Midwinter Laos_Thailand trip
Today is January 25th, the Lunar New Year holiday begins in Vientiane
. I arrived at Vientiane, Laos after work yesterday. This trip is from Laos to Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Luang Prabang, and
the Lunar New Year holiday, to Laos, which I really wanted to visit… Then, I will move to Thailand, go to Chiang Mai, and then go to Korea.
I plan to stay in Southeast Asia for about 8 days before returning for the first time in 10 years. I’ve been traveling around China for the first time in a while, and I’m looking forward to seeing what it will be like here. I’m thinking about renting an electric scooter to get around in Vientiane.
Laos Tip. You can drive a motorcycle in Laos with a car license (including an international license) without a license (not under 120cc) and a different type of small license. Laos tip because I don’t have a motorcycle license
. Electric bicycles and electric scooters without license plates can be driven without a license (however, even if it is legal, I am not sure that the police will not catch me). I looked on the Internet to rent an electric scooter without a license plate, and the first place I went to was something I saw on the Internet, and it had a license plate, and they took off the license plate that required a license plate, and now they are renting it out .
There’s no problem as long as you have a helmet. The place I went to doesn’t have electric scooters, but they said it’s okay as long as you wear a helmet. So now I’m renting an electric motorcycle and going. The first place I’m going to is That Luang Temple. I think it’s about 4.5km away from here. As I’m going , I’m attaching a camera to my body because I’m not good at mounting it on a motorcycle. We’ve arrived at That Luang Temple and are trying to go inside.
That Luang Temple That Luang is a golden temple that enshrines Buddha’s relics. It was built in 1566 when the capital was moved from Luang Prabang to Vientiane, but most of it was destroyed during wars with Myanmar, Thailand, and China in the 18th and 19th centuries. Yes, this is the That Luang Temple. They say it was originally made of 450 kg of gold, but most of Laos was burned down during the war or something like that, so they made it out of stone and only painted the outside with gold. Here, That Luang Temple is divided into three parts. First, the upper world is the heavenly world, in the middle is the human world , and the bottom is called the underworld. You can see a lying Buddha statue here, and this is right next to That Luang Temple. These temples and old buildings are like this. There are many places that can be seen together, so I take a look around them every once in a while. That Luang Temple is in the center, and there are original temples in four places, but they all disappeared due to war or something, and now there are two remaining, the south and the north. So, I think the place I just passed by is the south, and That Luang Temple is treated as sacred , and it is said that it has Buddha’s relics inside. That is why it is treated as sacred. I saw That Luang Temple, and the next place I will go to is called the Gate of Victory . Let’s go to Dongnimmun. The electric motorcycle doesn’t make any noise or vibration, so it seems easy to ride. Even at 30 km/h, it feels cool enough and has a sense of speed.
Nope!!! But there is no need to run faster, and
the feeling of speed is amazing if you travel slowly between 20 and 30 km!!! Since Vientiane is not very big, I think I can get around easily, and if I go to the Buddha Park later on, I think I will have to be careful because it is a bit far . It is very dusty and there is sunlight, so I covered it with a mask. I arrived at Patuxai Independence Gate and can see it in front now. They say I can climb up there. Patuxai Independence Gate is visible in front of me. This is Patuxai Independence Gate, and this place was used to be during the war of independence.
Patuxai Independence Gate The Laotian Arc de Triomphe called Patu (Gate) and Sai (Victory) was built by the Laotian monarchy to commemorate the victims of the independence struggle. The U.S. government provided cement for the construction of the airport, but instead of the airport, Patuxay was built, giving it the nickname ‘standing runway’. It is said to have been built to commemorate the deceased. I am looking up. I am looking at downtown Vientiane from the rooftop of Patuxay Independence Gate. Since I am up at such a high place and looking down, I can see the city clearly. I can see it and it feels open and cool.
The coolness I feel in Southeast Asia. The place I just took a picture of wasn’t the highest point. I took a picture earlier thinking it was the highest point down there, but there was space above so I went up. This is the other side of the fountain earlier, and the road is straight and open. How is it like this?
What does a planned city look like?? It’s blocked so you can’t go up there. A fountain is visible and I came out after looking at Patuxai Independence Gate. This is Independence Gate, which was built for the Lao people who sacrificed their lives during the war of independence against France. It has an interesting nickname, Standing Runway. They say they actually received cement aid from the United States to build an airport. They say they actually received cement aid from the United States to build an airport, but they built Patuxay Independence Gate instead of building an airport with the cement they received. That’s why they say it was nicknamed Standing Runway. The United States probably designated it and provided aid for it. Looking at the effort put into making the Independence Gate, it seems that the pride in independence from France and those who sacrificed their lives was strong in the spirit of honoring the person(s).
I am going to Sisaket Temple. I am entering Sisaket Temple. Wat Sisaket is the oldest temple in Vientiane and has various Buddha statues, so it is also called a Buddha museum. They are all Buddha statues inside the small holes. They are all different in shape and some are broken. If you look at this Buddha statue, one leg is raised and the right hand is lowered like this and it is supported by the left hand. I think I have seen this somewhere, but I saw that some place called a Buddhist sect said that the right hand is lowered like this. I just looked it up and the right hand lowered like this
means different things depending on the shape/position of the Buddha’s hand. It is said that Sakyamuni enlightened. It is said to be a hand shape that represents the moment when enlightenment was achieved. It seems to mean different things depending on the shape of the hand. This is the first time I noticed that the hand shapes of Buddha statues are different, but in Laos, there are three things that I have confirmed. If the right hand is down, it represents the moment when Shakyamuni attained enlightenment. If the right hand is raised like this, it represents the moment when Buddha attained enlightenment. If the hands are raised like this, it means getting rid of fear, and if the hands are lowered down, it means asking for rain for good farming. They say that each Buddha statue means something depending on the shape of the hands. This is the first time I realized that it was different. So I just saw Si Saket, and now I’m going to the Hoph Pra Keu Temple. Just at Si Saket, I was able to see a lot of amazing Buddha statues, and the shape of the hands of the Buddha statues meant something. It represents the moment when Buddha attained enlightenment. And this is said to be a Thai architectural style, and the current Ho Phra Kaew is said to have been built in the Laotian style, so it would be good to compare. In fact, I don’t know much about it , but I will go and see
it. There is a Hoph Pra Kaeu temple. I can’t explain how the architectural style is different, but it seems a little different. Here, the eyes of the Buddha statue have been dug out, and
the coffins that would have been decorated with gold or jewels have all been looted. This is a relic, the part that makes money, was dug up.
