Adachi Tara, an inn at the foot of the mountain with the best food and comfort, a private inn for up to 200 people !? Takikawaya Fukushima/Yokomuko Onsen Shimonoyu hello “How to Walk” I will visit Takigawa-ya in Yokomuko Onsen, Fukushima, which is the best hot spring inn in Japan for me. Founded in 1888, Takigawa-ya is located in the lower bath of Yokomuko Onsen, and the source was discovered by the Edo period association. It was apparently discovered when the Tsu clan conducted a survey to build a road in this area.At its peak, as many as 200 people stayed there, and the building is still in its original condition, with a limit of two groups per day. That seems to be the limit in order to provide the best hospitality. When we visited this time, there was only one group, and in other words, it was completely reserved. There is a road leading to the inn just off of National Route 115 and onto Prefectural Route 70 that leads to Azuma Skyline.Although it is easily accessible, taking less than an hour by car from JR Fukushima Station, it feels like a secret hot spring, and you can’t see it from the road at all. My father used to stay here after climbing Mt. Adachi Tara when he was young, and was indebted to his predecessor , probably about 70 years ago. After that, my father continued to come here, and of course he brought me along as well. When I was young, I used to think, “Why did I go to such a rural area?” But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to appreciate the beauty of this place, and sometimes I just want to come here.As I walk about 300m from the prefectural road, I see a large wooden building. The inn is in the back, and the spa area is sticking out.The building of Takikawaya Ryokan is large both horizontally and vertically, and has a charm that attracts people who look at it.Pets are not always allowed, but they will accommodate requests as they arise. The dog welcomed us! Kenshiro seems to have taken a liking to the house’s moco… On the other hand, the young lady of the house… doesn’t know anything about it at all! How old are you? how old are you? Well, there’s one difference: I’m 14 years old and my coat looks nice. Is this a dog matchmaking? Huh! Is it 1 group? Wow, thank you very much! If it’s cold, please cook on the stove.I think it’s cold lol. There’s also a kotatsu.I’ve been here a few times, but I’ve been here 20 years ago, and I’ve been here 30 years ago… that’s how long it’s been! I first came to this place in earnest when I was a year old before the earthquake (last time), and I had just taken over the place when I came here… Even though I said I didn’t have my own taste in cooking yet, the food that was served to me was so delicious! I can still remember how they worked so hard to cook and serve the food. The water got too hot during the earthquake, and the temperature of the hot spring suddenly dropped… I was thinking about having people come in holding a hot water bottle…I was thinking about how I wanted to go in there holding a hot water bottle…LOL Now that I can heat the water a little bit, I somehow explain it to them by saying, “It’s hot water,” but (immediately after the earthquake) when I explain to customers, “It’s warming water, ” they say, “It’s not even hot!” I think it must have been a lot of trouble right after taking over from the previous generation . Hot water splashes (it’s a natural phenomenon), so it’s not just here, right? Did it get hotter… or on the contrary, it got even hotter at Nakanozawa Onsen, which is a problem… Is Nakanozawa Onsen gone? Nakanozawa Onsen, about 9km from here, is still alive and well. The last one that has disappeared is Yokomukai Onsen’s “Naka no Yu.” It was shaken by the last earthquake… It’s an old building… Hot spring inns are always fighting against the natural environment…It’s amazing how many inns have survived for hundreds of years.Moco seems restless.Takigawaya Inn with 60 rooms and capacity for more than 200 peopleExploration tourAs you enter from the first floor entrance, a large rock suddenly jumps into your eyes! It protrudes all the way to the second floor hallway, giving it maximum presence. To the left of the entrance is the kitchen, lobby, etc., and our room was “Homare” at the back. The area on the first floor alone is quite large. I think it will be a good exercise for Kenshiro-kun If you go to the back of this room, there is a hot springs downstairs (more on this later) After getting permission from the owner, I go to the second floor. Good luck Kenshiro. Men are pushy. It’s scary, dogs curl their tails when they don’t like it. Kenshiro! Good luck, say goodbye to Kenshiro and head to the second floor… it’s amazing that this inn is reserved for two people! There’s definitely a treasure in there!! If you look at it from here, the rock is amazing . It’s a modern-day person! Climb the stairs in front of the entrance and you’ll reach the center of the inn. From here, go to the left. There are rows of shoji rooms with a nice atmosphere, and they’re well kept. One room has been turned into a photo gallery and is open to the public. What time are the photos from the thatched roof era? Ah, read from the right. I can’t even read from the right, but there are a lot of materials left behind, including furniture and old practical items. It seems like they take good care of things. Mr. Isamu Gunji, the TV champion who won the “Hot Spring Connoisseur” title three times in a row. I’m sure Okuhachikuro Onsen’s specialty is that it’s easy to use and drinkable, making it a hot spring in Japan. The last time I came here with my family, I stayed at the back of the 