加賀温泉郷 Kaga hot-spring village
Three hot spring resorts and castle towns, fishing ports, Kaga hot-spring village consisting of six areas including post town.

山代温泉 Yamashiro Onsen
Yamashiro Onsen has a history of about 1,300 years, and even today
the townscape known as “Yunogawa” remains, lined with hot spring inns
and shops, centered around a public bathhouse known as “Soyu.”

There are two public bathhouse “public baths(Soyu)” and
“old public bath(Ko-Soyu)” in Yamashiro Onsen

“Soyu”, the public bathhouse. The red tiled and planked exterior walls
blend in seamlessly with the scenery of the historic hot spring town.

“Ko-Soyu”, the “old public bath”.
The thatched roof and second-floor windows create an impressive exterior.

The interior features stained glass, which was cutting edge at the time,
walls with lacquer, and tiles made of Kutani ware.

温泉寺 Onsen Temple
This temple was established to protect the hot springs by Gyoki,
who discovered Yamashiro Onsen about 1,300 years ago.

服部神社 Hattori Shrine
Hattori Shrine, adjacent to Onsenji Temple, is built at the top of 100 stone steps.