Even the eyes where the jewels were embedded are horribly gouged out. Here, the Buddha statue is holding up both hands. The lowering of the right hand was the way it was when Shakyamuni attained enlightenment, and raising both hands like this relieves fear. This is a Buddha statue with a hand in the shape of a hand to give. I am currently leaving to see the Ho Phra Kaeu Temple. This is where the Emerald Buddha statue was originally located, and it is said that Thailand took the statue when they were invaded by Thailand. And when I look at the remaining Buddha statues, I saw that there were Buddha statues without eyes or with melted eyes, but I did not see any melted ones, but I did see a Buddha statue with an eye missing. I think the Buddha statue with the eye missing was probably a relic or grave robbers who took things that could be used for money. I came to the Dogani Noodles restaurant in Laos and
tried to eat ‘Dogani Noodles’, a famous restaurant that many Koreans who come to Laos after Youth Over Flowers aired. Yes, now I took a shower and rested at the hotel and came out and headed to the Buddha Park. The Buddha Park is a little far from downtown Vientiane. It’s about 25km away, so I think it would take about 30 minutes to get there by motorcycle. Vientiane was actually in the city center. It was in the city center, but now it’s on the outskirts. I escaped, but as I left the outskirts, it felt a little different from downtown Vientiane. Of course, compared to Korea, it is rural, but riding a motorcycle this far out makes it feel a little more secluded? I think this road also feels like a country road, not a city road. So it’s good to wander around and see things, but I think it’s also good to take a motorcycle and take a spin around the city. And now that the Mekong River continues to flow, there are houses, restaurants, and bars around the river. I drove slowly for almost an hour for about 40 to 45 minutes, and after the sun set for about that long, I arrived at Buddha Park. The entrance to Buddha Park is like this. Buddha Park (Xiang Khuan) Xieng Khuan, also known as the ‘City of Souls’, is
a park that embodies the principles of Buddhism and Hinduism and is commonly called ‘Buddha Park’. Here, the reclining Buddha statue has 10 arms. Wow… It looks like there are a variety of Buddha statues. There is a Buddha statue at the top that looks a bit like a devil’s hand, but underneath it looks like a snake. There are a lot of snake Buddha statues, and if you go inside, it looks like the park has been well-maintained like a garden after the Buddha statues . Strangely, there seem to be a lot of Buddha statues with snakes, but is this related to Buddhism or folk religion? It looks like Cupid, but there is a very large Buddha statue next to it. The Buddha statue is a bit unusual, with three or four faces in front of it, and the Buddha statues held in front of each other are raised one by one. I think it is strange. I think that thing I saw when I first came in was probably a pumpkin
Buddha statue. I think it said something about the Pagoda Pumpkin, but it was on a very large pumpkin at the bottom, so I think I am done with going around the temple today. Starting from That Luang Temple, I saw Si Saket, Ho Phra Keu, and Dongnimmun Gate, and now I am at Buddha Park. I came here. I think I’ve done enough to see the temples today, and now I can go back and go to the Mekong River Night Market, which has a nice night view, for dinner, pop, have a beer, and finish the day. I ‘m on my way back, but the sun is starting to set little by little, so I can feel the wind a little cooler now. It was a little over 30 degrees during the day, but it was about 15 degrees at night. So, it’s a very cool and nice weather, so I think it’s the perfect time to go on a trip. The weather isn’t hot, and
there’s a huge solar electric scooter. I think it was really nice to get some cool air while riding. It was really
pretty. It was really pretty. When I went to Southeast Asia, I only thought about the hot sun and the heat, but since I came at a time like this, I think it was really nice to be able to feel the cool breeze and watch the sun set. Can you see the sun setting in front of me? The really big sun is going down over there and the battery is low on the motorcycle, so I have to eat dinner and have a beer at night, so I go and return the motorcycle and now I’m going to come back. I only have one battery left on the motorcycle right now,
huh??? The speed isn’t going up. I’m going at about 20 km/h right now, but no matter how hard I pull, it doesn’t go faster than 25 km/h,
huh? huh??? I’m running slowly because I’m afraid the battery will die. I’m a little anxious. As I was passing by, I saw a place selling grilled fish. I thought I saw it somewhere and it was delicious, so I bought it here to try it. I’m renting a motorbike right next to it, so I think I can eat it and have a beer. Grilled fish The fish was served. I think this is probably freshwater fish. I’ll give it a try. I just ate fish and a bottle of beer, but the fish didn’t suit my taste, so I ate a little bit. Here in Laos, I see that China has an economic and cultural influence on Laos. I think it’s expanded a lot. There are a lot of signs in Chinese, and there are quite a few Laotians who know how to speak Chinese. They say there are a lot of Korean tourists, but the reason you see them more than Korean tourists is that you see a lot of Chinese tourists, a lot of Western friends, and you often see a lot of Koreans. But I think Koreans probably go to Luang Prabang or Vang Vieng rather than Vientiane. I washed up and changed my clothes to feel refreshed . It’s refreshing and I’ve now gone to check out the Mekong River night market. If there’s a night market in every city, I’ll go there once to see what’s being sold and the atmosphere. If I need something to snack on, I ‘ll grab some snacks and walk around. As I walk out, I see the night market in front of me. Cell phone cases, clothes, and children’s toys. But selling thick hoodies like this in this hot country is probably because we’re not used to it. But they have all the prices written down in front so you can’t get scammed like that here . Of course, here. I’ll have to bargain, but the price won’t be higher than that, so I’m looking around the Mekong River Night Market , and it seems like most of them have clothes, cell phone cases, and most bags and wallets . In front of me, I see a sign that says Laos Food Festival. I’m going to go there. I ‘ll end the first day of my trip while listening to relaxing music… The night life in Vientiane seems quite fancy. Because of the distance, this night street seems to be a bit crowded. January 26th is the second day after spending a day in Vientiane yesterday. It is 6:40 am, but I left a little early to catch the 8 a.m. train from Vientiane to Vang Vieng, so I am waiting for the car. Now let’s go to Vang Vieng. Laos & Thailand Activity Heaven ep2 A place where you can see various Buddha statues and temples. Vang Vieng, which I only saw on TV. Paragliding, paramotor! There are also hot air balloons and paramotors. First experience in Laos, an activity paradise!!! Vientiane
This is my second day after spending a day in Vientiane . It’s 6:40 now, and I’m waiting for the car because I left a little early to catch the 8 a.m. train from Vientiane to Vang Vieng . I’m calling a car and going now. In China, an app called โ€˜Tidi ๆปดๆปดโ€™ is used. An app called โ€˜InDriveโ€™ is used a lot here. So, yesterday I rode an electric motorcycle all day , and at night, and now in the morning, I call a taxi through InDrive to get around comfortably. I arrived at Vientiane Train Station and there were a lot of people standing in line in front. Since China installed the train in Vientiane, it can be seen as almost identical to the Chinese system. From the moment you enter the entrance, you have to check your baggage and ID before entering the train station, so I think there may be a lot of waiting in line here. It says that it goes from ‘Wanxiang’ to ‘Kunming’ in Vientiane to Kunming in China . Since China built a train station in Laos, it has a Chinese system, and even inside the train station, there seem to be three languages : Chinese, English, and Laotian. Arrived at Vang Vieng train station.
