Good morning! It’s the morning of the third day of my trip to Kochi. I got on a bus in the morning and headed to today’s destination . We’ve arrived! We’ve arrived at Cape Muroto! Cape Muroto is located in the southeastern part of Kochi Prefecture and is a cape that juts out into the Pacific Ocean in a beautiful inverted triangle shape . There are many strange rocks gathered on Cape Muroto , which form a unique landscape. It’s really amazing how many rocks there are… These are made up of layers of rock that have risen from the ocean floor and rocks that have cooled and solidified underground from magma from undersea volcanoes. But what an amazing shape… I wonder if they became vertical during the uplift process…? The area around Muroto, including Cape Muroto, is “Muroto Geopark” and is certified as one of the “World Geoparks” recognized by UNESCO. There are only 10 “World Geoparks” in Japan , including Muroto, so it’s a very precious area. To be honest, it’s difficult to access and not a place you can easily come to, but it was a wonderful place that was worth the time to visit ! Now, when we returned to Muroto, it was already lunchtime, so let’s have lunch! We came to “Ryotei Kagetsu” and we should eat Muroto’s specialty Kinmedai bowl! In addition to Kinmedai, it is a luxurious bowl with sashimi such as yellowtail! Kinmedai is really delicious… You can also make it into sea bream dashi ochazuke, which is the best! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal! We said goodbye to Muroto, which was fun, and headed back to Kochi. We took the same bus and train as on the way there to Kochi. We arrived in Kochi! A little break… Now, let’s head to check in at our accommodation for today. We will be staying at “South Breeze Hotel Kochi Kaigetsu” tonight . After putting our luggage down and feeling light, we went outside again! There is still time before dinner, and there seems to be a viewing spot nearby, so let’s head there a bit. It seems that it is easy to see beautifully from the parking lot on the side of the mountain. Oh, is it here? Wow, what a view! You can see the whole of Kochi city. The weather is good, so it looks very beautiful. I was right to climb… I came here for dinner! I have a friend from college in Kochi, so I went for a drink with him! It was a fun dinner where we enjoyed the specialties of Kochi and talked about our memories ! This concludes the third day of our trip to Kochi.
