⁴ᴷ Ishikawa: Wakura Onsen Station (石川県: 和倉温泉駅) – Japan Walking Tour (May, 2025)

Last month, I refrained from traveling far, but as the weather gradually warmed up, I decided to take a trip this month to the Noto Peninsula on the Sea of Japan coast.

This visit was prompted by news that some accommodations in the area had resumed operations. What surprised me was the distance from Wakura Onsen Station to the hot spring town—it’s quite a walk. While hotel guests may not mind since shuttle services are available, those walking should be aware that the route passes through residential areas and can get quite dark at night.

At the reopened accommodations, I noticed many cars with license plates from outside the prefecture. It seems many people are visiting out of a desire to support this charming hot spring town. The public bathhouse, Sōyu, also appears to be open again, but I recommend checking the latest information on their website regarding business days and hours before visiting.
