This time, we will review what it was like when we actually stayed there. “Yamanoha” is a hot spring inn located in Kurobe, Unazuki, Toyama Prefecture. Transfer from “Kurobe Unazuki Station” on the Hokuriku Shinkansen to “Unazuki Onsen Station” on the Toyama Chiho Railway. Let’s check in. After passing through the beautiful entrance, there was a lounge with a panoramic view of Kurobe Gorge. Outside the window, you can see the symbol of Kurobe Gorge, “Yamabiko Bridge” . The original dried food was quite generous, making it a perfect snack to go with alcohol. Now, let’s head to today’s room. Today’s room is the main building, standard twin (river side). It was a spacious room, more than enough. There was also a yukata haori and a bath basket. “Yamanoha” is an inn that was renovated from an old hotel, so the oldness of the facilities is a bit of a concern. The only amenities in the room were toothbrushes, and everything else was in the large public bath. The rooms are divided into the “main building” and the “annex”, and the main building seems to be the older building . In addition to the difference in age, the difference between the buildings is the view from the room. If you want to enjoy the view of “Yamabiko Bridge”, choose the “main building, river side”. If you don’t care about seeing Yamabiko Bridge but want to enjoy the natural scenery, we recommend the “Annex/River Side” room. If you don’t care about the view and want to keep your accommodation costs as low as possible, we recommend the “Town Side” room. By the way, this time I stayed in a room with a balcony, but unfortunately it was completely visible from the other rooms. The best thing about Yamanoha is the open-air bath where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Kurobe and Unazuki. In particular, in the “Tanayu” bath, you can enjoy the hot springs while overlooking the Kurobe Gorge. There was also a place to relax after bathing in front of the large bath. There was also a vending machine near the large bath. By the way, there was also a karaoke and table tennis area. Now, let’s move on to dinner, which was what I was most looking forward to. The venue is spacious. The live buffet at Yamanoha is popular. The sushi is made by a chef right in front of you. The fish caught in Toyama Bay are lined up . Of course, in addition to seafood, there is also a wide selection of Western and Chinese dishes. By the way, all alcohol is charged. The fish was delicious, but the roast beef was also delicious. The food was excellent. Breakfast was also at the same venue as last night. They also served freshly made rice balls at the live buffet in the morning. They made them on the spot. You could choose your favorite toppings, and it was nice that they were small. There were many dishes using fish from Toyama at breakfast, so I was able to enjoy seafood from the morning. Of course, there was also a wide selection of Western food. You could also enjoy local gourmet food. It was a great inn where you could enjoy both the view and the food. If you are staying at Unazuki Onsen, why not take a trip on the trolley train? The Kurobe Gorge Railway is within walking distance of the hotel, and you can ride the trolley train that runs through the great outdoors. If you have a car, you can use the parking lot if you ask the front desk before checking in or after checking out. There is also a hot spring town and a foot bath, so it is also fun to take a stroll.