Vang Vieng I came to Vang Vieng, rented an electric motorcycle and went ziplining. There’s a mountain in front of me, and I think the scenery is really nice. The weather seems to be a bit unfavorable, so it’s cloudy so you may not be able to see well, but the road follows the mountain in front and the scenery is really nice. I am currently driving on a dirt road, but
suddenly there is a narrow dirt road?? Because it was full of rocks and dirt, I got a lot of shock from the motorcycle,
so at this point… I actually took the wrong route… I’m going slowly. I’m currently doing kayaking and zip lining, but when I arrived, I took a wrong turn on the way and got lost for a while . I think I ended up wandering for over 10 minutes. So now they say they will wait a bit and then leave together, so let’s go ziplining and kayaking. We equipped ourselves with equipment to do ziplining. Oh, it’s hard.
They said I only had to go up for 10 minutes, but it seemed like I had to go up for 30 minutes… Wow, it’s hard. My first time trying a zipline!! Filming failed with rope and safety equipment ใ…  [Guide: OK! Go!] Failed this time… Everyone failed again ใ…  The first zipline video will be the next opportunity… [Guide: On the contrary]
A guide who can speak Korean, which is necessary because there are a lot of Korean tourists [Guide: Left and right] [Guide: Jump] [ Guide : Okay] [Guide: Okay, go go go ] Oh, it looks like only the swing bridge was filmed here on the swing bridge zip line . Jump!! [Guide: Stand up Stand up] [Guide: Okay, sit down] [Guide: Ready] [Guide: Sit down] The last shot also failed!! Even if someone else comes down… Kayaking
now says kayaking is giving priority to senior citizens. I’m
a solo traveler. They paired me up with someone else so I can ride with them. They won’t give me a paddle . Are you coming alone? Yes ah… where are these people???
Back Back Back Boat Back Boat Back Kayaking while enjoying the scenery while flowing gently. Sometimes you can feel the slight current of the water… Stones on the bottom? The sound of the kayak hitting the rocks… Even when you can only feel the slightest current, the water is coming into the boat… I think that’s what I’m feeling in the middle right now. The water is cold on my butt now… I now
have a common conversation with travelers when I meet them in Vang Vieng … We share our travel routes with each other
as we plan to go from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang and then on to Thailand ! I came up from Luang Prabang. I just arrived in Vang Vieng today. Did you arrive in Vang Vieng today? Yes, I came in by train in the morning . Did you book a tour as soon as you arrived? As soon as I arrived, I just rented a motorcycle and came to find it . It’s fast. This
is why it can capsize . The water
isn’t deep and the current is moderate … Oh ,
they say
sometimes guides intentionally capsize the boat.
In the winter, Southeast Asia is mostly cool and cool except for midday.. The weather is cool and cool,
so it’s really good for traveling. Yes , I think it’s cool and good now . It’s time to finish kayaking. Oh, it’s cool. The scenery was nice, but the air was a bit bad, and it’s cloudy, so it’s disappointing… Oh, I guess that’s the end. Babies are playing in the water. Children (laughter) Laotian Sabaidi (Hello) Oh, kayaking is over now. There are hot air balloons and paramotors, too. The sky at sunset, hot air balloons and paramotors flying… Finally! My first paramotor experience! take-off!! take-off!! (I can’t hear anything at all due to the noise of the paramotor) I’m riding a paramotor, but it’s so loud that I can’t hear any sound. The scenery is really good. The sunrise and sunset can be seen while flying in the sky . The best time to ride a paramotor is a bit cloudy, but the sunset is starting to show in the distance. The sun is setting in the middle of the mountains. Now, I’ve turned around to the landing point, and there are people riding boats under Vang Vieng, which can be seen at a glance. Activities and backpacking paradise, Vang Vieng is now ready for landing!! Takeoff and landing are the most thrilling. I went down on the paramotor. It was cool and really good. It was noisy, but it was cool and good so I had a good time. I can’t believe I went up like that before!! I should have taken a good video ใ…  I asked the hostel owner earlier where the local restaurant was, and he said that if you cross the river and go in front, you can eat local food on the riverside. So I’m crossing the bridge, but I don’t think this bridge is very reliable . There is a restaurant on the riverside, and the atmosphere looks really good! It’s a skewer restaurant rather than a local restaurant, so I think it’s good for a late-night snack. I think I’ll have to go back and look for it for dinner and come back later. I came here for dinner. It’s called Sindat, and it allows you to grill shabu-shabu, pork belly (meat), and seafood, so I think you can eat two things at once. I went out after dinner and ate a lot. I didn’t eat properly today, so I ate a lot, so I ate and drank. It cost 310,000 kip in Korean money. 20,000 won, 1,000 won? I think the weather is not hot right now, but it’s a bit cool and cool. However, as I was grilling meat in front of the fire, I sweated a lot and it almost felt like I took a shower, so I need to go and wash up. On the way to the Blue Lagoon,
I started passing through the unpaved road, so I put on a mask. It looks like there are some unpaved roads, and the road is getting very bumpy. Laos & Thailand activity heaven ep3 Blue Lagoon 1, 2, 3 & Nam Xai Observatory Diving!!! Diving again!!! Rope Swing!! Rope Swing!! at Blue Lagoon 3 Zipline!! I’m heading to Vang Vieng Blue Lagoon. It’s a little after 7 o’clock in the morning now. There might be a lot of people at the Blue Lagoon, so we left a little early.
Start at 7 am!! I left early to take a look around when there were no people around, and the buggy went faster than I expected . I’m not sure if it was because it was a paved road, but it seemed to go well. And now in the morning in Laos, the weather is so cool and nice that it feels a little chilly. I’m going past the bridge too. I plan to visit Blue Lagoon 1, 2, and 3 . The first place we go is Blue Lagoon 1. Since Blue Lagoon 1 is the most crowded and largest, I will go there early, see Blue Lagoon 1, and then stop by Blue Lagoon 3, which is said to be the best for playing. I plan to take a picture of Blue Lagoon 2 at the end. After seeing Blue Lagoon 1, 2, and 3, I will go up to Namsai Observatory. I plan to go up to the observatory and take a look around Vang Vieng. It’s on the way to the Blue Lagoon, and the Mekong River flows next to it, so the scenery is nice. Hot air balloons are flying in the sky right now, and a lot of people ride these hot
air balloons and paramotors in the morning and evening to watch the sunrise and sunset . I put my mask up because the road was getting very bumpy and we were probably going to hit a dirt road soon . I arrived at Blue Lagoon 1 because I thought it would be a bit dusty, and when I came in, I saw that Blue Lagoon 1 starts at 7:30. It’s 7:40 now. Maybe I was the first to come. The Blue Lagoon is visible.