2nd floor. There is a door…the toilet is down the stairs…it’s clean! This is a place where you can’t bring dogs. There’s so much snow, the first floor is still full. I wonder how many people can stay in a room like this? At its peak, there were more than 200 guests. From here, we’ll take you to the spa. I guess I’ve never been there . It looks like a hot spring inn. There’s a gas station that looks a bit like Osawa Onsen… I’ve never been to the same corridor around the area that people are posting about. This place is amazing! That’s good! I would like to stay here too… Hanamaki Onsenkyo Osawa Onsen The hot springs treatment area is also like this. No matter where you look, there is no dust. How is it maintained by just the two of you? It must be no mean feat to maintain this entire building. Even the floors have been thoroughly cleaned, and they’re really clean! I’ll visit you on the third floor as well. There ‘s also an old-fashioned hearth that has been preserved as it was in the past.It ‘s a really nice room… come on! Oooh, I was surprised lol! This is a bear, okay ? Don’t fall , now I’m going out to the front door. Amazing, I took a walk around everything… At dusk, the huge wooden building was dyed red. There must have been 200 hot spring bathers enjoying the time to their heart’s content. Right now, it’s just me, my wife, and our dog… “This is such a luxury!” I feel both happy and melancholy. The waterwheel that my predecessor built for “soba making” has been in operation for decades.Last time, the bath was only about body temperature, so it must have been a lot of trouble.I liked it even though it was warm like last time, but from what the wife said, it seems like not everyone is like me.I’m glad. -The hot spring water comes directly from the bottom of the bathtub. Occasionally, lukewarm water will come up from the bottom of the bathtub. The quality of the hot spring water is “simple hot spring,” but it has a slight metallic and oily smell (smells like petroleum). There is even a book that says, “Hidden hot springs praised by all hot spring connoisseurs.” There are luxurious ingredients that the two of us can prepare just for us , but the special feature is the simple local ingredients. There are rows of small bowls made with seasonal ingredients, and they are amazingly delicious! For sukiyaki, add the watercress and meat after the raw ingredients are cooked.I’ll bring you some tempura. It ‘s delicious! Hey It’s delicious ❤ Even though it’s a simple seasoning, the flavor is strong, and the aroma of the ingredients spreads as soon as you eat it. Why is it so delicious? The aroma is amazing. Everything… Oh, the bamboo shoots are delicious too , everything is delicious. Everything goes perfectly with alcohol and is only for me, but I feel like it goes well with rice. I was thinking, “Chirashi sushi” and this “Chirashi sushi with wasabi ” is filled with flower wasabi. This “Chirashi sushi with wasabi” is made from wasabi grown in the garden which is incredibly delicious, so that’s what I call “Chirashi sushi.” Recently, I’ve been addicted to wasabi greens. It’s so delicious that I forgot to take a photo of me eating it.The tempura food here is delicious !! Wasabi food report ! delicious! Now let me give you a sample! Yeah, the scent is… Tamatebako! Boooooo, I couldn’t stop using my chopsticks until I ran out of food. We both felt like our stomachs were going to explode lol.It was so delicious, how do you make that “kogomi”? Oh, you said that the “Dokukatsu” that you wanted to eat a bowl of was also called Kinpira. That ‘s right, the Dokatsu bland flavor that I got this morning had a really nice aroma and I thought it was delicious.Since we were the only customers, we were able to talk like this without worrying about the other customers. We had a good time talking for quite a long time, and it was fun. Meanwhile, Kenshiro continued to attack Moko with great force… Good luck! Kenshiro! Oh, did Moko just say hello with her nose? Kenshiro! It seems that most of the ingredients for Tatami Kakero are still provided by local people or at this inn. The food is prepared by someone who knows what place and season the food is delicious, so it’s bound to be delicious! We also bought a lot of wild vegetables on the way home. It’s delicious enough for me, but the food here is a little different.Kenshiro is my go-to (probably) Kenshiro is out of time Moko My wife fell asleep too… (I sleep after eating lol) It’s so quiet… (All I can hear is the ringing in my ears) Bukupukkuk When I was a child, I lived in Yokohama. When I came here, I was surprised to find such a pitch-black night. There were countless glowing dots in the sky that looked like holes made by a needle, and the sounds of insects filled the world. It was a great place. I want it to stay forever… Good night I had a good night’s sleep… I heard the birds saying, “I guess I was constipated.” I took a bath in the morning… Breakfast was delicious again! Cooked Kotake Mushrooms Kotake mushrooms are representative of high-quality mushrooms, and you said you just got them… The rice is delicious, isn’t it? It’s time to praise the mushrooms. Tamagoyaki (tasty as at a sushi restaurant). The garnish of fukinotou is amazing! (It hits me) Delicious! I can’t eat all of this.I’m leaving with a full stomach… Kenshiro-kun See you soon…I’m rooting for you Yokomuko Onsen Takikawaya Ryokan Address 2970 Shimonoyuko, Wakamiya, Inawashiro-cho, Yama-gun, Fukushima Prefecture TEL 0242-64-3211 Recently, it seems that day trips are sometimes taken, so it might be a good idea to call and make a reservation… How to Walk Japan
