【温泉ホテル宿泊記】新規開業!富⼠⼭と駿河湾の絶景スモールラグジュアリーで客室露天風呂とサウナ、美食を愉しむ大人の休日 | 富士青藍

This time, I came to the Nishiizu area of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture with a friend. We headed to the hilltop, passing by Toda Fishing Port, where spider crabs and deep-sea fish are landed. It seems that a one-of-a-kind luxury hot spring inn has been born here. We were invited to stay and had heard about its charms in advance, so we were really looking forward to it. “Fuji Seiran” will pre-open on May 23, 2025. We were warmly welcomed, and our luggage was carried away efficiently. When the beautiful door opened, in front of us was a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji floating in Suruga Bay! It was so beautiful that we went out onto the terrace. This is wonderful. The area in front is called “Mihama Misaki”, and the topography of the area seems to embrace the bay like a bird’s neck. The calm cove, the deepest bay in Japan, and Mt. Fuji still capped with snow – it’s the best. This is the reception, and behind the door on the right there is a private dining area. We were told that we would check in in our room, so we went straight to our room. There are only five guest rooms. There are a row of independent rooms. The room we are staying in seems to be the one at the back. Pick- up service available from JR Mishima Station and Izu Hakone Railway Shuzenji Station (reservation required) Free parking Check-in 15:00 Check-out 12:00 The room has just been completed, and is new and beautiful in every detail. We excitedly proceed inside. When we entered the room, my friend and I couldn’t help but cheer. Here it is! This magnificent view from the room, a large terrace and an open-air bath. Just as we were getting excited, this was brought to us. A very luxurious welcome amenity, like an afternoon tea set. It seems to have been prepared by a delicious local Western and Japanese confectionery shop. Since it is a tea-producing area, the tea is of course sencha from Shizuoka Prefecture. We are very impressed by the hospitality and take a break with something sweet. Let’s do a room tour again. The room key has a warm wooden feel to it. I also really appreciate the neck strap. The 150 square meter room, “Souten,” can accommodate 4 people. A spacious entrance hall, calm colors and indirect lighting. The items decorating the room are calm colors with a luxurious atmosphere. The bathroom is in front, the toilet on the right, and the room on the left. The five rooms are basically the same, but the furniture is different. It is a very spacious and beautiful room. The ceiling is 6 meters high, the windows are huge, and the feeling of openness is overwhelming. The elegant interior stands out against the rough-finished oak floor. And from the large window, you can see this magnificent view. You will want to look at it forever, and the slightly hazy view is also good. It seems that you can go to the terrace from the living room and the bathroom. On the spacious terrace, there is a large open-air hot spring bath. The luxury of soaking in Toda Onsen while looking at Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay. The water is smooth and odorless with no peculiar taste. You can enjoy bathing in a completely private space at any time you like. There is also a relaxing daybed, making it a great space. This magnificent view that seems within reach, just for us. You can see the entire cove. I’m looking forward to sightseeing around here tomorrow. And on the terrace, there is this! A magnificent sauna with an original design! All five rooms are equipped with their own outdoor sauna. Inside, it is a spacious space that can seat three people. You can enjoy loyly and let the aroma drip. I’m looking forward to going in with my friends later. The entire space is made of glass, so you can enjoy the view while you relax. You can set the temperature yourself. Aroma oil is also provided. Looking back, it looks like this. Our own castle, very impressive, and I feel great. Returning to the room, a view of the whole from the window. The smart TV is 75 inches and also comes with a sound bar. Each room has a different interior, but they are all unified with furniture from KARE, Germany. The minibar and other equipment can be found here. Old wood from Hida is used. SONY Bluetooth speaker, floor heating switch. Air purifier, ashtray, various power cables. When you open the minibar door, it looks like this. It is finished in a clean, mature tone. Cups and glasses. The coffee maker is the type that grinds the beans for you. They use beans roasted at a roastery here in Toda. I can feel their commitment to local production and consumption. There is also a water server, so hot and cold water is readily available. There was also a Japanese tea set. It was all black and cool. Here is what’s inside the refrigerator. You can help yourself to everything. Shizuoka is famous for citrus fruits. They prepared juice made from whole “Jutaro mikan” mandarins. There was also a half-sized Cava. I’d like to drink