Blue Lagoon 1 I heard there was a swing there and there were fish living in the water. The fish is really big. There are huge fish living inside. Installing camera… swimming to the other side?? Instead of bouncing around, warm up!! Swim alone in the blue lagoon with no one around !! Finally, onto the diving board… I’m scared… I’m scared!!! Diving succeeded on the second attempt!!! Adjust the camera angle again and one more time!!! I can’t hear any sound due to the camera’s waterproof case,
but I have no idea! (@#$%^@#$%*!) Run with the camera!
challenge!!! At this time, I drank some water, and the lens fell out… My expression was a bit uncomfortable… I had just taken off my swimming goggles while diving , and it seemed like the lens on one of my eyes was missing. I couldn’t find it, but my eye felt uncomfortable, so I looked back and saw that it was inside. But it was all crushed now, and I was thinking of putting it in just in case, but I dropped it again and lost it. The lens is only in the right side, so I’m thinking of eating a sandwich and going to Blue Lagoon 3 for breakfast . Diving in the Blue Lagoon. Swim goggles? (Lens!!) Since I was missing it, I took a break and had breakfast. I bought cabbage to feed the fish. I was in Blue Lagoon 1 for about an hour and am heading to Blue Lagoon 3. I bought a ticket for Blue Lagoon 3 and came in. It says that if you go about 300m further, you will reach Blue Lagoon 3. I just went and ran once in
Blue Lagoon 3, but I didn’t turn on my camera. I’ll go for another run with my camera. Blue Lagoon 1 is a bit scary because it’s a dive, but this is it. It’s really more fun than scary Rope Swing at Blue Lagoon 3 Enjoying Blue Lagoon 3 alone Comfort,,, and freedom… Charter… Now, people are arriving one by one ! Ride again! Keep riding!! Huh??? LOL Are you so embarrassed that you have to run again? I just went to Blue Lagoon 3. I went to Blue Lagoon 1 and 3 this morning and am now going to Blue Lagoon 2. They said that Blue Lagoon 2 doesn’t have many play equipment and is just about playing in the water. I decided to just lie down and rest, so I took it with me and headed out to look around for a while . Right now, I think I’ll be able to rent a buggy for about 6 hours and go long enough, so I don’t think I need to extend the time. So, I think I can bring this and rent an electric motorcycle for a day and ride the electric motorcycle until tomorrow until I go to Luang Prabang . Blue Lagoon 2
We arrived at Blue Lagoon 2. I started with Blue Lagoon 1 and went in that order: 1, 3, and 2. After seeing all 3 places, I am now heading back to return the buggy. Earlier in the morning there were no cars or buggies, but now there are a lot of cars and buggies, so I am driving carefully. But since the weather is getting warmer, I think it would be better to go swimming now, but if you want to be without people, it would be better to come a little early. Let’s have some snacks and then head towards Namsai. This is the sandwich you eat in Laos. The road to Nam Xai Observatory…
I think the road to Nam Xai Observatory is a bit steep and difficult. In front of me is a Chinese friend who came with me while riding a motorcycle . The road is a bit rough, but I had to wear slippers so I had a hard time… Nam Xai Observatory
I came to Nam Xai Observatory and I felt like I was going to die . I went up to Nam Xai Observatory. This is the 3rd day in Vang Vieng, the most famous Sakura bar in Vang Vieng. Today, I will stay in Vang Vieng from morning to lunch and then take the train to Luang Purabang in the afternoon. Tam Tram Cave
I arrived at Tam Tram Cave and went to buy a ticket. I’m crossing the bridge to go to Tam Tram Cave, and it’s made entirely of wood, so it looks like it might collapse at some point… I’m crossing the wooden bridge, but the water isn’t deep, so I don’t think it’ll be dangerous or anything like that. I thought the river here would be muddy, but it seems to be so clean that you can see the inside. Still , I think the path is well-made, making it a good place to take a walk . I think I have to go up those stairs. Caves are supposed to be cool, but right now, outside of Laos, the shade is so cool that I don’t think the caves feel cooler. This is the end. The end of the cave. It is divided into two branches, so one side leads to the outside of the cave to see the scenery outside, and the other side has the end of the cave like this. Now I went into the cave and came out and sat down to rest for a while. After finishing my schedule in Vang Vieng, I arrived at the train station to go from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang. The train leaves at about 2:30, and the time is now about 1:40, so there’s about 1 hour,,, 50 minutes left. Since there’s about 50 minutes left, I think I’ll just have to go in and complete the procedures. I am entering the Bangbi train station to go to Luang Prabang . Laos & Thailand Activity Heaven EP4 Phousi Mountain and Kuang Si Waterfall If you enter text, it will appear responsively
If you enter text, it will appear responsively I came to the train station to go to Luang Prabang from Bangbi. The train to Luang Prabang is arriving. Luang Prabang is said to be a UNESCO-registered city, so seeing the city itself would be a trip. So, I’m going to go and see what kind of place it is and how the entire city was selected as a World Cultural Heritage site . The capital of Laos is Vientiane, but when Laos was first created, the capital was called Luang Prabang. I think it retains its old appearance. apartment? The driver was listening to a song, and a familiar song was playing. The place I went to earlier wasn’t what I was looking for, so I came here now. Going up Mount Phousi. I’m walking up the stairs again today… I think it says I’ve climbed 138 stairs so far and have 190 more to go. Wow… there are so many people gathered here to watch the sunset
. January 28th, January 28th, Lunar Calendar… Sunset on the last day of the 24th year of the lunar calendar… This year, the last day… There were so many people that I somehow managed to take a picture from behind. But I think it was really nice because the sun was so close and looked big. I came down after seeing Mount Phousi. But when you come down, you have to come down to the other side of the mountain, turn around, and go back to the place before. There are motorcycles there, and the night market is over there. It’s like a square now, and it’s all about food. People can sit in front and eat, and there are a lot of people. I took a wrong turn earlier, and this place was selling food all the time. I’ll give it a try here, and now I think I’ll just have something to eat. I’m waiting to eat skewers here for dinner. I’m so busy that I can’t even calculate it right now. After arriving at Luwangpurabang, I watched the sunset at Mount Phousi, had dinner,
and took a quiet drive
around while riding a motorcycle. freedom? Luwangpurang,
a place where you can feel at ease, seems to have a more secluded feel than Vang Vieng or Vientiane. I went out a little bit from the tourist street at night, and now there aren’t a lot of cars, so I think it’s nice to be able to walk, jog, and walk around quietly while looking at the scenery. And the weather is cool and nice enough to wear long sleeves right now. So it seems like really good weather for traveling. A place that was really nice for a walk. A place where I wanted to come out every evening and take a quiet walk . Now, I am riding a motorcycle and an electric motorcycle along the river. (Before) I ate in a crowded market. Since I ate in a crowded market,
I think it would be nice to come and eat in a quiet place like this tomorrow. When traveling to Southeast Asia, I think it’s really convenient to rent a motorcycle. I highly recommend a motorcycle when traveling in Southeast Asia because it gives me the feeling of traveling freely and it is very comfortable to go anywhere on this bike. I arrived in Luang Prabang yesterday and started my second day. So, I’m going to go to Kuang Si Falls today and then visit the famous places in the old town in the afternoon, but the motorcycle I rented can only travel 40km, so it’s not enough to go to Kuang Si Falls and back. But I’ll try to go first, and if I decide it doesn’t work out on the way, I’ll come back and if I can, I’ll try to find a place where I can recharge when I get there. Now I’m riding a motorcycle to Kuang Si Falls. It’s very cool and the weather is pleasant. Although the air is a bit cloudy, the temperature is perfect for traveling. It’s so nice this morning that I’m running with a cool and refreshing feeling. This is also the road to Kuang Si Falls, and I think the road is really pretty. It feels like I’m driving quietly down a very quiet country road. Kuang Si Falls was free and refreshing. It was about 29 km away from the accommodation to Kuang Si Falls, but now there were about 4 km left. The battery is said to have half left, so I think it will last long enough to get there, and it looks really pretty here. There’s also a cafe and restaurant here , and wow… the road itself is so pretty. Hello. Can I recharge the battery? battery? (How much does it cost to charge the battery?)
