Good morning, this is Yagi-chan. I’m currently at the Taisho Pond bus stop in Kamikochi, Nagano Prefecture. The weather is really nice! Actually, today, April 27th , there is a mountain opening festival in Kamikochi, and the store is opening, so I came here for a day hike. This time, I’m headed to Kamikochi in early summer. It’s amazingly nice weather! It’s beautiful! First of all, I often hear about Kamikochi, but where is it? It’s in this area, almost in the middle of Japan! It is part of the Chubu Sangaku National Park, a scenic spot located upstream of the Azusa River in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. It has been designated as a national cultural property and is approximately 1,500 meters above sea level. There are lodging facilities and hot springs, and Kamikochi itself is not only a tourist destination, but also a base for climbing the Hotaka Mountain Range and Mt.Yarigatake . Wikipedia First, drive from Matsumoto, where I live, to Sawatari Bus Terminal, which takes about 60 minutes . Since private cars are prohibited from Sawantari to Kamikochi, you will need to take a bus. It will take you about 25 minutes to reach Kamikochi Bus Terminal, where the famous Kappa Bridge is located . There are three ways to get to Kamikochi. ① If you want to use your own car until the last minute, you can take your own car to Sawado. From there, transfer to a bus for 25 minutes. ② If you are going by public transportation, it will take 30 minutes from Matsumoto Station to Shinjimashima Station. From there, it will take 60 minutes by bus. ③ Direct bus from the metropolitan area or Nagano Matsumoto Station. I live in Matsumoto, so I will drive to Sawatari. There is a hiking course around that area, but about an hour and a half before Kappa Bridge, there is a very beautiful pond called Taisho Pond, so I thought I’d start hiking from there. To get here, I was running on a winding road in the mountains, and the sky was pretty clear and the fresh greenery was fresh. It’s beautiful . There are a lot of cars in that area today. I can see it now! It’s so beautiful! The large parking lot at the Kamikami-kochi regional bus stop was full, but on the left side there was a restaurant called “Higuchi” and I was able to park Shiratama-san there. 800 yen per day Kamikochi round-trip ticket 2,800 yen for adults I took a bus from Sawando Bus Terminal to Kamikochi. It was amazing. The seat was so fluffy, it was completely different from the regular buses I used to ride. I rode this for 25 minutes and headed to Kamikochi. The timing was good as the parking lot was open. I was able to buy a ticket and get on the bus at a good time. Thank you very much. It’s Taisho Pond. You can reach Taisho Pond in about 30 seconds by walking from the Taisho Pond bus stop. It’s so beautiful! The weather is nice today, and the water surface is sparkling. It’s expected to be sunny during the day today, and the temperature will rise to around 25 degrees Celsius, but the sun hasn’t come out yet, so it’s very cold downstairs.I came dressed in a 25 degrees Celsius outfit, so I have a little jacket, but I’m going to spend my time believing that it’s going to be warm. For now, It’s probably about 7-8 degrees Celsius, so it’s quite chilly . Ah! The sun is out! The sun is out! It’s warm! I thought there would be quite a lot of people from overseas, but today was the opening ceremony, and more than half of the people were Japanese. I guess Kamikochi is popular with Japanese people as well. This is a nice guide map of Kamikochi. Your current location is here. From here, walk for about an hour along the Azusa River through Tashiro Pond and you will arrive at Kappa Bridge. This is Kamikochi’s bus terminal. Today we will hold the opening ceremony here, and then walk for about 40 minutes to Akira. I will go to Kamiike.Taishoike is said to be a pond where delicious food can be found around Myojinike. It is said that Taishoike was created when the Azusa River was dammed when Mt. Yakedake erupted in 1919.After that, the area of the pond was reduced to 4 times its original size due to the infiltration of soil and stones from upstream and tributaries . Recently , the number of dead trees that were