there is a stone shrine dedicated to Komagata-no-kami, and even today many people visit to worship there. Since I’m not good with heights, I turned back here and took a break at Amida-ike Pond . It’s really scary over there! He told me that beyond this ridgeline is Moomin Valley. There seems to be a course that goes around Mt. Yokodake. Next time, I want to go to Moomin Valley with my wife. Moomin Valley in July is said to be beautiful with the Acanthus japonica in full bloom. Take a break at Amida Pond . Actually, I love “Pee Sen” ( fried chili peppers). If you go left, you will reach Mt. Otoko, the highest peak in this area. I go right, then go left at the Yokodake fork and descend on the Rhododendron Course. From here, you just keep going along the ridgeline. It’s a road to the sky, and the blue sky feels close. At an altitude of 1,583m, Akita Koma has benches everywhere, so it’s nice to be able to take a break. After Mt. Yokodake , rhododendrons fill both sides of the road. It’s quite difficult to see rhododendrons in full bloom. I’ve tried many times at Mt. Goyo , but I haven’t seen them in full bloom yet. Last year, when I went in full bloom, it was pouring rain and I had a terrible experience. The view suddenly opens up as you see the Miyama Daikonsou. What are the flowers in front? There is nothing to block the view and the breeze is pleasant. It must be hell in bad weather. Akitakoma has many different expressions even though the elevation difference is not so much, so you will never get bored of walking. Shirane Aoi Kobaikeisou (White-spotted grass) As I crossed the Akakurazawa, the surrounding plants grew taller and the visibility narrowed. I heard a cry of “Whoa!” from a direction where there was definitely no one. A bear? Or a ghost or something? Aaaaah! I thought it had appeared , but it was an old man picking wild vegetables. He had lost his way and was shouting “Where is the hiking trail?” What ‘s more, he was a very cheerful and energetic person . I was really surprised. I seriously thought it was a bear or a ghost lol. We’re almost at the 8th station parking lot. This is definitely recommended for seniors and beginners, it’s easy to walk, has a lot of variety, and you won’t get bored. It may be a little less crowded if you access it from Kunimi Onsen. Now that we’ve returned safely, let’s go looking for a hot spring. Go down the Komagatake Line and head north on Prefectural Route 194. You will see Tazawako Kogen Onsenkyo. If you turn right along the way, you will find “Alpa Komakusa”, the starting point for buses during the closure period. “Free parking”, “Free shuttle bus to Tsuru-no-yu Onsen🚍️”, “Day-trip hot spring facility available♨️” It is the disaster prevention headquarters for two neighboring volcanoes. It opened on June 1, 2006 as the core facility of Tazawako Kogen. It is located on the site of the former Komakusa-so and has a wooden mountain hut-style building on an area of 11.3 hectares. There are walking paths, a mini park, and a parking lot that can accommodate 240 cars. The pleasantly fragrant cypress bath and the stone rock bath each offer a panoramic view of Lake Tazawa from their open-air baths, so you can enjoy the natural hot spring water while taking in the magnificent panoramic scenery. This is also a great hot spring, but we can’t just pass by Nyuto Onsen after coming this far, so we head further north. If we go left from here, we reach Tsuru- no-Yu, where a view spreads out before us as if we’ve traveled back in time to the Edo period . There are no TVs in the rooms with hearths at Tsuru-no-Yu Onsen (this is what they call digital detox). The famous open-air bath and the private baths along the river are also wonderful. On nights when the lights are faintly lit, it feels like a samurai is walking towards you. This time we’re heading to a place we’ve never been before. We pass by Kyukamura Nyuto Onsenkyo… The history of Taenoyu began in 1952, shortly after the war, as a simple hut. It is now probably the most impressive building in Nyuto Onsen, and has a stylish atmosphere that evokes the romance of the Taisho period, different from the rustic feel of Inn Tsuru-no-Yu, which has a good reputation through word of mouth. That’s because the concept of this inn is to create an inn where women who work in the city can heal their mind and body in a hot spring, and also to gently push them back when they feel like they can do their best. I was a little worried… but it’s okay , when I went to the bath, there were a lot of old men there lol. You can enjoy a variety of hot springs, such as an open -air bath with a great sense of openness overlooking the waterfall, and a glossy indoor bath that looks like a guest room . The tricky structure that connects the indoor bath to the semi-open-air bath, and the large trees and waterfalls that can be viewed from there were wonderful . It must be the best in the autumn foliage season. Of course, you can enjoy Akita’s local cuisine and mountain delicacies. It’s no wonder that it’s so highly rated . It seems that no matter which inn you go to in Nyuto Onsenkyo, you can’t go wrong. Are they competing with each other in the area? The inns here are always renovated and updated. I’m sure the owner has a strong attachment to them. In July, I’m going to go to Kuroyu Onsen, which I haven’t visited yet. 8329Channel How to Walk Japan