I don’t understand at all… (50,000 kip) (Battery costs 50,000 kip) OK This is the motorcycle that is with me today, an electric motorcycle. Fortunately, there is a place here where you can charge it. So I guess I just have to pay and recharge it. I went to a place to charge the electric car and was charging my motorcycle. I think I could go inside and look at the waterfall while the motorcycle was charging . We arrived at the entrance to Kuang Si Falls and entered. The weather is so cold right now that it feels chilly… Should I have worn long sleeves? Anyway, I think it’s cool and nice. There’s a bear up there and sitting down. This is the first water that comes out after entering Kuang Si Falls, and you can enter the waterfall here. It says that people who can swim can go in, so there are people who went in. It’s cold right now, so I think it’s okay to just watch. Kuang Si Falls is visible. The color of the water is very pretty and I can hear the cool sound of water falling, so I think it matches the weather very well. I just briefly dipped my feet in the water. It was very refreshing. This is the second waterfall. There are people in the water here, and there are actually a lot of people outside, but the water is cold and the weather is chilly, so I don’t think many people have gone inside. I’m walking forward again while listening to the sound of water. I think there’s a waterfall in front of me too. There’s a waterfall in front of me , as if I’m in the jungle. This is the third waterfall I came to, and the color of the water here seems to be pretty. Unlike other places, it is written that swimming is prohibited here. No swimming is allowed. There is a waterfall behind you. You can come closer and see the waterfall that you saw from afar earlier , and wow, it is cool. I think the main waterfall is in front. There are a lot of people and the waterfall is big, so I think the main waterfall is in front. We finally arrived at the main waterfall of Kuang Si Falls . We are all there. We are going up from here to there. It is a bit of a fraud, but when it was written there earlier, you can also see the valley water . It was a picture, but it’s a scam. But just in case, let’s go further. What did you do with this? It’s a viewpoint I’m just looking down from the top of the mountain, but I can see the waterfall slightly down there. If I go that way, it’s not the viewpoint, but actually, I have to go that way . After coming down from the viewpoint, there’s another road up there, so I’m going there. I thought I might be able to see the waterfall from up there. Actually, I didn’t have to go up there . They just gave me a drink, so I guess I’ll just change it and have a drink. They’ve also made it possible to play in the water here. I think this is the highest point of the waterfall, but they made it so you can climb up to the railing so you can see it slightly to the side. I placed the waterfall at a slightly more angle so that I can see the water. I feel like I’ve seen all of Kuang Si Falls, so I’m going to go down again. The observatory was built through a tree in the middle and on top of that tree. How was this made? I’m going down the same way I came up earlier. I think there were more stairs on the way up than I thought. I ‘ve been going down for a while and I’m still going down. I’m going down Kuang Si Falls and it’s about 11:30 now. The weather is starting to get a little warmer, so there are more people now. So when I came in the morning, I felt a bit chilly, but now it’s a little hot. If you come in the winter and want to play in the water, it would be better to come around lunch time even if there are a lot of people . That’s not for water play. I’m not going to do it and just watch. Then I think it would be better to come early in the morning when there are no people. I came down to Gwangsim Falls. The color of the water was good and the amount of water was good, so it was cool and I think it was a good trip. Maybe it would have been hot if I came later, but I think it was a good idea to come early in the morning. Now, I’m going back and I heard that there is a restaurant with a pretty view. It ‘s a place that a lot of Koreans go to, but I think I should hurry and go and have a meal. I saw a rice farm here, so they planted rice, built a coffee hut inside, and had a meal. I did it. I think a lot of travelers pass by and stop by . I went to Gwangsim Falls, had lunch , and went to the hotel to take a break, but I was so tired that I fell asleep. It’s my last night in Luang Prabang . I’m going to Thailand for lunch tomorrow, but before that, I came here for dinner. I put meat on it and put vegetables in the broth. Shin Dat, who eats shabu-shabu and meat together, is sitting on the terrace on the second floor alone and having dinner. It was a bit crowded with travelers at night, and while I was crossing the night market earlier, a Korean kid called my phone number because he lost his mother. I’m looking for it and going again. As it’s 9 p.m., everything is closed except for a few key places in the center. So, you can say that this place usually closes around 9 p.m. As I was coming out of the night market, I felt bad about going in, so I came here for a late-night snack. Yesterday, there were a lot of things to eat here , but there was a road, and there was a plaza and a narrow road. I ate on the narrow street yesterday, and I’m going to eat at the plaza today. It’s 5:30 a.m. The reason I’m leaving so early this morning is from Luang Prabang. To go see the famous mendicant procession. Laos & Thailand EP5 World Cultural Heritage_Luang Prabang Mendicant Procession, Temples, and Buddha Statues
January 30th is the last day in Luang Prabang. The time is now 5:30 in the morning. The reason for leaving so early this morning is to go to Luang Prabang to see the alms-baby procession, a famous Buddhist ceremony. I also settled down here for a while. I sat on the chair on the left and bought rice and snacks in front of me. These are the rice and snacks I prepared (purchased) this time during the alms-baby procession. Local people will bring their own, but travelers can simply purchase it here. The alms-baby procession that made me feel a sense of awe… It is said that the order of the monks during the alms-bath procession is according to their seniority and years of practice. First of all, I finished offering alms-baths , and now I came to the front, finished the alms-bath procession, and went to the morning market. Even though they sell the same products, the morning market feels a bit different. It’s 6:17 and the market has already started, and I think they sell fruits, edibles, noodles, etc. We arrived at a temple called Wat Visunnarat.