it while soaking in the hot springs later. They also have local sake “Masayuki” Omachi Ginjo. The contents of the refrigerator are also actively incorporating local ingredients. :When I opened the freezer, there was also something here that I could help myself to… “Gentle Ice Cream” matcha and salt milk. It is made with ingredients from Shizuoka Prefecture and does not contain any flavorings, colorings, or stabilizers. I proceeded to the bed area. There were two mattresses made by the American luxury mattress brand “Sealy”. There are also various types of pillows available. Between the beds is a lighting panel with two USB ports. And opposite the beds is an area like this. The black Ryukyu tatami mats create a modern Japanese atmosphere. It’s perfect for lounging, and when two or more people are staying, futons are laid here. Between the living room and the Japanese space, there is art that makes use of natural wood. The living area and the bed area can be partitioned. At the very back, there is a walk-in closet. It is a spacious space where you can spread out your luggage, and various items are prepared. First, a sturdy, chic-designed haori coat. It is quilted and looks warm even in winter. There is a yoga mat and ironing board at your feet, and a steam iron on the shelf. There are various clothes on the shelf, and you can wear whatever you like. There is also a full-fledged sauna wear, amazing! It is a special sauna wear that is heat-resistant, absorbent, and stretchable. There is even a sauna hat made of Imabari towels. This is a smooth-feeling loungewear. It looks like this when spread out. It has separate hoods for the top and bottom. It is from the brand “MISUZU” developed by this inn. It is a great item that absorbs water quickly and is functional. There is also a pair of pajamas with elegant gold trim. The top and bottom are also separate, and the fabric is very high quality. This is also from “MISUZU”. You can feel their desire to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. There was even a colorful yukata, so cute. Let’s go to the bathroom at the back. Before that, there is a toilet in the hallway. It is high grade, with a hand wash, automatic opening and closing, and a panel. And the bathroom! It is an ideal space with a mature and clean look. There are two bowls with stools, which is very appreciated by us girls on a trip. There is a large mirror and a spacious space where you can spread out your personal belongings. The design is simple and high quality. A skin care set is provided in a large bottle. It seems that they have developed and developed their own original skin care products for “MISUZU”. It is made using human bone marrow stem cell conditioned culture medium, and comes with cleansing, face wash, lotion, and emulsion. I actually tried it after this, and it blended into my skin and felt very moisturizing. I ‘m happy to be able to try out their carefully selected skin care products. There are many bath amenities in the drawer. The amenities are in a nice indigo logo box. There was a complete range of amenities, including sheet masks. The hair dryer was a top-of-the-line Lepronizer 27D. We lined up one for each person. There was even a cute hair clip. The toothbrush was electric! I’ve stayed at many places, but this is the first time I’ve seen this. In the drawer below that was a fluffy bath mat. Looking back, there was a bathrobe. This was also made by “MISUZU”, and just like the pajamas, you can tell at a glance that it was high quality. I also tried this, and it was very absorbent, fluffy and thick, yet light, which was very good. There was a warmer and towels prepared next to it. The towels were also “MISUZU (made in Imabari)”, a thorough hospitality. Now, let’s go to the bath… The entrance to the outside is glass, giving a sense of openness, and the system bath is also high-grade equipment. The inside of the bath is unified with adult-like colors. It is luxurious with lighting, music, shoulder baths and waist baths. There is also a large TV, and three types of bath salts are prepared. There are three types of showers installed. Rain shower, hand shower, and even a waterfall bath! The shampoos are also “MISUZU”, so they are thorough. Gentle organic fragrances derived from natural ingredients, safe with seven free ingredients. And it leads to the open-air hot spring bath on the terrace. What do you think? A luxury hot spring inn with only five rooms. We were welcomed with high-quality facilities, a spectacular view, a healing hot spring and a sauna. The attention to detail and hospitality were felt everywhere, and it felt nice to be welcomed. Izu is attractive and has a wealth of delicious ingredients, so I’m looking forward to the food. I’d like to just relax here, drink and talk with friends, and refresh myself. I’ll toast to the vaguely floating Mt. Fuji from noon. A completely private space, time to do nothing. Soaking in the hot spring and drinking alcohol, my mind is completely loosened and relaxed. I also enjoyed the