【大雨の車中泊】蒸し暑い!家庭用エアコン15時間を使用し、安くて新鮮で美味しい新潟の海の幸を求めキャンピングカー旅へ!
Good evening everyone! Where are you heading to today? ? I’m heading to Niigata to go to Teradomari, a fish market in Niigata Prefecture. If you want to go somewhere to eat fish, as far as I know, the closest places are Teradomari and Nakaminato… I often go to Ibaraki, so this time I went to Niigata. Teradomari is the main store of Kakugami Gyorui, right? There’s also a store in Maebashi, Gunma. Teradomari’s Kakugami Gyorui and Maebashi’s Kakugami Gyorui are different, and the atmosphere of the market in Teradomari itself is nice. It’s forecast to rain tomorrow, so I’ll go somewhere appropriate after that, and Teradomari will be the main destination. This time, I’m going to take a relaxing trip in the car. I thought it would be good to reconsider how I spend my time in the car, not just the tourist spots. If you have any other recommended seafood markets, please let me know in the comments section♪ It’s about 200km to Teradomari, but today I’m going to go just before that and sleep in the car. I got off at Nakanoshima Mitsuke IC and headed to the roadside station. I’m going to sleep at the roadside station today and go to Teradomari tomorrow morning, but Teradomari is quite close from here. I remember going to Patio Niigata, a nostalgic roadside station I visited in my previous car, CARBBY . I remember going to Niigata a lot in my previous car. I arrived at the roadside station. I prepared a bunk bed before leaving today, so all I have to do is brush my teeth and go to sleep! I brought some new Workman clothes this time! I’ll start by introducing the clothes I’m wearing now! Workman kids’ pants, 140cm. The waist is elastic, so they’re easy to wear! Papa’s favorite all-purpose pants! They’re comfortable and feel good on the skin, so I bought three pairs! They come in two types, wool and cotton, but Papa recommends the wool one I’m wearing now! They’re easy to use pants that are somewhere between casual and formal! They ‘re reasonably priced at 1,500 yen, so if you’re interested, please check them out! It’s hard to go to the toilet outside at night, so having a toilet inside the car is very helpful. I feel that U-chan has grown up. Recently, it’s been a pain to unfold the bed, so I often slept on the bottom, but it’s really narrow and tight, so I’ve reconsidered it. After all, a spacious bunk bed is the best. We’re going to sleep too! Good night. U-chan was the first to wake up the next morning . It was cold at night, but in the morning the sun was shining on the bunk and it was hot…It was 14 degrees outside and the forecast said it would rain, but for some reason it’s nice weather now. It’s cool outside, so just ventilating with Max Fan cooled the inside of the car. I went to the roadside station to do some shopping . I bought some Workman kids sneakers. They’re light and have a Velcro fastening, so they’re easy to put on and take off. It’s been so long since I remember what the roadside station was like… Inside the building there was a walking history map of the area around the roadside station. It looks like it would be fun to walk around the area. There were a lot of local vegetables and other things, so my family also bought some things to use for dinner tonight. Back in the car, it’s time for breakfast. Mama bought bread at the roadside station. U-chan was so hungry that he ate first, so he’s going to eat the cookies he bought at the roadside station now. After a quick breakfast, we’ll head to Teradomari! Introducing a new item! H&G factory’s original console box has arrived! I had it painted black, the same color as our table! It’s covered in leather, and the texture is nice! It’s only attached with Velcro, so it’s easy to install and remove! It’s also firmly fixed. There are two drink holders in the front, and there is a place to put your smartphone next to it. The console lid also stays firmly in place, and the box side has a lot of space, so you can put a lot of things in it. The storage area is deep and has a large capacity! It’s well-made, so it’s stable to use. The color is black, so it goes well with the seat cover! The driver’s seat had a strong truck feel, but this console seat cover, instrument panel, and speaker have given it a makeover! The speakers require some modification, so I did it myself. I’ve also posted photos on Instagram! Instagram account is in the description section! H&G factory’s website is also posted in the description section! Heading to “Teradomari Fish Market Street”! Rain is forecast from this morning. “Roadside Station Patio Niigata” had a lot of local vegetables. I wonder if it’s the location of the diorama I saw at the roadside station earlier? Next week (6/7-6/8) there will be a kite fight. It looks interesting so I wanted to see it! Teradomari, where I’m heading now, is only a 15-minute drive from here, so it’s