Wat Visunnarath is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Luang Prabang. It represents the early form of Buddhism and was a palace temple. It also symbolizes the war and reconstruction that Laos has experienced. They say this is a very old temple built in the 1500s . This is Wat Visunnarat’s most representative stupa, a place to store royal treasures during the early dynasty. Over time, it was converted to a religious purpose, and is now
called the Subak Stupa, a symbol that prays for peace and stability in the kingdom. It is called watermelon stupa because the top is round and resembles a watermelon . I bought an entrance ticket now and entered Wat Wisunnarat. There really seem to be a variety of Buddha statues here , as well as splendid Buddha statues typical of royal palace temples in the past . There seem to be a variety of Buddha statues. If you look at the hand shapes we saw at that time, we heard that these were meant to help us escape from fear or something like that, and that the Buddha statues you see here with their hands down were meant to pray for rain. I heard it was something like praying for rain. So many Buddha statues… The first temple I visited today was Wat Wisunnarat . It was built in the 1500s and was reportedly destroyed by China around the 1880s. This is a place that has been restored. It was once a Buddhist temple in the royal palace , and when you see it in front, it looks like a watermelon and is called a watermelon stupa. The building has a long history and is said to be one of the representative temples in Luang Prabang. So, if you think about why Luang Prabang became the world’s UNESCO, the reason why there are so many temples is that the capital of Laos is not Vientiane, but the original capital was Luang Prabang, and at that time, many Buddhist temples and the like were built, so the history and culture were well preserved. In fact, there are mendicant parades in many places, but they say that in places like Vientiane they happen once on a regular basis, and in Luang Prabang they happen every day. So, I think Luang Prabang is a place where its history and culture are still well preserved. I went to Wat Wisunnarat, and now I’m going to leave again and go to a temple called Wat Xieng Thong. Now we are on our way to Wat Xieng Thong Temple. There was a large door on the right, which was the exit, and the entrance was said to be through this small road. Before going in, let me briefly explain that Wat Xieng Thong Temple is famous for its architecture, as a representative building in Laos, and also for the murals behind the building. So, I don’t know what the characteristics of the architecture and murals are, but I’m going to guess what I saw on the Internet and go there. Google Maps showed me the exit, but the exit and both sides are blocked, so I turn half way and think the entrance is on the other side. I asked and asked, so I’m heading back. We find the entrance and enter Wat Xieng Thong Temple. Looking at the roof of the building, I saw on the Internet
that Wat Xiengthong is the most important and beautiful Buddhist temple in Luang Prabang. It is called the “Temple of the Golden City” and is famous for its red glass mosaic mural called “Water of Life.” When I read the description, it said that it was lowered all the way down like this, but now that I look there, it is like that. It is now hanging down like a tree branch, and it is said to symbolize humility and protection, which is a characteristic of Laos architecture. Another important feature is that it is golden, which means prosperity. It is golden from the beginning . It seems like there are emeralds everywhere in the building. What you see here is a mural of the Tree of
Life. Tree of life It is said that a sacred tree grew in Luang Prabang, and the city developed around it. It is said that the Tree of Life was a being of protection and prosperity, and a temple was built to contain its spirit. This is the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is a tree of life made with a mosaic made of emeralds. It is said that in the past, this city grew around the Tree of Life, and this temple was built to commemorate the Tree of Life . It is said that the Tree of Life symbolizes prosperity and prosperity. Huge numbers of reclining Buddha statues that are often seen in Laos and Thailand … There is a legend in this city that the city developed around the Tree of Life, and to commemorate that, Wat Xieng Thong Temple was built, so this temple is more ornate than other places with gold and emeralds to symbolize prosperity . So, if you go behind the temple, you can see the tree of life made with emerald mosaics. The place we arrived this time was Wat Mai Temple.
Wat Mai Temple is one of the most magnificent temples in Luang Prabang, meaning “Golden New Temple”. During the New Year festival, Pi Mai, this is where the Prabang Buddha statue is displayed and you can experience traditional ceremonies. This Wat Mai temple is a very large temple and seems to be famous for its size. We arrived at Wat Mai temple and decided to go inside. The exterior decoration of the building is also very ornate in gold. The characteristic of this temple seems to be that it is grand, large, and ornate. This is the Luang Prabang International Airport in Luang Prabang, Laos. I am on my way to take a flight from Luang Prabang, Laos to Chiang Mai. Probably because the airport is small, small planes come in and there are only a few times a day. Propeller plane arrived at Chiang Mai Airport. Laos & Thailand EP6 Chiang Rai Temple White Blue Black And,,, alcohol. The day I canโ€™t drink..!!
Today is the 31st, the second day after coming to Chiang Ma and sleeping for a day. Today, I came to the bus terminal early in the morning to go to Chiang Rai. Please give me some coffee. It’s been a while since I started a day with a cup of coffee. It’s strong and good, isn’t it? I’m lining up to get on the bus. It’s a VIP bus, so it seems like there are plenty of seats. It’s
a clean, wide-seat bus. When I get on the bus, there’s water, snacks, and wet tissues. There’s a cup to put in, and there’s a TV in front. Like our country’s premium buses, 3 people can sit in a row. The bus is now leaving and leaving the terminal. We’ve arrived in Chiang Rai
. Chiang Rai is a city located in northern Thailand. It’s a historic city that King Mengrai founded in 1262 as the first capital of the Lanna Kingdom. One of the centers of the ‘Golden Triangle’ city, a beautiful place that combines northern culture and mountainous terrain. The one we took was the green bus in front of me. Most of the foreigners are riding it, and the locals ride these buses.
The buses that foreigners and locals ride are very different. The buses are completely different, so the price difference seems to be a lot. It’s 11:10 and I bought a ticket to go back by the 3 o’clock bus. So I think I have about 3 and a half hours to spare. I think I need to go around and see it. It’s in front of the White House, but there’s a huge line.
White House was designed by Thailand’s famous contemporary artist ‘Chao Kr’. The exterior of the temple is decorated in white. This symbolizes the cleanliness and purity of Buddhist temples. I think I’ll have to go quickly and get a ticket, and there’s a White House in front of me. People are lining up to get in, but
it seems like a lot of Chinese tourists are passing by quickly due to the Chinese New Year holiday . The lines are disappearing quickly. I guess the White House, Blue House, and Black House are all there. Since they were all built recently, I think it would be more correct to view them as architectural and artistic rather than historical. They are telling us to go quickly so that we can pass by quickly so as not to stand in the middle of the devil’s fingernail sculpture symbolizing the ‘gates of hell’. They didn’t allow us to take pictures inside the pure white, gorgeous building, so we took a quick look and went back outside. It looks like it would be good for a wedding, right?? I went outside and I’m going to take a look around a little more. It’s hot and there are a lot of people. I’ve seen the White House now and I’m trying to move to the Black House. There’s a 3-hour difference today, but it’s already 1:20 and I’m heading to the Black House. It will take almost 40 minutes, so I think I have about 2 and a half hours left to see the Black House , go to Blue, and then get to the bus stop. I think I’m running out of time. I arrived at the Black House
. Black House is an artistic space created by modern artist ‘Herre Paillon’. It is an artistic space that explores the relationship between tradition and modernity, nature and humans by reinterpreting ancient myths and traditional symbols. I arrived at the Black House , but there aren’t many people, maybe because it’s lunch time. There are hardly any people at the entrance. There are buildings here, but there
are also many buildings gathered together, and a lot of art pieces are on display. Since it is mainly a museum, it would be nice to look at the museum and see how each building is made . There are chairs lined up like chairs for meetings . I think the building is really beautifully made. Inside the building, all of these are works of art. Artworks lined up under the building… Let’s take a look at what this building looks like from the front. If the buildings in Laos give a feeling of calm and tranquility, do the buildings in Thailand feel aggressive? Intense feeling? I think it has that kind of feeling. This is also pretty. A magic castle? A witch’s castle? The same feeling… Works of art placed one by one on wooden pillars… If this was just a village and people lived there, it would have been a very cool village. If this was just a village, it would have been a very cool village. So, if this was really just a village, it would be like a World Cultural Heritage site… The building has an aggressive and strong feel, but the color is also black and it is very pretty. If you look at it this way, it seems like they added animal skulls and other things as decorations to give it more of an impression. It is made at an angle. The White House is a gorgeous building that you can see as you pass by. If you think about it, the Black House is really cool, but it seems to have a charm that makes you look back carefully. We arrived at the Blue Temple, the Blue House.