sauna, and the sauna wear and hat were very good. At this point, the staff guided me to a certain place. A magnificent terrace with a good view, facing in a different direction from the room. It is called the “Sunset Viewing Terrace” and was set up to admire the sunset. Can you see the beautifully colored sea and sky today? There is a large sofa, table, and fire pit. There seems to be an indoor space as well. You can see the sunset and sea from inside the room through the windows on one side. It is open until 9:30 pm, so you can spend your time freely. It’s also nice that there are many drinks and sweets available. There is a luxurious lineup of carefully selected alcohol and coffee. A rare barley and rice shochu called “Mameshu” made from Izu ingredients that is only available in this Izu area. There is also the world’s first Yoshino cedar barrel aged whiskey “Kamiiki”, local sake “Garyubai” and “Kurofune Matthew”. You can take them back to your room and enjoy them at your leisure. They are so pampering. In the cellar, there were wines from several wineries in Yamanashi. The coffee is from Toda roasters and is brewed using a water drip method. There are also nuts and baked goods, and it was a great space. You can feel the desire to enjoy local products in both coffee and alcohol. I ‘m going to try something that can only be enjoyed here. Now, as the sunset is approaching, I head to the sunset viewing terrace. I’m a little worried about the weather, but can I see the sunset? It’s peeking through the clouds! The surroundings are also a faint red. I wonder if it will dye a little more? I wait for the sunset. It’s getting a nice color, so I’ll have a drink. As a result, we were able to see such a beautiful view. The clouds gave it a very gentle color. The gradation of the colors of the sky and the sea changed every moment. The sound of the wind, the flickering of the flames, and delicious wine. It was perfect from inside the room. We enjoyed the beautiful coloring of the entire sky. Now, it was time for dinner, which we were looking forward to. We headed to the reception, which was elegantly lit up. When we arrived at the reception, the staff warmly welcomed us. Each of the five rooms had its own private dining room. It seems that we were in this room. There was a wide, large window with a view of Mt. Fuji. A special time began with a beautiful welcoming plate. Now, what shall we drink? There is a wide selection of wines. There are also special wines that you will want to open on anniversaries. Beer, shochu, plum wine, whiskey. There is a selection of sake from all over the country. My eyes are glued to the “Special Selection” menu, and I want to try a drink from there. I’m excited, thinking I might try the Juyondai . The sky and sea visible from the window are romantic colors. Here is tonight’s menu: original creative dishes based on Japanese cuisine. And so the first dish arrives: chawanmushi with white asparagus puree. The melting texture brings a smile to my face. The ingredients, from the sea urchin and asparagus to the eggs, are all superb. And so I… The first drink we chose was of course a craft beer. We chose a craft beer called Hansharo Beer “Soun”. It had a fruity citrus flavor and a refreshing aftertaste, and was very delicious. Then came the appetizers, as beautiful as a painting. Plump steamed abalone with liver sauce, Izunokuni shiitake mushrooms topped with minced fish and grilled, deep-fried foie gras and bamboo shoots, and jade tofu. We also had red shrimp caught in Suruga Bay and broad beans from Shuzenji. We ate it with vinegared egg yolk and caviar. Next came the soup. Opening the lid, the aroma of crab stock rises. Once again, I am reminded of how wonderful Japanese food is. Soaking in clear, highly fragrant stock, beneath the myoga ginger and zucchini flowers, is… scallop root wrapped in tilefish caught in Suruga Bay. This is also packed with umami, making me feel happy. Next is sashimi. Garnished with wasabi from Toi and salt from Toda. Bluefin tuna, golden-eyed snapper, and kue. The fish caught in Suruga Bay and the wasabi from Izu are all delicious, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy them if you visit this place. I praise it every time I eat it, it’s really sweet and delicious. The smooth flavor is so good I’m thinking about moving here. Next came a surprising dish. Ise lobster caught right here in Tako, Nishiizu. The local vegetables that came with it were rich in color and flavor and were delicious. The lobster’s unique, elegant, rich flavor and aroma melted into the mouth, making it a luxurious dish. Here I ordered a top brand of premium sake, “Juyondai”. This is a luxurious skewer made from only the “middle part” of the mash of Banshu Yamada Nishiki, the king of sake rice. It goes down smoothly and spreads a soft sweetness and umami. It is as delicious as you would expect, and is full of elegance. The meat menu came. Wagyu fillet steak here from Shizuoka, with black truffle sauce. The meat is “Shizuoka Sodachi”, a high-quality