Winter Road Trip in Hokkaido | Snowy Village, Waterfalls & Scenic Spots from Sapporo to Furano

After two amazing days in Sapporo, we’re hitting the road today for a scenic adventure through rural Hokkaido. Bikkuri Donkey We kicked off the morning with a cosy breakfast at Bikkuri Donkey. I had their classic hamburger steak with rice and salad. My husband ordered the ‘special breakfast’ which consists of toast, salad, mashed potatoes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. The food was so good and comforting. After breakfast, we then hopped on the metro to the airport to pick up our rental car. Here we go! We’re driving to Furano which takes around 2 hours. The drive out of Sapporo was beautiful — open roads, snowy hills, and hardly any traffic. It felt like we were heading into a different world — slower, quieter, and absolutely beautiful.
