ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2025年4月に徳島県石井町にある「地福寺・徳蔵寺・童学寺」に行きました。
・石井 藤まつり(2025)
石井町の花に指定され、町民に親しまれている「藤」。
藤まつりには、毎年多くの人々が訪れます。
メイン会場の地福寺にあわせ童学寺、徳蔵寺の藤の名所をまわる観光コースもおすすめです。
期間中の土日祝には模擬店も出店予定。
爽やかな新緑の季節、咲き乱れる藤の花とともに、楽しいひとときをお過ごしください。
【藤まつり】2025年4月15日（火）～4月30日（水）
会 場：地福寺周辺及び徳蔵寺・童学寺

・地福寺
町の花に指定されている藤の花が開花時期を迎える4月中旬から5月上旬に藤まつりが開催されます。
メイン会場となっている地福寺の境内には紫藤と白藤の藤棚があり、なかでも紫藤は樹齢200年余りの巨木で、南北30m・東西6mの藤棚は、見ごろになると花房が1mにも及び、訪れる人の目を楽しませてくれます。
『ライトアップ』地福寺のみ 藤まつり期間：日没～20時
・徳蔵寺
観音堂の本尊千手観世音菩薩は、昔、寺の東方に聳える気延山（きのべさん）麓に栄えた高麗寺という大寺に安置されていましたが、長曽我部の兵火をのがれ、当寺に御遷座、そのまま現在に至ったと伝えられています。
霊 験あらたかで、明治のころまで寺の東側の道では、馬に乗ることをはばかっていたと言われています。
古くから藤の寺としても有名で、八重咲きで濃紫色が印象的な八重黒籠藤など数種類の花房が四月下旬から五月初旬にかけて咲き匂い、石井駅前の地福寺、弘法大師が幼い頃学ばれたと伝えられる童学寺とともに、「石井 藤の三寺」として季節の名所となっています。
・童学寺
飛鳥時代に高僧行基が創建したとされる石井町を代表する名刹です。
奈良時代の末頃には幼少であった弘法大師がこの寺で学び、「いろは四十八文字」を創作したと伝えられ、寺号「童学寺」の由来ともなっています。
本堂の裏にある庭園「逍遥園」は、弘法大師が勉学で疲れたとき散歩したとされ、その北には習字の硯水として使ったといわれる泉水があります。

また6月上旬まではツツジも美しいです。

I’d like to introduce some places I visited.
In April 2025, I visited Jifuku-ji Temple, Tokuzo-ji Temple, and Dogaku-ji Temple in Ishii-cho, Tokushima Prefecture.
・Ishii Wisteria Festival (2025)
Wisteria is the designated flower of Ishii-cho and is loved by the townspeople.
Many people visit the Wisteria Festival every year.
We also recommend a sightseeing course that takes you around the famous wisteria spots of Dogaku-ji Temple and Tokuzo-ji Temple, in conjunction with the main venue, Jifuku-ji Temple.
Food stalls will also be set up on weekends and holidays during the festival.
Please enjoy a fun time with the blooming wisteria flowers in the season of fresh greenery.

・Jifuku-ji Temple
The Wisteria Festival is held from mid-April to early May, when the wisteria, designated as the town flower, blooms.
The grounds of Jifuku-ji Temple, the main venue, feature wisteria and white wisteria trellises, of which the wisteria is a giant tree over 200 years old. The trellis stretches 30m north to south and 6m east to west, and when in full bloom, the flower clusters reach up to 1m, delighting the eyes of visitors.

・Tokuzo-ji Temple
The main image of the Kannon Hall, the Thousand-Armed Kannon Bodhisattva, was once enshrined at a large temple called Korai-ji Temple, which flourished at the foot of Mount Kinobe, towering to the east of the temple. It is said that it was transferred to this temple after escaping the fires of the Chosokabe War, and has remained there ever since.
It is said to be miraculously powerful, and people were hesitant to ride horses on the road to the east of the temple until the Meiji period.
It has long been famous as a wisteria temple, and several types of wisteria, including the impressive double-flowered black basket wisteria, bloom and smell from late April to early May. Together with Jifuku-ji Temple in front of Ishii Station and Dogaku-ji Temple, where Kobo Daishi is said to have studied as a child, it is a seasonal attraction as one of the “Three Wisteria Temples of Ishii.”
・Dogakuji Temple
This is a famous temple representing Ishii-cho, said to have been founded by the high priest Gyoki during the Asuka period.
It is said that Kobo Daishi studied here as a child towards the end of the Nara period and created the “Iroha 48 characters,” which is also the origin of the temple’s name “Dogakuji Temple.”
The garden “Shoyoen” behind the main hall is said to be where Kobo Daishi took a walk when he was tired from studying, and to the north there is a spring that is said to have been used as water for his calligraphy inkstone.

The azaleas are also beautiful until early June.
