札幌でのショッピング:高い?それともお手頃? | Japan Vlog 🇯🇵

Welcome to Saporro. Located in Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan, Saporro is known as one of the top destination in Japan, especially during winter. But Saporo is not just about skiing or snowboarding. It also offers great shopping and delicious food. Today, we will explore Saporo and show you what you can do in this city. So, let’s start with this famous park, Odori Park. [Music] Good morning from Saporo in Japan. Today we’re going to explore a one day perfect itinerary for you that’s coming to Saburo and to show you what you can do in this city. A lot of people only think of Sapuro if they go skiing or snowboarding. But actually, this city has a lot to offer. If you see this icy park to my right side, this is Odori Park. This is a very famous park in Saporro because this is where they held the ice festival. You know that famous ice festival in Saporo where they held it every year. But unfortunately, right now they’re still preparing for it and they will have it in February which is next week. And unfortunately, we’re not able to see. But if you’re in Saporo in February, every year they will have this [Music] festival. I forgot to mention on the other side is Saporro’s TV tower. You will see this photo a lot in Saporro like travel guys or anything because this is iconic and famous to Saporo. It was built in the 1950s I think for the to air the TV in Saporro city and they have an observation deck. So if you like to see cities from above, you can actually go inside and take the elevator up. Just a few steps from Odori is this area that is so lively. And this area actually reminds me of Ginsa because of how many stores they have here. Like look, you can literally shop a lot of things here. And we need to do some shopping because it’s it’s going to be our last few days in Japan and we need to shop to for family and friends back [Music] home. Let’s pause this video for a moment. I’m going to give you a very special tip on how to save money in Japan. If you guys are wondering which booking platform has the best deals in Japan, the answer is cloak. We use cloak to book almost everything from our sinkansen rides to our attractions and even hotels. And if you guys don’t have time to plan your itineraries, you can also purchase the tours they have on cloak and let them take care of the rest. The reason why we always book from cloak is because it’s so easy to use and it’s reliable. Also, it’s English friendly. And by the way, if you guys aren’t aware, you need to almost pre-book everything in Japan because they’re always sold out. Everything from Universal Studios, Disney, Disneyland, Team La Planets to the Harry Potter World, everything because Japan is just it’s over tourism, guys. And if you don’t book a week in advance, you might not get your tickets. And here’s where you get the discount code. You can get up to 8% off Uncloak with my codes. Yes, you can save it now and you can use it anytime you check out Uncloak. So that’s all. Now let’s get back to the video. Some of you will have the impression that Saporro is such a quiet city. There’s not a lot of people here. But wait till you see the underground city, especially during winter. So what makes it super interesting is Saporo built an underground city because half of the year this city is just super cold. [Music] Can you see the difference between underground and up there? There’s so many people down here. It looks like such a busy city, but up there it looks like nothing. Like there’s no one there. And this underground area is so big. It it connects through stations. So that’s how big it is. So you can actually walk from station to station. Uh I think I find this very interesting. They can build an underground city because they know how cold Saporro city is. And this is a way to make their citizens feel uh warmer and better. [Music] You can find literally everything in this underground mall from shops, bags, shoes, uh clothes, cafes, and even restaurants. Like look, even Charles and Kit is inside this underground [Music] mall. I’m at this shop called Three Coins, and they sell the most adorable thing. They have this plates that’s shaped like a heart. I think it’s for Valentine’s with love from me to me. And they’re also [Music] adorable. These are very cute home slippers. They also have the Lion King collection. Okay, let us see the prices. It’s 800 yen. Actually, not bad. This is stone diffuser. 