【香川県 塩江温泉】全客室温泉風呂!新樺川観光ホテル宿泊記|和泉層群の地質と香東川の景観も楽しめる
This is Shiyoler Channel. Hello, everyone! I’m Shiyoler, and this is Goki. We are in the Shioe Onsen district of Kagawa Prefecture. It’s relatively close to Tokushima as well. National Route 193 is a winding road, which was a bit tough. It’s a national road connecting Tokushima to Kagawa. There’s quite a bit of traffic. It rained at times. But we made it safely. The hotel we’re staying at has hot spring baths in the rooms. It’s rare to have hot spring baths in the rooms, right? We’re on the 3rd floor by the elevator. Ah! A dead end! This way. Huh? [Fast forward] I don’t know! I’m lost! Huh? Which way should I go? [Fast forward] Huh? Huh? I don’t get it. What should I do? They said there’s a corridor from the 3rd floor. 3rd floor… Where am I? This is the lobby, right? We came up from here, right? Ah… Oh no, a dead end. Bwahaha… (sweat) Front desk staff… They had explained there’s a corridor to the rooms on the 2nd floor. Oh well… I made a mistake. The 3rd floor is a condominium building. The hotel rooms are in a separate building, so we need to walk through a corridor to get there. The hotel we’re staying at is the Shin-Kabagawa Kanko Hotel.
Correction: Onsen → Kanko. The 3rd floor I mistook is a condominium named Shin-Kabagawa So. The lobby is in the condominium building. The condominium and the hotel rooms are connected by a corridor on the 2nd floor. The rooms are available in both Japanese-style and Western-style. Japanese-style rooms are 6 and 8 tatami mats. The Western-style rooms are twin rooms. Let’s go into the room. The lights in the room are already on. The room has a retro Showa-era vibe. When I opened the curtains, I saw National Route 193 right in front of me. Below that flows the Kōtō River. The weather wasn’t great, so the view from the window was gloomy. Let’s continue the room tour. The room has a nostalgic Showa-retro atmosphere, which the Showa generation will feel nostalgic about. The amenities are a toothbrush, shower cap, razor, towel, and yukata. If the yukata doesn’t fit, you can choose another one from the hallway’s selection. There’s a big safe where you can put your money. Maybe it used to be for returnable use? Air purifier, TV. Wi-Fi is without a password. The TV is limited to terrestrial channels. There’s a slightly larger fridge, but it’s empty. The room with a veranda has a nice atmosphere. You can relax on the chairs and table. The lighting is a classic feature of Showa-era ryokan, creating a lovely atmosphere. Finally, the sink, toilet, and bath. The sink has a familiar vibe, like one you’d find in someone’s house. The toilet has a warm water bidet. Now, let’s look at the bath. The bath has a wide tub, a mirror, and a shower with body soap and shampoo. Some of you might not have seen a switch like this for the air conditioner. The room’s air conditioning doesn’t have detailed temperature control, just three switch settings. It’s easy to use because there’s no complicated operation. Tea set and snacks are provided, and hot water is available in a kettle. Before going into the hot spring, let’s hydrate and raise our blood sugar with some tea and snacks. We asked for an early dinner and decided to go to the hot spring after eating. It seems like it would be more relaxing to soak in the hot spring before bed. Both dinner and breakfast are served at the restaurant. Since we need to move to the restaurant, it’ll be good exercise before and after the meal. The large bath is at the back of the first floor, and day-use is available. Since there are many group guests today and we have hot springs in the room… We’ll enjoy a quiet soak in our room’s hot spring bath. The hot spring bath is incredibly relaxing. The water is nice and warm, and it’s perfect for unwinding after a long day. After a refreshing soak, we headed to the restaurant for dinner. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, with a mix of traditional and modern decor. We could choose from a variety of dishes, both Japanese and Western-style. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. After dinner, we took a walk around the hotel grounds. The view of the river at night was stunning, and the air was so fresh. We returned to our room to relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The next morning, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the restaurant. It was a great way to start the day, with plenty of fresh, local ingredients. After breakfast, we packed up and got ready to check out. We were sad to leave, but we’ll definitely come back next time. Overall, the stay at Shin-Kabagawa Kanko Hotel was fantastic. The rooms were comfortable, the hot spring was amazing, and the food was top-notch. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend this place. That’s it for today’s video. Thank you so much for watching!
