五十公野公園 しばたあやめまつり 日本四大あやめ園 Ijimino Park Shibata Iris Festival One of Japan’s Four Great Iris Gardens
新潟県新発田市の五十公野（いじみの）公園のあやめ祭り。関東の花菖蒲園とは違って、山里の高低差のある棚田に植えられています。梅雨時の花と言えば花菖蒲ですね。
Iris Festival at Ijimino Park in Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture. Unlike the iris gardens in the Kanto region, these are planted on terraced rice fields in mountain villages. Irises are the flower of the rainy season.
