「Japan 1minute Travel」静岡 御前崎（SHIZUOKA Omaezaki）夜明け前の空が茜色に染まり、駿河湾越しに富士山のてっぺんが少し見えた朝の風景。
ここは静岡県の御前崎。県最南端に位置する岬の街で、白亜の御前崎灯台がその象徴です。晴れた日には駿河湾越しに富士山を望むことができ、この日もわずかにその頂が顔をのぞかせていました。海には漁船が多く行き交い、漁業の盛んな土地であることがうかがえます。茜色に染まる夜明け前、波音に包まれながら一日の始まりを撮影しました。
2024年の梅雨入りは例年より遅かったようですが、空を覆う曇天にはやはり梅雨らしい雰囲気が漂います。雨の情景も趣はありますが、風景撮影においては、のっぺりとした曇天や雨はやや難しさを伴います。今回も、もし富士山が見えなければ撮らなかったかもしれません。でも、どんな天候であれ、現場に足を運ぶこと。それこそが風景撮影で大切なことのひとつだと、あらためて感じました。
This is Omaezaki, a coastal town located at the southernmost tip of Shizuoka Prefecture. The white Omaezaki Lighthouse stands as the town’s symbol. On clear days, you can see Mt. Fuji across Suruga Bay—and on this day, its peak briefly appeared through the haze. Fishing boats came and went across the sea, a testament to the area’s thriving fishing industry. I arrived before dawn, just as the sky turned crimson, and captured the beginning of the day to the sound of waves.
The 2024 rainy season seemed to start later than usual, but the overcast sky still carried that unmistakable sense of tsuyu—Japan’s early-summer rains. Rainy scenes can have their own quiet charm, but for landscape photography, flat gray skies and rain present a challenge. Honestly, had Mt. Fuji not appeared, I might not have taken any photos that day. Still, no matter the weather, going to the location—that, I’m reminded, is one of the most important things in landscape photography.
