Photo taken on May 13, 2024. Located in Tsuwano Town, Shimane Prefecture. It was the base of the Shogunate army’s invasion of Choshu at the end of the Edo period, and in 1871, it was abolished as a feudal domain and abandoned castle, ahead of other feudal domains across the country. From the Hirayagura tower, which you first encounter on the mountain trail, to the remains of the castle tower, it was a long climb, descent, and then another climb, which was quite a challenge for a senile senior citizen like me.
照片拍攝於2024年5月13日。位於島根縣津和野町。這裡是幕府末期幕府軍入侵長州的基地，並於1871年在全國範圍內率先廢藩置縣，成為廢城。從山路上首先遇到的平倉塔，到天守閣遺址，要經過一段很長的上坡、下坡、再上坡的路程，這對於我這樣一個上了年紀的老人來說，是一個不小的挑戰。
