Cape Soya, the northernmost point of mainland Japan, is accessible by a direct bus from Wakkanai Station, and I bought a return bus ticket from the bus terminal for ¥2,800. There weren’t many tourists since it’s quite far from Sapporo. If you’re planning to go there, make sure to bring something windproof, as it can get very windy near the sea.