not far! The scenery along the way is so beautiful! The scenery along the way is so beautiful! When I come to Niigata, I have a strong impression of rice fields and rice. It’s also nice to travel while driving leisurely. It’s nice that it’s different from Okinawa, where I went on a trip the other day. We ‘re almost at Teradomari, but we’re guided to a different back road than usual… When we left the back road, the Teradomari parking lot was already in front of us! It seems to be emptier than usual today! We safely parked and headed to Teradomari Market for the first time in about a year! Maybe it’s because of the bad weather, or maybe it’s because it’s morning, but it seems to be less crowded than usual! Kakugami Gyoryu Teradomari Main Branch is popular, so there are a lot of people. I’ll look for tonight’s ingredients at Teradomari Market. I think I’ve bought the blue “Shiosai Soft” before… This area is famous for crab, so there are a lot of crabs. I bought clams and clams here (one bag: 1,000 yen) and bought sashimi at Kakugami Gyoryu (horse mackerel sashimi: 980 yen, bluefin tuna sashimi: 660 yen). I’ve successfully purchased tonight’s ingredients! Bluefin tuna sashimi was cheap at 660 yen! I’ll go back to the car and put the seafood I bought in the refrigerator, then go out to eat “Banya soup”. It’s helpful to have a refrigerator at times like this! It doesn’t have the capacity of a home refrigerator, so I think about it when I put it in, and store it like a puzzle. Now that I’ve finished storing it in the refrigerator, I’ll go out to eat banya soup! First, we bought two “Banya Soup” (300 yen each) . It contains crab, shrimp, and various fish broths. 300 yen for this is cheap! U-chan also seemed to enjoy the Banya Soup! We bought salt-grilled blackthroat seaperch and chicken skin. (Blackthroat seaperch: 1,400 yen, chicken skin: 500 yen) Mama bought salted and green onion soft serve. We decided to eat what we bought here in the car! We’ve just returned to the camper van. The ice cream has almost melted. lol By the way, papa and U-chan like chicken skin lol It started to get crowded at lunchtime, so we couldn’t find a seat and moved to the camper van. The salt-grilled blackthroat seaperch looked delicious, so we… It’s so good! It’s expensive, but it’s delicious! (1,400 yen…) When you go to a market or shop along the sea, you’ll definitely see “blue” desserts for sale. lol We leave Teradomari. It was starting to get quite crowded at this time. Maybe the weather isn’t raining and they have some left? It seems to be raining in Gunma right now, so it might have rained if I had gone to Saitama or somewhere else. I don’t have any plans after this. Lol But, since I’ve come all this way, I’ll go to the seaside before it rains. SnowPeak HEADQUARTERS is nearby, so if I have time, I might go there? We have a lot of SnowPeak camping gear, especially around the table, and it’s good that it’s simple and compact! Hmm? Are they building a bridge a little north of Teradomari? They’re also building something on the other side of the bridge. I’ve passed by it a few times, but I didn’t notice it. Usually when I come here, the weather is bad and the Sea of Japan is rough, but today the Sea of Japan is calm. Hmm? What is this? What kind of statue is this? Can I enter here? I arrived at the Sea of Japan Sunset Station. I’ve driven around here before, but I never noticed it. Echigo Nanaura Kannon Bodhisattva mama and U-chan seem to be cold. There’s also a sea breeze, so it’s cold. (The temperature is about 15-18℃) The Kannon statue is over 5m tall, so it’s quite large. The beach is sandy. It seems like you can get down from somewhere. Even if it’s cloudy and the sun is shining, the sea here is beautiful! The Kannon statue alone is 5.2m high + the pedestal is 2.8m high, totaling 8m. Since we’ve come all this way, we’ll go to SnowPeak HEADQUARTERS! The weather is holding up, but it looks like it’s about to rain. There are a few cafes around here. It would be fun to stop by a place like this next time! I’ve been driving downhill since earlier, so I’ve been in second gear. If I keep braking, the brakes will fade and become less effective, so I’m being careful. When I went to Nagasaki in Kyushu before, the brakes faded and I had a hard time. The rain is getting stronger little by little. Even after getting off the highway, the rain just keeps getting stronger. I passed through a place surrounded by trees… and the narrow roads that make me even more anxious continue… I arrived at SnowPeak HEADQUARTERS. SnowPeak HEADQUARTERS has a campsite, store, spa, and museum. On the way, the road was like “Is this okay?” but now that I’ve come this far, the road has widened. The facilities, including the campsite, are so large that I can’t find the entrance. Lol I finally found the entrance. It’s really wide!! It’s raining a lot, but I’m surprised