A work that expresses the concept of the ‘flame of immortality’ with an intense blue exterior and ornate gold decoration. A place where you can feel divinity and beauty at the same time by combining the tradition and artistic expression of modern Thai Buddhism. It is painted in blue from the entrance . I forgot to put on my shoes and tried to go in… Fortunately, I turned around and took my shoes off… This is the inside of the blue line. It is different from the pure white and black. The splendor of the feeling… This is the view from the other side of the blue temple. If you turn around, there is a pagoda.
Did you want to show the splendor of the combination of blue and gold? White, blue, black. I’ve been to all the temples. These three are only white and blue temples, and black is said to be a museum and a space to store art. So white symbolizes a bit of heaven, and blue is a modern temple with a blue dragon , meaning a space where dragons run around and play. Lastly, black is the place that impressed me the most, but it ‘s not actually a temple. You can think of this as a museum and art gallery. Black feels a bit like hell in contrast to heaven, right? So I looked at white and then black , and the feeling at that time was very strong and the buildings were very aggressive and felt that way. Now white has something bright and heavenly and that kind of feeling. Black is a bit dark, so I visited all three temples, and when I finished looking around, it is now 2:40. The departure time is 3 o’clock, so I’m going to go straight to the terminal and take the car back to Chiang Mai. I haven’t even eaten a single meal today, so I’m wandering around because I’m pressed for time, but I personally think the black house is the coolest. I think it was good. The building is so grand and gives off such a strong feeling that I think it may be a reflection of my low understanding of works of art, which I can easily feel. We have now arrived at the Chiang Rai Bus Terminal. I think I took the bus number 7 or 8, so I thought it was here
, but the bus is a bit strange??? It wasn’t numbers 7 and 8 , but numbers 13 and 14. This is the local bus , and over there, 13 and 14 are the new buses. I arrived by bus from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai. The time is now 6:44.
It’s 7 hours on the bus that day… 3 hours of sightseeing?? It took about 3 hours and 50 minutes. I’m going to go to my accommodation, wash up, come out, have some dinner around, and
I haven’t eaten yet. I’m going to try this place. I came to this restaurant called Ellis Restaurant
because it had good ratings. It turned out that there were Korean-speaking employees, and I was lucky enough to find a table right away after waiting for a long time.
When they found out I was a Korean customer, kimchi was also served… The first thing served was mango and rice . I’m not sure if rice and mango go well, but I’ll try it first. The second dish was served. I ordered two of these because I heard that seafood kausoi is famous. I ordered two and the portions were too
large, but I ate them all… When I travel, I usually have a beer when I go out to eat, but today I had a coke without a beer and it was so noisy that I stopped talking… Thailand, where the fighting games are held, is a Buddhist country , so there are four days a year when you can’t drink alcohol during religious events
, but it’s more than four times… Actually, today was one of those days. It’s not, but it’s election day , so if you walk around on the street like this, people’s faces are like putting up election posters. Today is election day, so they say you can’t drink alcohol starting at 7pm tonight, and sometime the next day. That’s right, they said that no restaurants or bars will sell alcohol today
, so when you look at convenience stores and restaurants, the alcohol refrigerators are locked. We had a coke for dinner. Now, I’m walking towards the night market, digesting it, but they don’t really sell alcohol. I think it would be fun to take a look while passing by. I’m going into this place where there is a night market. It’s a very crowded night market, but since it doesn’t sell alcohol, there are no people.
For travelers, the nightlife without alcohol… is empty. I just went to the night market yesterday and looked around the night market where there was a place for drinking and dancing, and I still don’t drink alcohol there. It’s probably right to not drink alcohol in official places. If you look on the Internet, you can’t help but drink something you bought in advance in a private space, so it’s empty. They say it’s not a problem as long as it doesn’t ring. Laos & Thailand EP7 Free day trip to Chiang Mai, temple tour I’ve now arrived at Chiang Mai Airport.
Chiang Mai, a central city in northern Thailand founded in 1296, is the center of the Lanna Kingdom. In the 16th century, it was ruled by Burma, but in the late 18th century, it became part of the Kingdom of Thailand (Siam) again. I arrived in Chiang Mai in one hour by plane from Luang Prabang.
So, when I was in Laos, I I used the InDrive app, but when I looked here, I saw that Grab and Bolt were used. Bolt seemed to be cheaper, so I took a taxi to my accommodation with Bolt. The taxi company officially operating at the airport charges the official price of 150 baht, but when I looked at Bolt here, it was 101 baht. I brought a lot of money and called Bolt and was on my way, so I unpacked my luggage at the hotel and left . Since I came to Chiang Mai, the city still seemed very big compared to Laos, so
I was a little sleepy.. slightly . Wat Umong was built in the early 14th century and is known as the โ€œtemple in the forest.โ€ The name of the temple, โ€œUmong,โ€ means โ€œtunnelโ€ or โ€œpassage.โ€ There are long and narrow passages within the temple, and it is said that they studied the teachings of Buddha there.
Now I have come to Wat Umong Temple. I think this place is called a temple in nature . It is at the entrance to the mountain and there are a lot of trees and things like that, so I think it is nice to be quiet and secluded since the time is in the afternoon . A temple in a cave… It feels more mysterious . I’m planning to go straight to the night market. I think eating snacks and drinking some beer while looking at the night market will do the trick. It naturally attracts the audience’s attention… Please don’t come… Please, I’m dancing… Before going to the night market I originally wanted to go to, I came across a place and went in , and I saw that they had created a plaza like this , and around the plaza, there’s a stage in front of the plaza, and a place where you can eat and drink, and there are street stalls and restaurants around the edge, so you can buy food. I think that’s probably how the (night market) format is. I thought it might be (just now) I was taking pictures with my camera, so I retreated and left. It seems like the Night Bazaar, which I originally planned to go to, is in front of the night market, which is crowded with people. We also have skewers for dinner tonight. Grilled shrimp , beef, pork, chicken skewers , and the inevitable beer . Yes, we arrived in Chiang Mai at 7 a.m. on Saturday, February 1st,
went to Chiang Rai the next day, and then again the next day.. Laos It’s the last day of our trip to Thailand. Let’s go to the Old Town and see some temples. I’m going to go around. The mornings and evenings are cool and the days are very hot. First of all, the most famous ones are Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang . When I looked at them online, these two temples seemed to be the most famous. So, when I’m in a good condition in the morning, when the weather is cool and I’m not tired, I’m going to visit these two temples first. I came to Thapae Gate, and there are so many pigeons. Pigeons are taking up the empty space. There are a lot of pigeons , so I’m going to have some breakfast first. Noodles and pork. It’s a place that sells soup made with beef bones, and the menu includes drinks, various stews, and noodles. What I ordered was the Spicy Pork Bone Soup recommended here. In Korea, it’s pork rib stew. But the spicy pork rib stew was served. I started eating meat in the morning… hangover… I went out after breakfast. When I eat pork backbone gamjatang, I make it using the backbone, so I’m very used to the meat. It’s easy to split and eat . But looking at the reviews, the reviews are really good, but the ratings aren’t there. It was good. I wonder why, and I wonder if this is a taste that can be divided into likes and dislikes. At first glance, it looks like a very delicious rib soup, but (actually) it is extremely sour and it is okay to eat it once or twice when you can feel the taste of the meat, but I personally think it is difficult to enjoy it, so I personally think that people may have different opinions. Wat Chedi Luang is a temple that preserves the history of the Lanna Kingdom and the beauty of Buddhist architecture. In 1545, the upper part of the Chedi collapsed due to an earthquake in the Chiang Mai area. At this time, the Emerald Buddha Phra Kaew was moved to Luang Prabang and did not return.
