I walked around Utazu in Kagawa Prefecture. The area where many old Japanese townhouses and old buildings with a sense of history remain is called “Komachi,” and it’s a compact area that’s easy to walk around.

香川県の宇多津を歩きました。
古い日本家屋の町家や、歴史を感じる古い建物が多く残っているエリアは「古街（こまち）」と言われ、コンパクトなエリアで歩きやすかったです。

    53:31 巨石 At the village of my old family home in the mountains we have a big rock at the local shrine, too. The rock was in a local river, people used to use the river water for everything. and play in it. In the old days people live around the river also do laundry in the river. And that big rock in the middle of the river is part of the shrine which people will also pray to it.
    Later the river was covered to build a road. So the river is no longer reachable. And they moved that rock from the river to put it in a pond in the shrine.
