Good morning! This is bien. I travel 2-3 times a month. This time, I’m going on a road trip to the north side of Aso in Kumamoto Prefecture. It’s a really nice morning. Yesterday, I visited the south side of Aso, and today, I’m going to visit the north side of Aso. It’s a hideaway. It’s not a hotel, it’s a real hideaway . It’s spacious and quiet, which is nice. It might be a shame to only stay one night. The road was a bit rough, but it was in a very quiet place and I was able to sleep soundly, so I recommend it. There are tourist spots on the north side of Aso and Oguni Town, I think? After sightseeing in the surrounding area , we will return towards Aso City and stay at a hotel in Kumamoto City for the night. Despite the unfortunate weather, there is a beautiful rural landscape. The first place we arrive at today is Torupa’s Yuura Parking. Aso National Park, Daikanbo Here and here are both view spots! The Aso Caldera, formed by a huge eruption, is called a caldera. Yesterday too, we were able to drive up to the crater, but just as we were about to start sightseeing, the gas concentration suddenly rose and they told us to evacuate, so we only got to sightsee for about a minute. Is there a road below Daikanmine in Aso Kuju National Park ? There are many things to see. Aso is really different, it’s kind of unique, isn’t it? It’s 7am now and there are no people around, so I felt like I was in another world. Thank you. Daikanmine Next, I’m going to go about 16km north from here to an area called Oguni-cho. I’m going to go to that famous reservation-only waterfall. You make a reservation in advance and there is a waterfall that is like a tourist spot. I entered Minamioguni-cho and went another 9km to Oguni-cho. Driving is super easy as you just go straight on Route 222. The road was empty and I arrived earlier than I thought, so I came to Oguni Roadside Station. I heard it opens from 8:30am, so I’ll take a look. I still have some time before visiting the waterfall, so I’ll have breakfast here . It’s good that it opens from 8:30am! There were some things that looked delicious, so I bought them. I wonder if it’s Oguni Station at the time? Good. Isn’t it breakfast ? Local chicken rice. The ultimate melon bread. This looked delicious, so I bought it. You can get right next to the river, it’s a sight you don’t see very often, this is amazing too, it’s so beautiful , it feels like it’s turning into a waterfall from the other side . Nabegataki waterfall we saw earlier is so famous that everyone goes over there, but this one is pretty amazing too. The big waterfall in Shimoshiro is so big it doesn’t fit in the camera. Lunch gourmet time. We arrived at the lunch restaurant. It looks like there’s an entrance along the river . The entrance is at the back here. It’s along the river . Wow , it’s in a great location. We came here as soon as it opened. The interior is spacious and stylish, but the seat we were looking for is here. It’s really nice, and what ‘s more , it has a roof, so even if it rains, you can sit by the river. Which is better? Is this one better? Shall we eat it while looking at the river view ?