I have now entered Wat Chedi Luang , but when I enter there, they don’t let me in because I don’t have change. I tried to go to a convenience store and change my money and go in. I changed my money at the convenience store in front of here. It’s a place that only accepts cash. They only accept cash as an entrance ticket, but if you don’t have change, you can’t go in. It ‘s a bit difficult for me to imagine that. As you can see, this is a place where women are prohibited from entering. I saw it on the Internet yesterday and it seems that if menstruating women enter this place , bad energy will come into this place. So, I saw it as a place where women were completely prohibited from entering. There is a very ornate golden Buddha statue standing here. They say you are not allowed to stand here. They say you have to kneel when you come in, so I try to get up hoping that good things will happen this year. It is probably the most famous building here. Although it was partially damaged by the earthquake, it did not collapse and still retains its magnificent appearance.
This is the ‘Chedi’, a pagoda that collapsed . If you look at the collapsed image on the right side, it is said to show that. The four sides of the pagoda are decorated with sculptures of snakes and elephants, and this is a style called ‘Lanna’ . The sculptures of snakes and elephants are cool… I heard that there are sculptures in the shape of snakes and elephants over there, but there is a snake on the way up to the entrance and elephants are standing at the bottom of the pagoda in front. It is now 8:30 and the sunlight is getting hotter. The Buddha statues inside are pretty, so I am going to go in. Now, when I enter the temple, it is automatic. I got down on my knees and started. I just came out to see ‘Wat Phan Dao’ Phan Dao temple. I think about it again, but I feel a bit regretful that I didn’t study beforehand. I used to travel a lot to see the scenery and trekking, but when I suddenly saw a temple like this, I think it was my mistake not to know the history or culture of this country or this city in advance. I was so focused on Laos that I thought of this toothpaste village as just a stop for a day or two, so on the way, I saw a coffee shop. The taste of coffee while looking at the police station…
No crime… The Phra Sing Temple is visible . Wat Phra Sing is a temple in the center of Old Town, built by King Payu, the 5th king of the Mangrai Dynasty, to enshrine his father’s ashes. This is where the Phra Shing Buddha statue is located, and there is a legend that the Buddha’s sacred remains are inside . The video was filmed around the Lunar New Year holiday… I prayed to the Buddha for my personal wishes for the new year. First of all, I only got 1,000 subscribers… The mural looked pretty to me, who is not good at art… I just came out after seeing the Phra Shing Buddha statue. It wasn’t a large Buddha statue, and when I looked at it next to it, the Buddha statue was pretty and the murals were very nicely done. Phra Singh is a temple built around 1340 by King Payu to mourn his father’s death . The year 1340 is 700 years, or 1340. It is a temple built 700 years ago. Another thing this place is famous for is the Phra Singh Buddha statue. It is said to be famous because the Phra Singh Buddha statue, one of the sacred Buddha statues, is located here . Another controversy is whether this is the real Phra Singh statue or an imitation . There is also a theory that the real Phra Singh statue was damaged or disappeared in the past . The statue of the Three Kings symbolizes the friendship, cooperation, and founding of Chiang Mai where King Mengrai, King Ramkhamhaeng, and King Ngam Muang joined hands to establish Chiang Mai. It commemorates the history of gathering wisdom when building Chiang Mai.
I came here to see the Three Kings Statue, a landmark that serves as the center of Chiang Mai tourism . When I came to see the Three Kings Statue, I wondered what the Three Kings Statue was and looked it up on the Internet. I found out that it was a statue made to commemorate the three kings who collaborated to create Chiang Mai . It is said that the three kings – the King of Skota, the King of Phayao, and the King of Lanna – built Chiang Mai, so this statue was made to honor them . When looking at the three kings, the fact that the three are standing equally, without any upper or lower, means that they cooperated equally . In addition to simply commemorating the establishment of this kingdom, it also has some religious significance. So it is said that Thai people and Chiang Mai people come here to wish for good exams or good business in the future. I asked what that meant and it seemed like there was a high school and students were playing. Arrived at Chiang Man Temple.
Wat Chiang Man is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It was founded by King Mengrai, the founder of Chiang Mai, on the site of Chiang Mai’s first royal palace in the late 13th century (around 1296). If you look on both the left and right, there are crystal Buddha statues and crystal Buddha statues. There are Buddha statues made of clay, and those two Buddha statues are said to be very famous Buddha statues. The crystal is called Phra Khao Khao, a white crystal Buddha . It is the oldest crystal Buddha statue in Thailand. Although it is small in size, it is said to have the mysterious power to make it rain. So, it is said that when there is a drought, when the king takes this Buddha statue outside and prays, it is sure to rain. Prasila, a Buddha made of stone, is said to be a rare Buddha statue made in Sri Lanka and brought to the Lanna Kingdom. There is a legend that this Buddha statue has the power to prevent disasters and floods, so it never floods. In some ways, the crystal Buddha statue seems to have conflicting powers, allowing the sun to fall and the earthen Buddha statue behind it to prevent flooding. After seeing something about Chiang Man Temple on the internet, I thought it might be more meaningful than Wat Chedi Luang or Wat Phra Singh . It is said that this is a temple built by King Meg Rai of the Lanna Kingdom while building Chiang Mai. Then it is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai. And for the Thai people who have deep religious beliefs, I think it would have a very deep religious meaning for the people of Chiang Village because it was the first temple built while building the city . I washed up, checked out, and left. I left my luggage at the hotel. For lunch on the last day, I ate delicious Pad Thai and passion fruit smoothie , had a glass of cool juice, and went out after getting a massage. I got a foot massage and it felt so refreshing. I had been wearing flip-flops and riding a motorcycle on dirt for a week, so my feet were taking a toll, but after an hour of treatment, they felt so comfortable that I almost fell asleep while getting a foot massage. This is the end of my trip to Laos and Thailand. It’s a bit disappointing, and the disappointing thing about Laos is that I think it would have been better if there was someone I could play with, and the disappointing thing about Thailand is, wouldn’t it have been better if I had studied a little more ? The most fun part of this trip was probably Vang Vieng… I think the most fun was playing in the water, diving, and playing in Vang Vieng .
Laos_Thailand Travel [End] The next trip passes Ulleungdo and Dokdo,,, and continues to Yunnan Province in China.