often seen in the early days seems to have decreased. Next to this is Myojin Shrine and Okuhotaka. I have to go to the mountain opening festival! Kappa Bridge is just 3.0 km away, so it’s a good road! Hotaka is reflected in the Taisho Pond, and Mt. Yakedake is also reflected beautifully. It was so beautiful. The air is so clear right now and I feel so good. From there, I walked for about 5 minutes until I reached the wooden path. There was a road right next to it, and I continued walking along the Azusa River on the left.It took about 60 minutes to reach Kappa Bridge. I can hear the birds singing so much.It ‘s called Picchu Picchu, but I can’t really tell from the chirping yet.Kamikochi is about 1500m high, and it’s near the border between the mountain belt and the subalpine belt.Thank you for the sun.Today ‘s outfit looks like this: Houdini’s one piece, Millet T-shirt, Rowrow’s fashionable pants, shoes are from Altra. This is a photo spot in the Hotaka Mountain Range. There are a lot of people! It says, Mt. Myojin-dake, Mt. Hotaka-dake curl is Takezawa, and on the left is Mt. Oku-Hotaka-dake. The one on the far left is Kita-Hotaka. The mountain- opening festival will start in an hour and a half, so I keep going. I walk along the easy-to-walk wooden path. Hooray! Another wooden path! I’ve reached Tashiro Bridge. It’s only a short distance to Kappa Bridge in Kamikochi. The Azusa River is flowing on the left. The water is very beautiful, and the light blue is a light blue with high transparency (what color is it?) There were quite a lot of people from the Taisho Pond, but everyone was walking at their own pace, so it wasn’t like we were all clumped together , so we were able to walk quite quietly.Maybe it’s Fukinoto? It’s spring. I walked from Taisho Pond, which is a spectacular view . It takes about 5-10 minutes to get to Kappa Bridge. I walked slowly from Taisho Pond and arrived at Kamikochi for about an hour and a half. From here, I walk for about 5 minutes and arrive at Kappa Bridge. I’ll be making a guest appearance on a live broadcast at Kappa Bridge, but the meeting time is I have about 20 minutes left, so I’m going to stop by the Kamikochi bus terminal.Alpico Shop Various types of oyaki, curry bread croquettes, soft serve ice cream, kappa’s croquettes, kappa yaki that looks delicious . I got the kappa yaki . It’s so cute. It’s really kappa-yaki… That’s Kappa-yaki. I made a new and first combination of cream cheese and red bean paste, which is actually in the shape of a kappa . It’s delicious! It’s delicious from the beginning ! I realized that I took a bite too big. It looks like a taiyaki, but the dough is thinner than a taiyaki, so it’s like a castella cake.It ‘s very soft and fluffy.Look , the dough is thin.Another butter cookie. The Kamikochi ridgeline butter cookie looks delicious! Itadaki is a bit hard! (I’m having orthodontics and can’t chew. It’s normal hardness.) It’s 9:54 am. I’m meeting at 10:10, so I’m heading over soon. There’s a lot of people there. I’ll be playing the horn over there, and I’ll be appearing as a guest at the live streaming venue. I’ll be waiting for a while until the time comes. Yagi -chan from Yamakuku/Yagi-chan Thank you very much. I also appeared on Kamikochi’s official channel ♡ I love Nagano so much that I moved to Nagano three years ago. Please subscribe to the channel. Thank you very much from the opening. Thank you very much. The cool horn corps has arrived. The event is over. Everyone is scattering. I can’t drink alcohol, so I ‘ll just let you take a photo. (lol) There was a cafe, a beer shop, a souvenir shop, a soft-serve ice cream shop, and I got some soft-serve ice cream. I’ve been wanting to eat it for a long time. There were a lot of people, so I decided to go to the riverside . At the end of the group, we made a guest appearance. The live broadcast has finished! Most of the events have finished, so there are fewer people . We did our best. It’s almost 1 o’clock now and I’m a little hungry, so I’m going to eat lunch at Shirakabaso. It ‘s so beautiful! Look at it! It’s a carp streamer! It’s a cute steak! Luxury! Itadaki is a set of salad, soup, meat, and rice. This time, I helped out as a guest on the live