there are so many campers! Since I’m so close, I’m going to HEADQUARTERS for the first time! (This time, I’m not going to camp, but to visit the store and see the place) I parked, so I want to go, but the rain is so strong that I’m waiting for it to stop. Lol I arrived at the store safely! It seems that the campsite reception and the store are in the same place. The trailer I saw at the SnowPeak exhibition in Sakuragicho a year ago was also on display here. I miss it. The museum was closed… I went to SnowPeak HEADQUARTERS. The campsite was super high-quality and looked great! I skipped it this time because it was raining, but I’d like to come again another day! (Actually, I booked the campsite after I got home. Lol) There was a site beyond this facility, and in front of it was a field and a vast campsite. There was also a hot spring right in front of the campsite… There were separate shower rooms for men and women in the store I just went to. (I checked the website and it was available 24 hours a day!) By the way, there was also a shower room near the designated site! After this, I headed to a hot spring facility called “Bijin no Yu”. This hot spring facility was a private hot spring (family bath) and I couldn’t open the website, but I called and was able to make a reservation. I’m sure it’s usually crowded and difficult to make a reservation on the day, but today, perhaps because of the weather, I was able to make a reservation! I was able to make a reservation without any problems, so I drove about 11km from here to the private hot spring of Bijin-no-Yu! The rain got stronger after I came to the Sanjo side from the seaside. Rain was forecast from the day before today, so I knew it from the beginning and it was a relaxing trip where I hardly left the camper. It’s so relaxing that it feels like time is passing slowly. This kind of trip in a camper is also good! When I was in my previous car, Snorlax, I was able to take the local roads from Yamagata to Niigata, and I remember that the road was also very impressive. I’ve been driving a camper for about 7 years. I still get excited when I go on a road I’ve never driven before. I arrived at Bijin-no-Yu safely. The facility is bigger than I thought! It’s raining, so I dashed! I made a reservation for the family bath from 4:30, but they said it’s okay to come early, so I’m going now! The building is spacious and beautiful. The bath is bigger than I thought! The dressing room is spacious, and there are two showers in the bathroom, so you can relax for an hour! Rest time after the bath. It ‘s been a while since I’ve had a family bath! The facility was clean, so it must have been renovated. The bath fee + family bath (1,000 yen/1 hour) was only 2,900 yen, so it was cheap and clean, so I was very satisfied! It happened to be empty today, so I’m going to head somewhere where I can sleep in my car. On the way, I discovered a mysterious shopping street! This Kamo shopping street is made up of eight shopping streets, and each shopping street has a different arcade. By the way, the shopping street is about 1.3 km long. Arrived at Tagami Roadside Station! When I arrived, the first thing I did was prepare a table. The table matches the console box, and the cup holders are large so you can put pretty much anything on it. The refrigerator is full today. I’m going to start making dinner! I’m going to make a salad with the vegetables I bought at the roadside station. U-chan, the “ham killer,” looks like he’ll eat it all, so I’ll cut the ham in half. The salad hidden in the ham is complete. Done! U-chan just arranged it, right? But would papa still say he made it? Just arranged it? Mama is preparing the second dish, stir-fry. Whenever I see this vegetable (Swiss chard) at a roadside station, I can’t help but buy it because of its cute color. Before using the fire, I’ll prepare for ventilation. Non-stick aluminum foil reduces the amount of washing up, and it’s very convenient when cooking in the car. I’m going to season this stir-fry with yuzu pepper that I bought at the roadside station. Add yuzu pepper! I need to think a little before adding it, otherwise it will be spicy. The second dish, pork stir-fried with yuzu pepper, is complete! The third dish is steamed clams and clams in sake. It’s too much to eat everything, so I’ll just eat as much as I want to eat. I’ll eat the sesame tofu as cold tofu. The clams have opened up nicely. Today’s menu is stir-fried pork with yuzu pepper, sashimi, salad, steamed clams and clams in sake, and sesame tofu. The temperature inside the car is 26.3℃ and the humidity is 54%, so it’s humid inside the car, so I’m going to turn on the air conditioner. I’ll go with the usual pattern of 24℃ and fan speed 1. The sub-battery is at 98%, so it should be fine. Cheers! The sesame tofu is more refreshing and delicious than I thought! The vegetables and fish are