鹿児島県大口盆地を川内川が流れ一大瀑布「曽木の滝」となって鶴田ダムへとそそいでいます。
滝幅210メートル、高さ12メートルの壮大なスケールを誇り、「東洋のナイアガラ」とも呼ばれています。千畳岩の岩肌を削るように流れ落ちる水流とその轟音は豪快そのものです。
一帯は自然公園となっており、春には桜、秋には銀杏や紅葉など季節ごとに訪れる人々を魅了します。

The Kawauchi River flows through the Okuchi Basin in Kagoshima Prefecture, forming the gigantic Sogi Falls, which empties into Tsuruta Dam.
Boasting a magnificent scale of 210 meters wide and 12 meters high, Sogi Falls is also known as the “Niagara of the Orient.”
The roaring sound of the water cascading down, carving into the rock face of Senjoiwa Rock, is truly spectacular.
The entire area is a natural park, and is attractive to visitors every season, with cherry blossoms in the spring and ginkgo trees and autumn leaves in the fall.

    義姉が大口出身で、この滝のことは子供の頃聞いてはいたのですが、こんなに広く、本当にナイアガラの滝みたいですね。
    本格的な梅雨に入ったら、水量も多くなり迫力も増すでしょね。
    映像で観れるとはありがとうございました。
    帰省されてたのですね。❤