800 DN each. I’ve never seen a stone diffuser before. M smells good. This is so unique. Look at this handbag. This is only 1,800 yen. Okay, this is adorable. Like I said, this underground shopping area not only has unique shops, but is also full of restaurants and snacks. Since we are in Saburro, of course, we need to try the famous Saporro cheesecake. Uh, one apple pie, one one piece. Yes. Uh for here look. So we got desserts even if we haven’t eat anything yet. So desserts can come first. Yes. So we got the the famous Hokkaido cheesecake. Yes. Oh my god. I’m sure you guys heard about Hokkaido cheesecake. Hokkaido is Hokkaido soft serve. So Hokkaido is actually the island we’re at right now where Saporo City is located in. Smell it. It smells so good. Wow. Cannot wait to try. And the other one is apple pie. So Japan actually produces Fuji apples and the apples are amazing. That’s why you will find a lot of apple pies here. And the most famous apple is aliore apples. Oh yeah. It’s produced in Almori city. Yes. Let’s try. I want to try this first. M. Wow. That cheese that M. It’s so soft. Mhm. And the crust is super super like hard and crispy. It doesn’t taste like the usual baked like that brand bake. It’s so different. How much is it? I pay 650 for both. Oh, wow. I think the price is actually not bad. Yeah, it’s not bad. And they just opened at 10:00 a.m., which is probably uh 2 hours before. So, I think they’re quite fresh. Now, let’s try the apple pie. M. So good. The first impression is not too sweet. And the apples, they tasted amazing. And the crust, the pastry is so buttery. Yeah, so flaky, so buttery. Hinatoya bakes. Recommended. [Music] Still in the underground mall, just across from the bakery is the famous supermarket in Japan, Donkey [Music] J. We’re at one of my favorite place in Japan, Donkey J. Or in other cities, people know this as Dond Donkey. I didn’t know that they also have donkey in Sapuro. At first, I thought supper will be like a small town vibes and nothing much to do there but ski. But coming here, it’s such a whole other [Music] impression. Look how much we shop at Donkey. Yes. And by the way, you have to shop around 5,000 so you can get the tax free and taxree is only at the fourth [Music] floor. So we bought this much for 8,155 yen. And if you want to shop Andoki, you have to spend 5,000 yen to get a taxree. But don’t forget to bring your passport. And also, I think your card, your credit card has to be under your name. So make sure you have that. But if not, you can always pay by cash. Since we haven’t eaten anything yet today other than that Hokkaido cheesecake, we decided to have lunch. One of the must try dishes in Hokkaido is their soup curry. And we found a highly rated soup curry restaurant on Google Maps. Our food are here. So, we’re eating at this suagi place. Uh this is so famous for its soup curry. So, soup curry is very famous in Hokkaido. It’s a different kind of curry like the thick one that you usually have in Japan. And look, I ordered the chicken one. And what I love is you can actually choose the level of spiciness and also the the kinds of the soup. So, let’s try. I ordered the the very spicy one. M. That’s good. I can still handle the spice. It’s not that crazy spicy. You can order I think until like the jalapeno spice or something like very very spicy. Okay, now let’s [Music] see. I love how they serve it with this uh veggie skewers. I think they grill this first and then put it in the curry soup. So it makes it so fragrant. M. That’s good. M very good [Music] [Applause] [Music] potato. Devoured with grace. It is that good. After lunch, it is time to continue our shopping in the next destination, Tanuki Koji Shopping Street. Next destination is a shopping street that’s famous in Saburo called Tenoki Koji Shopping Street. So this alley has six parks uh no seven and then there’s around 200 outlets here. So there’s everything you need here fromarmacies, restaurants, cafes, hotels and all of these places that we went today are close to each other. Like you can actually walk to that place. Like we we don’t take any MRT or any bus today. We only walk to all of these places. This place reminds me a lot of the shopping street in Asakusa. Like the ceiling and the shops, they look so similar. I didn’t know they have a lot of this in Japan because it’s also similar with the tombburi in Osaka. [Music] Something that people really love in Japan is gacha. And the gacha store here is just huge. It’s like so long. Can you see how many Gacha is behind me? They’re all so cute. Whatever this character is, it is so cute. Like look, look at the mini chef. [Music] He found something that he loves. He found it, guys. Crimea. It’s just [Music] amazing. I got it. I think this is the fourth time I buy cria in Japan. It is so amazing. There’s two flavor, the chocolate and vanilla. But me personally and Nessa also like the vanilla one. It’s so [Music] amazing. You can easily spend hours in Saporo shopping areas. But since it’s time for us to check in, let us show you a room tour to our hotel. So we can finally check into our hotel room. And what makes this hotel super special is the location. All the places that we went today, we can walk from this hotel. It’s within walking distance. So, you can save so many co so much commute time by staying here because it’s just so close to go to everywhere. And now I’m going to give you a room tour. So, let’s start with the bathroom. Okay. Uh, as you can see, the bathroom is pretty compact. I will let you know that this is not the standard Japanese bathroom. It is more modern. And you have a very big bathtub right here. Uh, and they give you a shampoo, conditioner, body wash, everything you need. Plus some fancy stuff. I don’t know what this they are. This is moisture milk, moisture lotion, and liquid cleansing. Is this like for cleansing your face? And I think the brand is quite is quite famous here in Japan as well. Oh, you also get body