NagoyaNAGOYA, JAPANNAGANO NAGANO, JAPAN GERO ONSEN Experience Nagoya, Central Japan time I went to Central Japan . After having breakfast at the airport, I took the subway to pick up the car . I have rented cars more than 20 times when traveling in Japan, but this is the first time I have seen such a great waiting room in a rental car shop. There are coffee machines, beverage machines and TVs available. After picking up the car, we went to the first attraction we arranged , TOKONYAN The giant Nagoya Maneki Neko is located on the ceramics promenade in Tokoname City. Before you come here, you can see many ceramic studios along the way. There is the famous Maneki Neko Avenue here. The production of Maneki Neko is the highest every year, so it is called the “Hometown of Maneki Neko”!! But because we didn’t have enough time this time, we left after seeing the huge Maneki Neko. If you have time, it is recommended to arrange time to stop at Kawashima Rest Station, River Environment Paradise Oasis Park,
River Environment Paradise Oasis Park is a large entertainment and leisure facility consisting of Kiso River Water Garden, Aquarium, Expressway Trunk Line, etc. In addition to the large Ferris wheel, huge maze park amusement equipment, there are also restaurants and cafes where you can taste local food. New Yanagiya Shokudo is located at the new Yanagiya Shokudo in Gifu Mino City Station. It has been open for more than 60 years. The most popular dish in the store is the grilled pig offal “Tonchan” (380 yen) made with homemade sauce made with soy sauce base. After ordering, the store will help each customer cook on the iron plate in front of the table. At the same time, you can see the whole store filled with smoke 😂 The offal used in this store is very fresh and has no fishy smell at all. It is very delicious! We ordered the signature offal and beef tenderloin, pork tenderloin, etc. with the main course set meal for 2 people cost about NT 600 ¥2,680Mino Station The old station building of the former Meitetsu Mino Station is a tangible cultural property representing Mino City. It is just next to the restaurant and can be reached in three minutes on foot. The station building built in the Taisho era has three statically preserved trams, all of which are “classic cars”. They are all the main trams of the former Meitetsu City Line. Some of the locomotives are even nearly a hundred years old. The trains are well preserved and the admission fee is free. It is a place that train fans cannot miss. Genmichi Shrine>> Monet’s Pond<< Then drive to the next attraction. I saw the super beautiful Monet's water lily paintings at the Orangerie Museum in France. There are also "water lilies like Monet's paintings" in the pond in front of this Japanese shrine. The legendary "Monet's Pond" is also very beautiful, but it should not be considered a beautiful attraction😅Originally it was just an unnamed pond located in the shrine . Because it is a spring pond without mud and sand, the transparency is extremely high. The water plants and koi underneath can be clearly seen in the pool water. It is just like the clear and beautiful pond in the painter Monet's "Water Lilies". There will be maple leaves in the autumn, and it is also called "Japanese-style Monet Pond". Mukan>> Gero Onsen<< This is my third time to Gero Onsen. The previous two times I stayed at Yunoshima-kan halfway up the mountain . This time I decided to stay in the city to experience a different hot spring hotel . The hotel is just on the other side of Gero Station, and it is also very convenient to take the tram . Although the hotel is a bit old, it is clean and comfortable to stay in. There are many souvenir shops next to the hotel. After a stroll, we went back to the hotel to take a bath and prepare to have dinner. The open-air bath was taken when there was no one in the bathhouse! This time I stayed at the same place I liked before, with a one-night stay and two meals. The price is super affordable, less than NT$3,000 per person. It is a highly recommended place! This icy edamame soup is amazing! ! ! There is no bean smell at all and it is still very fragrant. I still can't forget it after watching the video 💚 The breakfast the next day was also very rich ~ one night and two meals for 2 people NT5,673 . Don't miss Muscat when you come to Japan! 💚When driving in Japan, you must use local navigation combined with your own navigation to feel more at ease! We are going to go to the place on our bucket list that we have marked for a long time but never visited! Naraijuku is a small mountain town that can rival Kyoto in ancient Japanese style. It is located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. It is a treasure land immersed in the long river of history. It takes more than 2 hours to drive from Gero to here by bypassing a mountain. This is not only one of the 36 major post stations on the Nakasendo Road in the Edo period, but also an important place that witnessed Japan's transformation from feudal society to modernization. The ancient streets and buildings of the Edo period are still preserved here . Some streets and old houses are more intact than those in Kyoto. Different from the hustle and bustle of Kyoto, it is very suitable for an in-depth tour . This place is