浮世絵の美を映し出す!東京丸の内プロジェクションマッピング
Good evening, I am Terra Polis. Thank you for watching again tonight. This video is related to ukiyo-e. The Marunouchi area once flourished as the castle town of Edo, and it is still one of the central areas of Tokyo. An event related to ukiyo-e was held in such a place. At this event, an attempt was made to connect Edo and modern Tokyo through projection mapping of ukiyo-e. In this video, I will introduce that event. “Marunouchi Building” It was said that the view from the third floor is good, so I are moving there. “Collaboration of Six Great Artists” At Marunouchi Building, “Collaboration of Six Great Artists” will be screened. Ukiyo-e, which flourished as a cultural flower of the common people during the Edo period. The six artists who supported its development, Suzuki Harunobu, Torii Kiyomitsu, Kitagawa Utamaro, Tōshūsai Sharaku, Katsushika Hokusai, and Utagawa Hiroshige will gather across time in the present day. Ukiyo-e had vibrant colors, bold compositions, and rich expressions. Its unique expressions and techniques loved worldwide were fused with modern projection mapping technology, reviving it on an overwhelming scale. I will go to see another projection mapping, so I will walk to Yurakucho. As you may have noticed from the video, today, the wind is strong and incredibly cold! At the next screening location, Yurakucho Itocia, the screening will be held outdoors. It will be a tough screening for the body, but I want to enjoy it without giving up!! “JR Yurakucho Station, Central West Exit” “Yurakucho Station Front Square” “Kachofugetsu of the Great Edo” At Yurakucho Itocia, “Kachofugetsu of the Great Edo” will be screened. The elegance of the four seasons of Edo will be revived in the present. Flowers that color spring, summer, autumn, and winter, birds playing on branches, the changing colors of the sky, and the scenes of rippling water, are not just records of landscapes. Everything depicted conveys the nuances and flavors that the people of the Edo period felt from the seasons and scenery, and it is passed down to today. Through projection mapping, the scenes of the Edo period come to life, creating a new artistic space that intersects across time. Let’s enjoy this special moment wrapped in eternal beauty. I was overwhelmed by the dynamic visuals! This is also the site of the former South Town Magistrate’s Office, known from “Ooka Echizen.” Thank you for watching.