also delicious! Today’s comment theme! What comes to your mind when you think of “Niigata?” For mama, it’s… sake and rice. For U-chan, it’s the sea, and when you think of Niigata, it’s seafood, and for some people, it’s crab? We don’t eat much crab, so it’s not that good, but Teradomari, where we went today, is an image of Niigata. I’m sure some of the people who comment say that there are fireworks in Nagaoka? I’m sure there are many more… Please tell us what “Niigata” comes to your mind♪ After dinner, it’s time to watch videos in the car. It’s raining quite a bit outside. It’s not a problem inside the car even if it’s raining, so I’m going to relax. ~Watching my favorite horror videos~ I watched videos while having a lantern party. It’s dark and sleepy with just the lanterns! I placed three lanterns, but… it’s brighter than I thought and the atmosphere is nice. Mama seems to fall asleep in this darkness, so I’ll turn on the lights. Video watching time is over, so I’m going to go to bed soon. U-chan transfer project started. I was able to complete my mission safely! It’s still muggy and humid, so I’m going to sleep with the air conditioner on. The battery is at 85%. This is the first time I’ve used the air conditioner for a long time since I switched to lithium. It’s not hot outside, so I wonder if it won’t go down that much? I’ll sleep with the air conditioner on like this! Good night~ Good morning the next morning. The room temperature is cool at 21.2℃, but the humidity is quite high at 76%, even with the air conditioner on. The sub-battery has a lot of charge left at 78%. I don’t have any plans for today, so I’ll buy some food at the roadside station and eat it before heading home. Workman outfits for the family U-chan’s shirt didn’t have a kids’ size, so I bought a women’s S and tried it on! For U-chan, who is 131cm tall, it’s just right as a jacket. Mama has the same setup as U-chan. She is 155cm tall and wears a M size. It’s comfortable and can be worn casually, so I like it. Papa is wearing a different color of the clothes mama was wearing. He is just over 180cm tall and wears a LL size. For some men, the pants might be ankle-length? It was a family-linked outfit♪ Now that I think about it, mama was wearing all Workman! Her sandals were also Workman. I’ll buy some food at the roadside station. There are lots of delicious looking side dishes and rice! I’m going to buy a bento for breakfast and lunch. I’ll warm up the bento I bought at the roadside station in the microwave. U-chan’s loco moco rice bowl is also warmed up! I’ll boil some water. Hot coffee is the best in the morning. I’m on a diet (?), so I was curious. Black rice, red bean and brown rice rice balls. Papa snatches U-chan’s favorite sweet omelette. Lol I’m surprised that Papa eats it in one bite. This is also a chiffon cake sold at the roadside station. Mama’s is chocolate, Papa’s is honey apple. U-chan seems to be full, but I bought chocolate banana flavor for U-chan. I’ll eat it with my coffee after the meal. (What is a diet…?) I’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the office. It looks like it’s raining on and off outside. Today we set off in the uncertain weather again. Today we’re just going home, so we’ll drive slowly and leisurely for about 200km. This time, we went on a rainy car camping trip before the rainy season. When it rains, the humidity inside the camper is really high, but it’s different if you have a home air conditioner! It’s completely different, the humidity disappears and you can stay comfortable. It’s really great to be able to reduce the humidity inside the car. After this rainy season is over, it will soon be summer, so when summer comes, we will make full use of the home air conditioner. This time, I used the home air conditioner for the first time since I changed it to a lithium 400Ah last year, and it lasted well. With the lead battery I had been using, I was worried about whether the capacity would last if I used the air conditioner for about 15 hours. By the way, this time, I used the air conditioner for 15 hours and also used the refrigerator and other equipment, and there was more than 70% remaining! When summer really begins, I will also load a large-capacity portable power source and use it for more powerful power specifications. This time, I made a video with the theme of the reality of a rainy camper trip. This time, I didn’t focus on sightseeing, but I enjoyed the trip by eating local foods in the car. I forget that a camper trip can be like this. When you spend your days busy, you are pressed for time and you tend to forget such things. It was a trip that once again made me feel the goodness of a camper van. If you enjoyed this video, I would be grateful if you could subscribe to the channel and press the like button! Thank you for watching until the end. I look forward to the next video.
