【ホテル宿泊記】スペインマドリードの最高級老舗ホテルにてスイートルーム滞在 グルメやSPA、周辺観光まで詳細レビュー 【Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid】
This time, I would like to write about the hotel I stayed at when I stayed in Madrid during my trip to Spain. One of Madrid’s most prestigious and long-established hotels, one that I’ve always wanted to visit someday. Approximately 30 minutes by car from Madrid airport. Head to the area known as the “Golden Triangle of Art”. Even though it’s dark, you can feel the profound and solemn atmosphere. Stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days. I would like to enjoy the food, spa, etc. “Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid” You will be warmly welcomed and the check-in process will be done quickly. It’s already late tonight, so I’ll take a look at the exterior and interior of the building tomorrow. When you go inside, you will see a scene like this. After being guided around the building, I headed to my room. The lobby lounge is breathtakingly beautiful. The ceiling is overwhelming. This is a breakfast restaurant. It’s a 6-story building, and my room is on the 4th floor. We will give you a room tour. This is a 68 square meter room called “Prado Suite”. It’s so beautiful. The living room, bed and bathroom are completely separate. There are so many welcome amenities on the table. I was very happy and watched it for a while. You’ll want to have a drink with the prosciutto and cheese right away. What is this? Apparently it’s the hotel’s famous almond cake. King Alfonso XIII was involved in the establishment of the hotel. Almond cake was served at his wedding and it was a huge hit. It seems that they are paying homage to that and passing on the tradition. Lots of brightly colored flowers. fresh fruit. The hotel’s original red wine. And to my surprise, there are water labels with my channel’s name on them. I appreciate your consideration. The small sweets arranged on cute stands all look delicious. A sofa with a nice line design. Minibar by the entrance. There is a chair by the window. It’s dark outside the window, so I’ll take another look tomorrow. There is a smart TV across from the sofa. I have stayed at Mandarin in five cities so far, and one of the things I look forward to is learning about the design of each hotel’s fan. Madrid’s design is a delicate lace. On the desk next to the TV, there is a QR code for information and in-room dining. There are outlets, USB, LAN, etc. Let’s move on to the back room. This is also beautiful from the ceiling to the floor. The bedroom is so large that the king bed looks small. Since it’s night time, a sleeping set is provided. I love the chocolate fan design. My initials are embroidered on the pillow case. Every inch of it is perfect, as expected. The bedroom also has a large TV. There is storage and a dresser on the wall. When you open it all up, it looks like this. The closet is also fully stocked. You can take home a nice tote bag as a souvenir. Japanese yukatas are available as nightwear. Laundry sets, various hangers, clothes brushes, etc. There is also a closet on the other side of the dresser. Return to the living room and go to the bathroom. The ideally designed bathroom will take your breath away. Having just been completely renovated, it has all the comforts of a modern hotel. Spacious shower room. There is also a rain shower. Gentle brass accents. The shampoos are from NaturaBisse. Bath salts and bath foam are available in the cute bathtub. The design is antique, but it’s nice that it’s new and clean. Return to the washroom area. I love the texture and tone of the marble. The soap and body balm are also from NaturaBisse. The feet look like this. Slippers with cute embroidery made of natural fabric. A nice pouch contains a hair dryer. When I opened the box of this can, I found the amenities in a very elegant box with a logo on it. When I opened it for one person, it looked like this. There is also a sewing set. The towel also has the fan logo on it. The toilet is also spacious and has a bidet. The design and cleanliness will make you fall in love. It’s a spacious space. The full-length mirror between the living room and bathroom is a door, and it is a volleyball box that allows you to pass items without face-to-face contact. Convenient when ordering laundry etc. Finally, if you open the double-door shelf in the living room, you’ll find a minibar. It’s fulfilling. The items are different from those in Japan and it’s fun. water or caviar chocolate. Click here for prices. C&S is Bernardo. Nespresso and electric kettle. The capsules are lined up inside the box. They have a wide selection of tea bags, and there are 6 types, including TWG and Japanese Sencha. Various items such as snacks and alcohol are lined up. Chocolates packaged with pictures typical of Madrid. There was also a special item inside the center door. ROMOS, the world’s most exclusive and luxurious tequila. Inside the drawer is a beautifully cut glass. There are many drinks in the refrigerator. Pick up things that interest you. I would like to try some local food. It’s already late tonight, so we’ll have in-room dining for dinner. I listened