wagyu beef that is shipped in limited numbers and is not distributed outside the prefecture. The fillet at the top of the prefecture, known as Chateaubriand, is used. It is so soft and fine-grained, and the black truffle sauce is exquisite. It was so delicious that I felt like I wanted to eat it even though I was full. At this point, freshly cooked rice in a clay pot was served. It was “sakihokore” from Akita Prefecture. It was also accompanied by pickled first bonito caught at Omae Cape. And then, soup made from the bones of the first bonito was prepared. First, the white rice was served as it was, and then in a pickled rice bowl. We then poured dashi over the rice to make dashi chazuke… the aroma and steam were both delicious. It was the perfect dish to finish off the meal, and it led to an elegant aftertaste of this wonderful meal. The last dish was Shizuoka fruit and pistachio ice cream, and shiratama rice dumplings wrapped in white bean paste espuma and ginger ale. Delicious ingredients from Shizuoka were used generously until the very end, and the careful cooking and surprising menu were very satisfying. It was a truly wonderful meal, and I wanted to talk about it more. My friend and I had our eyes wide open and said “It’s delicious!” so many times. Filled with joy, we returned to our room. We were going to enjoy the hot spring in our room to the fullest. On our way back to our room, we stopped by the sunset terrace. It was dimly lit up, and the fire pit was atmospheric. It would be nice to enjoy a drink here after the meal. When we returned to our room, we found this! They also let me know the time of sunrise tomorrow. I think I’ll get up. I’m looking forward to sightseeing in the area tomorrow. Good night . Good morning. I woke up at 4:30am with the sunrise and went out to the terrace. There were a lot of clouds and I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji, but I spent some time relaxing in a foot bath. The special colors that can only be seen at this time of day, the birds’ voices, and the sound of the hot spring flowing. I went back to bed and rolled around. The sky was turning blue, so I opened the blinds. The sea looked blue today! It was a completely different impression from yesterday. Now, I got ready for the morning and went to breakfast in the refreshing air. The staff welcomed me very cheerfully this morning. I proceeded to our private room, just like yesterday. This morning’s view was great. We chose from four types of morning juice, and after a while the food was brought out one after another. The small dishes lined up on a single board were very beautiful. The grilled fish was also grilled over binchotan charcoal on a ceramic stove. The large table was filled with many beautiful dishes and delicious looking dishes. This morning, the rice was freshly cooked in time for the early hours. The aroma of the rice made me even more hungry. The steam was irresistible. The miso soup contained sweet red shrimp. I couldn’t resist it, and the dried horse mackerel was the thickest and most impressive I’ve ever seen. Kannami eggplant, a local ingredient with a strong sweetness and a melt-in-the-mouth texture, was topped with crab meat sauce. We also had bluefin tuna in the morning, and the trout roe, grated yam, and wasabi were all perfect. The raw vegetables were also rich in color and flavor. And the many small dishes were all wonderful. Fuji sweet ganmo. A juicy sweetness that can only be found here. A spicy fermented sanshozuke. The delicate yuba skin is made from the famous waters of Shuzenji. It’s so tasty that it’s a shame to take just one bite. But because it’s bite-sized, you can enjoy so many different things. It’s such a joy to have such a delicious menu lined up, made with carefully selected ingredients and prepared with great care. Finally, we have a good dessert. It’s such a happy morning! Thank you for the meal. We returned to the room and took another bath. Mt. Fuji was hidden, but the color of the sea was beautiful. The sunset viewing terrace was also lush. We will relax for a while. After that, we had the luxury of lounging to our heart’s content, and it was time to leave, although we were sad. From now on, we will visit the surrounding sights, eat and shop! We packed our bags and reluctantly left the room. The luxury of spending time doing nothing, surrounded by only beautiful things. It was a space that made us not want to return to reality. This view will remain in our memory forever. We would like to stay here again in another season. Thank you for your attentive and thorough hospitality. A five-room inn with a view of Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay. I was able to relax and unwind in the scenery where the sky and the sea were one. It was a rich time. I felt refreshed both in body and mind, and I think I can do my best again tomorrow. Now that I’ve come all the way to this beautiful area, I’d like to stop by various places in the area. Everything is just a short distance from the inn, so I first