broadcast of the Kamitakaike Founding Festival, and as a thank you, they treated me to lunch.I got this, and it was so high-class that I was a little surprised by it.It was delicious! The meat was juicy, and I felt like I could eat as much rice as I wanted. That’s right, Pakkun. Then I’ll go to Myojin Pond, which is beyond Kappa Bridge. It’s the Kamikochi Visitor Center next to Kappa Bridge. Last time I had lunch at the mountain opening festival, and I was only able to cover the area from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge, so I decided to do it again . From Kappa Bridge, I’m going to go further to Oku Myojin Pond. Kamikochi has a lot of wild birds, and there are lots of bird goods! There are lots of pictures of the mountains on display. There was a free telescope in front of the visitor center. That’s amazing! I could see Okuhotaka. Thank you. Now , keep going. Walk right next to the visitor center for about 2 minutes to reach the Kinashidaira campsite. We walked 400 meters from Kappa Bridge. It’s 2.7 km to Myojin Pond . Today I’m going to Tokuzawa. From here onwards, it’s a nature viewing area. It’s an hour’s walk from Kappa Bridge. Monkeys are everywhere. From here, I’m going to turn left and go to Hotaka Shrine and Myojin Pond. This is the final point of today’s 4-hour hiking course. There’s a public restroom. Lots of monkeys. It’s cute. All of them are called Mt. Myojin. There are big monkeys and small monkeys with children. The little monkey with a child on it was so cute. While I was eating my meal, a tourist pointed at me and pointed at the camera, and I said, “Whoa! Ha!” and it was so cute.I walked from Myojinkan to Myojin Pond. From Taisho Pond , Mt. Myojin-dake was looking cool in the distance , and Myojin Pond was at the base, so I walked closer and closer to it . There are so many monkeys, and they’re on really high trees. They look just like the flying squirrels I photographed in winter.Momons are bigger, but they’re eating wild vegetables and tree buds, and they’re so cute. There ‘s a suspension bridge.Cross the netsuri bridge to head to Hotaka Shrine and Myojin Pond.Myojin Bridge is also an amazing bridge. It’s sparkling.✨Salt -grilled char for 1,500 yen each. vs. Set meal 2000 yen Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Iwana’s bone sake/soba/ice cream also takes the rock fish out of the fish tank and takes it to life. Freshly caught fish grilled with salt over charcoal, rice, miso soup , burdock, konnyaku stew, and pickles. It looks delicious! I’m going to eat it! I ‘m hungry ! This is the rock fish that has been living there until now, and the staff is currently working on it.I heard that you can eat the whole thing from head to tail . Thank you so much , Pakkun. By the way , there was a super long line at the photo spot in the back , so we decided to see you off this time. If you want to see Myojin Pond, please pay the admission fee. Adults: 500 yen Children: 200 yen This is the entrance. There is a pond and a torii gate. There ‘s a huge line. From here onwards is the trekking area . The entrance to the climbing area where you can step into the grander nature and face nature. Iwana was delicious! I was able to safely visit Hotaka Shrine. The general hiking route is to start from Taisho Pond, pass Kappa Bridge, and reach Myojin Pond.It takes about 4 hours to return to Kappa Bridge from here. This is my first time hiking in Kamikochi. However, there were so many things to see and it was so much fun. 4 hours might seem like a long time, but the distance is not that long and it takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour to visit the sights, washrooms, and gourmet restaurants, so it actually felt shorter. The trail is well maintained and there are a lot of tourists, so I think it’s a place that even beginners can enjoy.Actually , I’m going to stay at a place called Tokuzawaen and go climbing up to Karasawa Cirque, but this video of Kamikochi hiking ends here. Next time, I’ll show you how to hike from here to Tokuzawaen and stay overnight at Tokuzawaen. See you soon. Thank you for watching until the end. If you want to go to Kamikochi, please subscribe and like the channel. See you soon.