to the recommendation and ordered. I’ll join my son and have some. It will be set up skillfully. It’s great that flowers are also available. I was told that I would have prosciutto with the bread and sauce. I received an in-flight meal on the plane, so this was enough. Original pizza, prosciutto, cheesecake, and orange juice. The raw ham is so delicious that you’ll be impressed. It was my first time eating bread. Pizza is simple. You can clearly see that the cheese and tomato sauce are of high quality. The cheesecake is very rich. All of them are very delicious and satisfying. Let’s enjoy the inside of the museum starting tomorrow. good night. good morning. Morning in Madrid. The sky is very beautiful at sunrise. I looked out the window and was surprised. Next door is the Prado Museum. It’s a pleasant view. I get ready and head to breakfast. The lobby lounge makes me fall in love every time I see it. An extraordinary experience created by a long history. crystal canopy. The color of the sky and the sense of openness are amazing. This may be the most elegant hotel I’ve ever been to. This restaurant has two different dining options: an all-day dining restaurant and a classic contemporary restaurant. This is the breakfast restaurant. Tell them your room number and ask them to guide you inside. Numerous dishes lined up on both sides. I met up with my son who had come earlier. In addition to the buffet menu, there is also an order menu. Asian menu items such as miso soup and dim sum are available, as well as caviar and champagnes such as Moet and Ruinart. The restaurant looks like this. High ceilings with chandeliers and sculptures. It’s a beautiful and elegant space. Let’s take a look at the dishes on the buffet board. First of all, the standard Western food menu. And when you think of Spain, you think of raw ham. It’s arranged in the shape of a fan and it’s cute. There are also baked goods and a children’s menu. The Ritz logo is on the butter. Cups include chia seeds and acai. Cold menu on the board opposite. It’s very colorful. When you think of Spain, you think of tomatoes. So we have a simple tomato menu. A wide variety of fruits are beautifully prepared. This is bread. I was surprised at the variety of breads available. Another feature is that there are many types of sweets. There are also various hams and cheeses. There was a wide variety of cheese, and the Spanish sheep cheese called Idiazabal was excellent. I’ll take it. Spain is also famous for its oranges. Orange juice is very delicious. The sweet bread is not sticky, has a light texture, and is delicious. Both the space and the taste were elegant, making for a pleasant morning. From here, I would like to take a look at the facilities inside the museum. I checked in at dark time, so I’ll give you another look at the exterior. Belle Époque style facade. It’s beautiful. It has a history of more than a century since it was first operated by the Ritz, and in 2015 it began operations as part of the Mandarin Oriental Group. In the summer of 2020, the hotel underwent extensive restoration and renovation, and its facilities and services have been significantly upgraded. The architecture is palatial, thanks to King Alfonso XIII who helped found it. The front desk is decorated with a local fan, a Mandarin Oriental icon. In the entrance hall there is a door leading to the bar “Picutura”. The space is as if you have traveled back in time. It’s very elegant and pleasing to the eye. At the counter, paintings are lined up like a museum. The interior is based on gold. Decorations include large chandeliers, mantels, and moldings. I’m looking forward to having a drink here. The bar has access to the terrace. There’s a stove and an awning, so it looks like you’ll be able to spend a comfortable time there. I came to the lounge “Plam cort”. The guests are spending their time as they please, and the atmosphere is very good. This is a champagne bar. Guests can enjoy carefully selected champagne from a number of famous maisons, paired with luxurious tapas. Apparently, they use the highest quality ingredients such as caviar, oysters, white truffles, and Iberico ham. I was shown another suite with a different taste. The wooden chandelier is impressive. The secret behind the round-shaped room is that it’s part of a small tower. This is a 78 square meter room called “Turret Suite”. Round ceiling, whitewashed walls. This is what the back bedroom looks like. Interior in calm tones. The windows are big. There is a volleyball box. The water area has the same design as my room. It’s new, functional, and looks comfortable. A bathroom with beautiful textures that will make you fall in love no matter how many times you look at it. The bedroom is like this. If you slide the mirror, you can see all the way to the bathroom. The hotel’s garden restaurant can be seen in the foreground. I’m looking forward to eating there tomorrow. You will see a roundabout with a fountain in the center. I would like to have it for lunch. “Palm Court” in the Lobby Lounge offers a modern twist on traditional Ritz classics. Here is today’s menu. We all toasted with CAVA. Hotel original