⁴ᴷ Toyama: Toyama Station (富山県: 富山駅) – Japan Walking Tour (May, 2025)

Last month, I refrained from taking any long trips, but with the weather warming up, I decided to set out on a journey this month toward the Noto Peninsula on the Sea of Japan side.

On my previous visit, I didn’t make it to the covered shopping arcade, but this time I walked all the way there. It turned out to be quite a distance, so I’d recommend taking the streetcar instead. The arcade is also a bit removed from the nightlife district, which gave it a rather unique feel. In former castle towns that serve as prefectural capitals, it’s not unusual for the main downtown area to be far from the train station—but it’s certainly more convenient when it’s within walking distance.
