Iizukatei Room Series: Dozo A and Dozo B
Two rooms renovated from the traditional kura (storehouse) of the Iizuka family. In a country with hot humid summers and dry cold winters, kura keep important items dry and protected from the elements. Dozo was one big space, and housed three mikoshi (mini shrine) which were paraded through the shotengai during Takenoko Festival (May 1-3).
Featuring a cosy living and kitchen area, kitchenette, bath, rain shower, separate toilet on the ground floor, with two semi-double Simmons beds and study area on the loft floor. Dozo A and Dozo B are perfect for couples, solo travellers or a getaway with a friend.