went to the tip of Mihama Cape . I parked my car and walked along a path lined with trees. I was a little worried if I was really here, but there I was. “Morokuchi Shrine” is enshrined at the tip of Mihama Cape. Looking back, the contrast between the blue sea and the red torii gate is beautiful. I kept going as if drawn in. It’s beautiful. It seems that Moroguchi Shrine is deeply worshiped as the guardian deity of sailors and fishermen. If you look closely, you can see “Fuji Seiran” where I was just now. It is also said to be the “entrance to all kinds of happiness.” You can see Mt. Fuji from here, so it’s a really pleasant place. It’s peaceful, quiet, and the water is extremely clear. Some people were taking a nap or sunbathing. It was a very comfortable place surrounded by the sea, sky and Mt. Fuji. I drove my car with the torii gate I had just passed under my eyes. I was getting hungry, so I decided to have lunch. I arrived at Toda Fishing Port. Right in front of the port, on the right, I saw a big crab sign! I decided to have lunch at “Ichi Shokudo”. It is a charming restaurant that serves fresh local seafood. The specialty of Toda Fishing Port is this! It is one of the largest “spider crabs” in the world. It is huge! It is very impressive! It seems that you can eat this. I decided to eat it while looking at the sea on the second floor. I am looking forward to the seafood of Suruga Bay, the deepest bay in Japan. There seem to be various menus that change daily. They all look delicious. And there was a spider crab on the regular menu! It seems that you can eat a whole spider crab! You can also enjoy a sashimi platter or a set meal with a little bit of everything. There is a wide variety of set meals such as sashimi set meals and fried set meals. Since a lot of deep sea fish are caught, there are also “Torobocchi (Mexicali)”. Let’s order a variety of things! First, delicious whole grunt sashimi. The white meat is in season from early summer to summer. It has an elegant flavor and sweetness, and is extremely fresh, so it is crunchy. We have a full lineup! We have fries, seafood bowls, tempura bowls, and even grilled turban shells. The seafood bowl is topped with spider crab meat and roe. It is high in protein and has a delicate flavor. The tempura bowl is delicious with many large crab legs on top. It is very filling. The fried Torobocchi is crispy and fluffy on the inside, so you can’t stop eating it. The turban shell has a good texture and is delicious even down to the liver. We ate a full stomach of Toda’s seafood. Everything was fresh and delicious, and we were very satisfied. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I wanted to see it from a slightly higher place, so I drove to the general meeting through the Midori Tunnel. Here it is! From “Deai Cape,” you can see Mt. Fuji, Suruga Bay, Mihama Cape, and Toda Port. It was a little windy that day, and the trees were swaying energetically. I see, “the beak of Izu” is a perfect expression. I’m glad I can see the terrain so well! You can see the beauty of Mihama Cape. You can also see the cove of Toda Port and Moroguchi Shrine that we visited earlier. In this cove, “moored boat fishing” is practiced, where you travel by ferry to a fixed boat and enjoy fishing on the boat. Mt. Fuji is hidden all day today, but this is also one of the spots where you can see it beautifully. Finally, I think I’ll stop by the roadside station to buy some souvenirs to take home. I arrived at “Roadside Station Kurura Toda.” In the local dialect, “Kurura” means “Come.” It’s a beautiful and stylish roadside station. Illustrations of deep-sea fish can be seen here and there. In addition to the shop and the historical and cultural information exhibition room, there is a free-flowing hot spring from Toda Onsen, and even an open-air bath and foot bath. Deep-sea fish and spider crabs are everywhere, which is cute. At the shop, you can buy Toda roasted coffee, spider crabs, and fatty tuna. Fresh wasabi, deep-sea fish goods, and sweets made with Izu specialties. I tried the salt yesterday and it was delicious, and I’m thinking of buying some seasoning for rice. There is a snack corner, and the menu is full of unique items, so I’m very interested! I wonder if I should try a few? Spider crab miso soup, deep-fried fatty tuna, deep-sea fish hot dogs. Fatty tuna rice bowls, wasabi rice bowls, drinks made with Toda tachibana, and more. So, let’s eat! I’m happy to encounter so many local specialties. I love roadside stations. About three hours from the city center. In this tranquil port town, you can enjoy the spectacular view of the wisteria and Suruga Bay, try the local specialties, and relax in the hot springs. How about a weekend trip like that? I was completely refreshed and recharged. I’m going to take a leisurely drive home. Thank you for reading to the end! Where should I go next? That’s all from Lili!

  7. Nice video. The hotel looks high end and the overall quality is worth the price, but interior design is a bit of a hodgepodge
