【石川県立図書館】館内を徹底紹介!グレートホールから回廊まで全館探訪

Hello! [Destination Stroll] Koto Trip 🐦️This time we will take a walk around the Ishikawa Prefectural Library. Across the street from the library is Kanazawa College of Art. This area, which used to be the site of Kanazawa University’s Faculty of Engineering, is a cultural and educational base for Ishikawa Prefecture and Kanazawa City. The lush exterior and plaza are in harmony with the city. Today, let’s take a walk together through the overwhelming scale and design of the interior of the library. ☺️ Turn to the pages of the book. Enter the library from the southwest exit. Once you enter the library, there is a floor map of the entire building in the plaza in front of the central information counter. You can see where and what areas are located from the 1st floor to the 4th floor. On the 1st floor, there is a cafe called “Ham and Go” where you can enjoy coffee and snacks. Next to the cafe is a media art book search site called “Bookrium”. There is a stem, so you can experience books as if you were window shopping. As you move toward the center of the first floor, you will find the overwhelming presence of the Great Hall, a large oval-shaped space with a ceiling height of 18 meters.About 70,000 books are lined up inside the building, and the bluish ceiling dome and design that uses a lot of wood create a warm and comfortable space. As you move toward the north exit, you will find a natural environment with nice bench sofas . A spacious and well-lit space , followed by the children’s area. This is a fun space with play equipment and an outside park.Children will be able to enjoy it.From the children’s area, pass through the Great Hall to the north, turn left and go around the plaza at the north exit. From the north exit , return to the Great Hall and take the escalator to the 2nd floor. The view overlooking the 1st floor is also a great view point on the 2nd floor. Proceed through the middle from the northeast to the southwest side. On the right side, you can see the bookshelf space on the first and second floors. On the left, there are bookshelves from the second to third floors. There is also a special exhibition corner here, where exhibitions and events with various themes are held. From the southwest side, there is a bookshelf space in the west area. The view that can be seen from the gap between the bookshelves on the right side is also wonderful. Next, go to the north area. There is a general counter where you can consult about usage and complete various procedures.Next is the east area, which is an area where you can experience hands-on activities such as “Dandan Hiroba” and the manufacturing experience space.Next is the south area. There is a large training room here, and a learning space surrounds it.It can be used as a multipurpose space for individuals, groups, and events.Go through the south area on the 2nd floor and go to the central staircase. From to the 3rd floor The 3rd floor is characterized by a bridge that crosses through the air.Cutely designed chairs and indirect lighting are lined up on the bridge , making it feel like a cafe. You can see the entire Great Hall from the center of the bridge, and the view from here is spectacular.Go through the 3rd floor from the southwest side to the northeast side, and go around the 3rd floor from the north area. There are many bookshelves in the west, south, and east areas. There are plenty of study spaces, making it the perfect place for learning. YouTube [Destination Walk] Koto Trip brings you walking scenes from small travel destinations. I would be so happy if you could enjoy the atmosphere of taking a walk together on a trip ☺️ If you like this video, please subscribe to the channel and hit the good button 👍️ After going around the 3rd floor, go from the northeast side to the 4th floor. The 4th floor is a corridor-style reading space at the top of the Great Hall.A passageway of about 160 meters goes around. When you look from above at the high ceiling and large open amphitheatre-like space , you will be overwhelmed by the scale and beauty of the library. The 4th floor is dotted with hideaway study spaces. It may be a good place to quietly read a book or concentrate on studying. Also , there is direct access from the 4th floor to the bookshelves on the 3rd floor. There are also two staircases that you can go down , and the design makes it easy to get around the facility naturally.Ishikawa Prefectural Library is a place where you can not only borrow or read books, but also enjoy the architecture itself and have various experiences and encounters. The more you walk, the more you discover new things, and it is full of charm that makes you want to visit again and again.Enjoy the beauty of the architecture and the diverse space.Thank you for watching until the end.