called Naraijuku, not the Nara in Kansai. Naraijuku was one of the important roads connecting Edo (now Tokyo) and Kyoto in the early Edo period, around 1603. Even after a hundred years, although the construction of the railway has gradually weakened the importance of the Nakasendo Road , Naraijuku still maintains its cultural and historical value. It is still regarded as a historical and cultural heritage, attracting many tourists to visit. When we came, it was mainly Japanese tourists, not many foreign tourists. If you want to experience the best post town, maybe this is it! This place is filled with a strong Edo atmosphere and some even say it is more Kyoto than Kyoto! Then follow us to visit Naraijuku! This is one of the important post towns on the Nakasendo Road. It is one kilometer long and the longest post town in Japan. The accessories here are very special. They use ancient technology to preserve real flowers and make them into accessories! Really each one is so beautiful! ! ! I also bought a pair of earrings made of jasmine as a souvenir. When you come here to eat tea, you must try the Kiso specialty "Gohei Mochi". The menu is attached with photos and there are many different combination sets to choose from. The slightly spicy miso sauce and grilled Gohei Mochi go very well together. The set for 2 people is about NT 380 ¥1,700. Matsuya Tea House. On the way back, we randomly chose a teahouse to have some snacks. After checking, we found out that this teahouse is located on the site of a lacquerware and comb wholesaler built about 180 years ago. There are many ancient objects inside. They use a siphon pot to make coffee. The cake plates, spoons and tableware are made of Kiso lacquerware. 2 sets of snacks + coffee are about NT 490 ¥2,200. We stayed here for 3 hours this time and plan to stay overnight here next time I come. Kipen Yakiniku is a traditional yakiniku restaurant found on Google Map. It is a community-based yakiniku restaurant that is very popular with locals! The shop is run by an old couple. They are very warm and friendly. You can tell from the handwritten menu on the wall that it is a long-established shop. Although there are not many items for sale, the prices are affordable and the food is fresh. The CP value is very high! I will come back to this shop if I have the chance~ 3 rounds of yakiniku and draft beer for about NT 2100 ¥9,330 Hotel KEIHAN Nagoya When I returned to the city of Nagoya, I deliberately stayed in 2 hotels this time and wanted to share my experience with everyone. This hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Eicho Station . The style of the hotel is simple and elegant, and the color looks very comfortable. When I opened the door, I saw a large sofa and floor lamp. For a room of this size, this sofa is really big~ Teba-sen (fried chicken wings) that you cannot miss when you come to Nagoya . The next morning, the hotel even had eel rice for breakfast!!! In addition to eel rice, there are 6 other specialties to eat!!! Plus, the price is incredible! I love it and highly recommend it! The price for 2 people includes taxn>Including breakfast< NT 1,682 After shopping in the city during the day, I finally went to eat Nagoya's specialty Yabadon. I have been to the Yabacho main store many times but this is my first time to eat it😂 The color of the pork chop sauce will make people misunderstand that the taste is very strong, but it tastes surprisingly refreshing! If you want to personally recommend, just order the signature set meal ~ The set meal for 2 people is about NT 720 ¥3,210. There are many people dining here. It is recommended to avoid the peak hours . There is also a souvenir shop next to this restaurant! ⚠️Friendly reminder! Meat products are not allowed to enter Taiwan! In addition to food, many products are also very cute~ Nagoya Sakae Forza Hotel Then we checked into the second hotel. This hotel provides guests with a glass of red or white wine every day. There is also a coffee machine for free use. We stayed on a holiday that day. The hotels on Nagoya holidays were almost full. The feature of this one is that it also provides massagers. The massagers provided will also be different depending on the room level. The cost for 2 people, including tax, is NT 3,472. On the last day, we strolled leisurely and encountered a wine and dumplings event. The weather was hot, but there were still many people~ After the city trip, we went to Tokoname AEON. It is very close to the airport and very convenient. It is suitable as the last stop for supplies before going to the airport. Don't go away, there's more to come!!! The video is from YT: Zhao Shuo's Cycling Trip. At the end of last year, I accidentally discovered a video creator named Zhao Shuo who was cycling in China. Zhao Shuo started cycling from Shaanxi in July 2023 and headed west. On October 26, 2024, he met a kitten that meowed around his tent while camping in an outdoor pavilion in Xinjiang. Zhao Shuo adopted the cat and took him to travel the world. In order to commemorate Wukong, I decided to cut a short video after each video to remember all this. I hope Wukong can live in the hearts of more people. If you are interested, please search the channel name in the upper right corner to watch it~ Wukong: MEOW
