Angel Road is over there. Alright, then… Shall we go for day two? I want to go out for breakfast first, but it seems like it’s going to be crowded. There are quite a few cafes on Shodoshima. I really wanted to have a morning meal, but it might not be a good idea because it’s too crowded. I thought about going to an izakaya last night, but it was crowded, so I ended up buying some side dishes at the supermarket. I have a reservation for tonight, so I can go. It’s popular as a tourist destination, so Ah, it looks crowded. (Let’s take another look.) There aren’t many cars parked. (It seems less crowded than expected.) (Let’s go check it out.) BASILICO CAFE It was a good breakfast. It’s hot. So hot. Let’s go in spring attire. It was delicious. It’s a bit hot right after eating. Let me take off my jacket. Cool down. If it gets cold again, I’ll put the jacket back on. It was a good morning. That place is also a sacred site. It’s an anime pilgrimage site, and it was nice. The morning set was good. For 800 yen. It came with coffee and was delicious. It feels like it’s run by a couple. The wind is cold and refreshing. Is this the place? This is the Takagi-san pilgrimage site. Tonosho. This area is used as a setting. Stop by Seven-Eleven. It’s crowded. It got a bit cold, so I put on a jacket. This is the ferry terminal. The ferry just arrived. It looks like it will be warm today. I’m not sure which island that is, but I’m riding while looking at the islands. Riding while facing the wind. First destination today, heading to a place called Shigeiwa. Written as “heavy rock.” I wonder if I’m reading Shigeiwa correctly. It’s written in big letters, Shigeiwa. Turn left. I guess I should follow the signs. I’ve entered a residential area completely. Shigeiwa is also one of the pilgrimage sites. Turn left here. This way. Is this correct? Is this really the road? It’s quite a place. Almost there. This place also has sharp curves. Are we arriving? We have arrived. There are already people here. Maybe this side is better. Maybe around here is good. We have arrived. Let’s walk. It seems like the place where the stone walls of Osaka Castle were quarried. The megalith is worshipped as the sacred object of the shrine. I will walk along the approach. Stairs.. aren’t there a lot? Can’t see the top. Apparently, there are 350 steps. Still more to go. Have we finally arrived? It seems the steps continue even after they end.. After navigating the rough terrain, finally.. It’s in sight. Let’s pray. It looks like it could collapse at any moment but doesn’t. The view is too magnificent. I’ll be careful on my way back. Shouldn’t come here half-heartedly. Can’t believe I climbed all that. Somehow made it back. The view is incredibly beautiful, but it’s really tiring. There’s a massive staircase and then a rocky area. That might be a bit dangerous. Climbing the rocky area was scary. For those with weak legs, it might be better to avoid it. Alright, shall we go? Exercise after a meal. Done. But there’s a great panorama, so it’s worth going, but if it feels dangerous, maybe it’s okay not to go. If it feels dangerous, it was a good exercise after eating. The next destination is, wanting to see a unique view of Shodoshima. Let’s try going. Actually, Angel Road is famous. I saw it yesterday, but there’s another place, actually another Angel Road. So, maybe I’ll try going there. Just right, around low tide. So it seems. I’ll aim for it. Yesterday’s Angel Road, I couldn’t cross, but maybe the second Angel Road can be crossed. Many elderly people were climbing earlier, I wonder if they are okay. Are they really okay? Is this the right reading? “Kasaneiwa”? I was reading it as “Omoiwa”.
