Stayed at an Onsen Hotel Inside a Train Station – Aomori Room Tour in Japan snowiest place 🧖♂️🚄
We were supposed to go from Hida to Nagano……but our hotel had other ideas So here we are at the lovely sake/snack bar in Nagano Station waiting for our new train We rerouted north…Welcome to Aomori -Japans snow capital I booked a hotel… inside the JR station itself. (Not Shin-Aomori) Right in Aomori city After getting off the train you take the elevator up to the top floor.
Modern. Calm. Unexpectedly luxurious. Perfect, Let me show you around Little baskets for the onsen Pajamas and robes And tons of great high quality amenities Everything I needed after an entire day on trains There’s an onsen, too. But I didn’t film that part.
Some things are best experienced quietly. All of the soaps were organic and really nice They left bath salts and everything needed for the face Here is a typical Japanese style shower room. Everything looked as if we were the first to use it Time for a hot tea And a little night cap never hurt. The red wine was from France and delicious. Glassware was beautiful Time to wake up. Off to the onsen before our train trip today First it is time for a coffee I love the coffee machine noise Beautiful view from the room Snowfall in Aomori due to its location is constant
It can fall for days… Over 8 meters of snow in a winter ❄️ We didnt get any today It is time to continue our journey. Today we are going to Lake Toya in Hokkaido The train ride will take around 4 hours Time to check out The full trip today to Lake Toya takes about 4 to 5 hours, depending on connections Thank you so much for watching. We hope you have enjoyed the short video
Ever soaked in a hot spring without even leaving the train station? This video takes you inside a uniquely Japanese experience: a modern onsen hotel located directly inside JR Aomori Station.❄️🇯🇵
We begin with train clips from Nagano, and then arrive in Aomori, where the real magic begins — a room tour of this quiet, beautifully designed onsen hotel. The architecture is clean and calming, the amenities are thoughtful, and the bath? Pure bliss.
This isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a way to slow down, reset, and experience Japanese hospitality in one of its most surprising forms.
This was a last minute booking after a very very long travel day from Hida to Nagano to Aomori – and was well worth it.
