Do you know roadside stations in Japan?
It’s is a government-designated rest area found along roads and highways in Japan.
However it’s now not just rest area.
You could enjoy a whole day with your family.

In this video, I’m introducing two roadside stations located in Gifu prefecture. Basically they’re located in county side that are intended to promote local tourism and trade.

I hope you enjoy roadside station.

  1. This is a lovely vlog. I like the season centric points you have shared from your home town. I'll definitely check the road side stations on my next trip to Japan. In India, we have a similar concept in my state where farmers sell their produce directly and have more produce on weekends, called as raitu bazaar (farmer market) but they are not present on highways , stations though.

I feel deeply enriched learning about ingredients, foods loved by locals unique to an area. Thank you for sharing about boiled bee larvae, koshiabura ..if possible do share how you cook with them too 🙂
