One of the sub-temples of Nanzenji Temple. In 1339, when Tokan Shiren, the 15th abbot of Nanzenji Temple, requested the construction of a temple tower to enshrine Mukan Fumon, the founder of Nanzenji Temple, it was built as a hermitage. It has a beautiful dry landscape garden with white sand and moss in the eastern garden, and a stroll-style southern garden with a pond that has the feel of an old garden from the Northern and Southern Courts period.
