Kaosong is located in the southern part of Taiwan, but surprisingly the weather here is much warmer and more stable than Taipei. As the second largest city in Taiwan, Tree Mama, my son Leon, and I myself truly fell in love with this friendly and vibrant city during our family trip. Previously, we took the Taiwan highspeed rail from Taipei to Kaung. Amazingly took 90 minutes only. If you’re debating whether to take standard class or business class, check out the comparison video linked in the description below. Back to the topic, we’re staying at the IHG Hotel, Indigo Kaosing Central Park tonight. From the highspeed rail station, you can take a taxi there for about 300 Taiwan. Or ride the metro for just $30 Taiwan per person. Either way, both options take around 30 minutes. Travel tip for you. If you choose the metro, don’t follow Google Maps. It may lead you to the wrong exit one. Instead, take exit 2 at R9 Central Park Station. It’s just a one minute walk to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a colorful hopscotch welcome carpet. Such a fun detail. The hotel is pet friendly now, but is it kid-friendly? Let’s find out. Kaosong is a famous harbor city, and that theme is reflected in the hotel’s design. You’ll even spot an anchor. Check-in was smooth and professional. The overall design feels young, stylish, and full of energy. We’ve been assigned a corner room on the 10th floor. I heard the view is amazing, and many Instagram influencers love unboxing this room type. Let’s go and see for ourselves. Oops, I didn’t realize the curtain opens automatically. Let me do that again for you. I usually turn on all the lights first before filming my unboxing videos. Let’s get started. All right, let’s unbox the room today. 109. Let’s [Music] go. Wow. So, this is a premium room type with a one king-siz bed and a 50 m square for the room size. Let’s take a look at the view first. It’s at night. We cannot see clearly outside, but we will I will show you tomorrow. So, basically, there are the main shopping area over there. And right here is the central park. Okay. Should be beautiful in the morning. And let’s check out the room. They got a big chair right here. I think you can lie down comfortably. Nice one. And this is a king-size bed. Looks fine. Looks okay with the drawers and the room controls right here. Got with a USB ports, but there’s no USBC since this hotel is already 8 years. So, there’s no update yet. The design is like a containers. This represent for the gong this city. And okay, nothing here. [Music] Very huge windows with a TV right here. Use Panasonic. All right. And on the desk. Oh, this is cool design. You can put your gadgets right here. Hello. And the working desk. It’s a light. Looks nice. Let’s check out the mini bar. The fridge. They got two drinks. Not sure it’s for free or paid. It will check. And got a coffee machine with less preo. Oh, only few capsules. Only two with a four bottles waters and a kettle. Oh, if you you can order in room dining is the with everything you need. So many glasses. I think it’s a good one if you want to have a wine. here the teacups the best rope and the slippers. However, even we bring the kids here, there’s no amenities for the kids. That’s a bit sad for that. The safe Oh, oops. Sorry. The safe right here. Nothing inside. Watch out. Okay. Okay. And this is a open wardrobe here. Got Hey, somebody sucks here. All right. Okay. And the area here can put your luggage kind of a laundry bag and shoe cleaners. Okay. That’s for the fire. And inside this this door is the bathroom. The bathroom is huge as well. They got two mirrors with a two tip and sinks. That’s a good one. And they only got a soap right now. There’s no more personal amenity kits. It’s a cute kind of indigo cups. I think uh scale weight also quite good decorated chair. All right. This is the haird dryer. They are using the Wait, I’m not so sure which bread, but it looks it’s quite heavy. Probably professional one. Okay. All right. I like it. Okay. The tuner doesn’t work, but it’s fine. Oh, so this is the one that very famous for this hotel. It’s huge. Uh best top. It’s really huge. Wow. Like that. Oh, so huge. Okay. So, we can see the park view in the morning. But, uh, when having a shower, probably we need to close it. And got amenities with a tent. This brand, right, the shower got a hand shower. Also, the rain shower is quite good, quite big. Few handles right here. And this is the toilet. It’s a wash, but it’s not automatic. All right. So, probably that’s all for this room tour. Later, we’ll also show you the facilities. See you [Music] around. It’s time to discover a real rooftop bar in Kawa. The pier number one on the R floor. Wow, what a chill vibe. This bar opens daily from 700 p.m. till midnight with live music. It really feels like a vacation abroad, even though we’re still in Taiwan. There’s also a huge video projection screen here. Maybe it’s used for movie nights. Sounds like a plan for another day. that tall building with the warm yellow lighting. It’s the five-star Grand High Hotel. And yes, I have another unboxing there coming soon. As for the food, just being honest, it’s a bit pricey and a bit salty for my taste. But here’s a perk. If you have an IHG Lounge Pass, you get a $399 Taiwan discount voucher. Nice bonus. At night, this area comes alive. Local snacks, street shops, and a lively vibe. Don’t miss the chance to walk around Kaosong. Now we’re heading back to the room and see you tomorrow. And those corner windows, one of the best reasons to book this room. Before showing you the hotel’s facilities and unbox the breakfast semi buffet with an alakart menu. The fitness center is on the third floor or maybe between the third and fourth. Either way, it’s tiny. Not sure if that’s common for Indigo hotels. Let me know in the comments if you’ve seen bigger gyms in other Indigo locations. Now, let’s head to the second floor for breakfast at Walk on the Park. If you want a quiet dining experience, I recommend sticking to the assigned time slots. Love this detail. The tablecloth features Koshong attractions. So creative. Here’s the alakart menu. I’m going to order a few items and recommend the good ones for [Music] you. I really appreciated the quality of the food. Even though it’s a semi buffet, the buffet area has great selections, both hot and cold dishes. [Music] There’s a local touch, too. You can cook your own noodles. And it’s not just about meat. There’s a vegetarian station with quality choices. Craving nuts and cereals, they’ve got that, too. Freeflow packaged drinks are perfect for kids. You can also grab yogurt and fruits, plus a cup of coffee or tea. And here comes the alakart dishes. Eggs benedict. Delicious seafood soup with rice. Highly recommended. Very fresh. French toast. A must try. Creamy and flavorful. I also had a bowl of beef soup. A warm and comforting way to start the [Music] day. After breakfast, we realized there are no kids facilities in the hotel. So, we decided to explore the big park right across the street. I even brought along a cardboard box. You’ll see why soon. It’s just a 3minut walk from the hotel to Central Park. One of the most fun things here is cross skiing. [Music] [Music] Just a heads up, don’t slide using your pants and butt only. Bring a cardboard sheet to really enjoy the ride. Try it a few times and stay safe. Okay, it was super fun. Go, go, go. Whether you have little kids or older children who love to climb and explore, this park is perfect and surprisingly not crowded. We’re heading back to the hotel now. We tried turning on the TV, but it showed some hotel backend system. Hm, maybe I should know some rooms weren’t checked out or cleaned yet. All right, let me give a quick summary about the Hotel Indigo Gauson Central Park. So, first of all, the location of this hotel is actually quite good. It’s just right next to the metro station and next to the park and also the shopping avenue. The room itself got a great view for the Gauson city. Even though it’s not very high floor, but it’s beautiful enough. The last but not least, the bar on the rooftop pier number one is actually very chill. The environment, everything is very good. Especially they got a live band over there to sing for you. And you can see the stunning gosh city view. No other hotel got the same facilities, the outdoor one. So, highly recommend if you visit this hotel, the breakfast and also the Pier One bar. Eventually, I hope you find this video useful and enjoyed today’s unboxing video.
