新しい秘密基地で初めての車中泊/北海道・北竜町の静かな夜【プラド車中泊】

May 2025 I’ll try sleeping in my car for the first time in a new room I made with simple DIY. That alone makes sleeping in my car more fun than usual . I’m planning to have dinner at a restaurant, so I’ll go shopping for breakfast the next day. I’ll finish quickly and leave right away. I’ll take a bath in the hot spring again and then spend my free time relaxing. I’ll also check out how convenient the new room is. 18:30 I’ll arrive at the roadside station where I’m staying for the night. Arriving at Sunflower Hokuryu, a roadside station with accommodation, restaurant and Hokuryu Onsen. The spring water here has the effect of warming the body from the inside out and has high heat retention, so it is also known as “hot water”. First, we start by getting our customary stamp. Hokuryu town is filled with about 1.3 million sunflowers from late July, and it is said to be bustling with tourists during this period. We return to the car and prepare to sleep in the car. The days are getting much longer in Hokkaido too . Even at dusk, the temperature is around 20°C. There is almost no wind, so it is fine to wear short sleeves. It may be too hot tonight if I use a spring or autumn sleeping bag. Thinking about this, I steadily build my secret base. There are many cars parked nearby, but the atmosphere is very calm as I can hear the croaking of frogs from the rice fields . The croaking of frogs is also a soothing sound for me. The ground feels good Finally, it’s time to set up the homemade table The installation is simple, but it’s very stable and feels good I’ll hang my tools on the perforated board right away Preparations are complete This time, I also prepared ground chairs for camping It’s now very spacious Now , I’m going to eat and relax in the hot springs The restaurant closes at 8pm so I decided to eat first I was hungry so I ordered a large portion of katsudon It was very delicious After eating, I headed straight to the hot springs On a personal note, my shoulders have been hurting a lot lately so I’m going to take a good bath in the hot springs The bathroom was spacious and it was a very good hot springs From here, I have free time by myself As I’ve said before, the space has become wider and it’s really comfortable to spend time here I don’t do anything unpleasant and I spend my time as I like And that’s It’s a truly luxurious time in a homemade secret base. I’m already getting ready for bed. I ‘m not going to use a sleeping bag tonight, but will sleep under a blanket. It’s time for dessert tonight. It’s a very ordinary eclair sold at a convenience store. After eating something sweet, I want to eat something salty next. I spend the rest of the time lazing around. I feel like I’m going to get sick soon if I continue living like this. I’m sleepy at 1am, so I go to bed. It’s 8:50 the next morning . I overslept. Most of the cars have already left. This time I’ll go home after eating breakfast. I tidy up my bed. It’s a nice, warm morning again today. First of all, I’ll have my morning coffee. It’s very convenient to have the necessary tools in front of me. I forgot to take a picture, but I’ve already put raw eggs and bacon in the frying pan. I’ll also add mixed cheese. I’m putting it in. I’m going to make a bacon and egg sandwich . I’m going to cut the bread in half and throw it on top of the ingredients . Now I’m going to flip it over like this. I’m trying to use tongs to flip it over, but it’s proving difficult. It’s getting worse and worse. It’s not working, so I’ll start using my hands. I managed to flip it over. All I have to do is sandwich it between the pieces of bread. I wanted to make it look delicious somehow, but I couldn’t. It’s a mess. The homemade table is just the right size and doesn’t wobble, so it’s very easy to use. It’s delicious. This is the first time I’ve used my new secret base. I actually spent time there and didn’t find any particular problems, so I was able to spend the whole time comfortably. This time, too, nothing special happened, just an everyday occurrence, but I hope you’ll join me again next time.

そして今回は少しだけ特別な夜。
かんたんDIYで作り上げた新しい車内空間で、初めて一晩を過ごします。

レストランで夕食を楽しんだあとは，いつも通り温泉に入って
車内ではただダラダラと過ごすだけ

完成した“自分だけの小さな部屋”で迎える最初の夜は
なんてことのない時間がなんだか特別に感じられました