lotion. Yes, I love it. I love when rooms give you all of this stuff. And also, this is the standard amenities and everything else that you need like towels, they write everything. And over here, you actually have a little storage room. Okay, we haven’t tidy up, but if you can see down here, there’s a Okay, there’s a little storage for you. Um, there’s a safe and then there’s more storage uh when you go up. And here is where you place your coats. So yes, very compact but very effective as well. And here is a very big full-size mirror. I think this mirror is one of the biggest that we’ve got in Japan. Now to our room. Twin beds. Japan has a lot of twin beds. We always got twin beds because it’s just better to sleep this way. And this is a single plus. So it’s not like the tiny tiny single beds. It’s a bit bigger. And they give you two pillows and also a bolster. This bolster is like almost as tall as me. Okay. And right here they have a coffee machine, not an espresso, but similar. It’s called the drip pot, which I’m super excited to try because look how fancy they look like. And they have so many different flavors. This is a green tea, gray tea, mouth rose, and then city rose. If I drink all of this in one day, I think I will get like jitters. But it looks so so nice. Okay. And also a water heater. Glass. More glass. And this is my favorite part. Tada. It is a mirror. Um, I’m going to put all my makeup stuff here and do my makeup here. And one more thing that I want to show you. Remember when I told you the places that we went today is within walking distance? You can actually see the tower from here. Yep, that is the view of Saporro City. Now, I’m going to get we’re going to get a little rest before we continue our day in Saporro. And plus, if you’re interested in this hotel, I will link below the link of this hotel for you to learn more or maybe book your hotel here in Saporro. [Music] [Applause] [Music] So, it’s night time again. That means it’s time for dinner. And there’s one really special place that we have to check out is Saporos Ramen Alley. Yes, an alley full of ramens. I’m quite excited to try. And we’re right in front of the alley. So, let’s check it out. [Music] So many choices of ramen place. I don’t know which one to [Music] choose. So, I’m going to we’re going to try the Kuni Mitsu ramen. Uh there’s not much of a line, which I’m okay with that because I think lining up is quite tiring. And they have the spicy miso ramen and I really want to try. And by the way, miso is from Hokkaido is from this island. That’s why you have to try here the authentic one. [Music] So, our food are here and I got the spicy miso ramen and Minardo got the corn butter. And just a little a little side note, miso ramen is from Saporro, not miso. It’s the miso ramen. Now, let’s try the noodle. This is the type of noodle that I really like. the the I don’t know curly ones. I don’t really like like itchy around the straight one. Mine is good. It’s not that spicy, but the miso is a bit different than the one we have in Tokyo. This one has a more like a dashy like corny fishy flavor. How about yours? Mine is really the butter taste is very strong. You can really taste the butter. So buttery. So buttery. Yeah. But it’s so good. Is it spicy? No, not at all. Not at all. I never know. Corn goes corn butter and ramen goes together. I don’t think it’s miso. I don’t feel any miso taste. It’s more very buttery and corny. Wow. It’s still good. [Music] After dinner, it is time to end our night in the time square of Saporo. This is Suzukino. After the ramen, we decided to take a walk at Sutukino, which is the most lively area here in Saporro. It does feel like you’re in Tokyo or Osaka. We definitely did not think Saporro will be this lively and this bright. And yeah, as you can see, the lights behind me, they’re like shining so bright. And they’re all located super close to each other. The Ramen Alley, Suzukino, our hotel. And also right now right below us is the underground city that we went this morning. So you have two options. Either you want to walk up here uh to see some things and then you can also walk down there and get get some [Music] more. Sapor has been so amazing. Now, we know that Saporo is not just a place for snowboarding and ski. There’s so many other things you can do in this city, especially shopping. But of course, a trip to Saporro wouldn’t be complete without some snow activities. That’s why in our next video, we will be snowboarding at the most famous ski resort in Hokkaido, Nco. So, if you like this video, don’t forget to give us a thumbs up and subscribe. We’ll see you next Saturday. Bye. [Music]

Our first time in Hokkaido, Japan—and of course, we had to explore Sapporo! We honestly didn’t expect Sapporo to be this lively and vibrant!

We stayed in Susukino, which made it super easy to explore the area. It’s where you’ll find the famous Sapporo Ramen Alley, Tanukikoji Shopping Street, and the massive underground mall—everything was just steps away!

Turns out, Sapporo isn’t just about skiing and winter activities. The real highlight of our trip was the food—especially the Soup Curry and Hokkaido Cheesecake. It was beyond delicious and definitely unforgettable!