CAVA. It’s well balanced and extremely delicious. The olive oil is also original to the hotel. It goes well with moist bread. Slightly fruity and fragrant. The appetizer was presented in a cute container like this one. This is Spain’s typical potato soup. Next, tomato tartare. Semi-dried tomatoes. It is packed with deliciousness and goes perfectly with CAVA. I also got some white wine. This is also delicious. This is a wine with a good texture and aroma. Next came carabinero, a high quality shrimp carpaccio. The nuts on the side have a fun texture, and the shrimp are rich and sweet. And then there’s the Scotch egg-like dish, which is a soft-boiled egg coated in breadcrumbs. Seasonal vegetables and Iberico pork ham add color. I received a lot of artichokes on this trip. Here is the main one. It’s like meatloaf, wrapped in a thin membrane. Served with Jerusalem artichoke mashed potatoes. It’s filled with moist beef tail and is a masterpiece. I paired this wine with the main dish. Lastly, the cheesecake I had last night. It’s the taste of happiness. I would like everyone to try it too. It was delicious and a fun time. Thank you for the meal. When I returned to my room, chocolates were ready for me. Chilled CAVA was also available. The hospitality warms my heart. In the afternoon, we visited the wellness area. First of all, the gym is bright and has a high ceiling. Yoga, Pilates, and personal training are also available. During the renovation, a new wellness area such as a pool was added. The locker room is very clean and has ample space. Each locker is equipped with sandals, robes, towels, etc. There is a pool when you go to the back. white marble. Preciosa chandelier. The lights on the ceiling seem to represent the starry sky. There is a sauna here. Next is the spa. I’ll try it out for myself. Look at the menu at reception. You can customize your meal from a variety of menus according to your wishes. I ordered this hot stone massage. First, choose your favorite tea from the menu. You will be shown to the treatment room, and first you will have a foot bath. Warm up your body and relax. You can choose your favorite oil, so I chose a citrus one. The treatment room feels like a sanctuary. Massage with smooth stones of volcanic origin. It’s warm and comfortable. Happy time. I was healed both physically and mentally. I took a little rest in my room and it was evening. Live music is performed on Stanway’s white piano. I came to the bar “Pictuta”. Here, we will meet up with everyone who is traveling with us this time and enjoy a drink. I like looking at the menu because it gives me a sense of the bar’s personality. First of all, caviar and classic menu. The theme is “FREE SPIRITS”, inspired by the Prado Museum next door. The hotel’s restaurant and bar are created by one of Spain’s most famous chefs, Michelin-starred Quique Dacosta. beer, gin, rum, vodka. Whiskey, Scotch, Single Malt. There is also a category for Japanese whiskey. We had a great time talking about travel and hotels in a beautiful space. My son ordered a mojito. I ordered the recommended whiskey-based “BALMORAL”. It was an elegant time. I go out at night. I went to a typical Spanish place that I was looking forward to. One of the charms of this hotel is that it is conveniently located to go anywhere. About 10 minutes by car. I came to a famous tablao restaurant recommended by the hotel. A tablao is a restaurant where you can enjoy flamenco. Enjoy a meal here and enjoy a flamenco show. Spanish-style menus will appear one after another. All are very delicious. It has begun. Enjoy flamenco, a world intangible cultural heritage. It was so powerful that I would recommend seeing authentic flamenco with your own eyes. Please take a look at the vlog for more details. Well then, good night. good morning. It is the morning of the third day. I’m leaving this afternoon. Beautiful palm court again this morning. Let’s have breakfast. Orange juice is provided as well as water. Which bread should I make today? Everything looks delicious so I’m confused. This is my choice today. Prosciutto has a different flavor when combined with tomatoes and Tabasco. I chose crepes from the order menu. After I had had my fill, I went outside. From now on, we will visit sightseeing spots within walking distance from the hotel. I’m glad that it’s in a location where you can enjoy Madrid as a whole, with many attractions nearby. A stylish fan workshop. The little-known San Anton market. The Thyssen-Pornemisza Museum is one of the three major museums in Madrid. You can enjoy many works from the 17th to 20th centuries, including Manet, Cezanne, Renoir, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Dali. There’s also Degas’ ballet dancer. Just a short walk away, you can stop by a violet candy store, which is popular as a souvenir, see the statue of a bear and a strawberry tree in Plaza Sol, stop by a famous churro and hot chocolate shop, take a walk around the Royal Palace, go to the world’s oldest restaurant , and much more. More details are available on the vlog. Please take a look. Finally, have lunch at the hotel’s signature garden restaurant. “El Jardin del Ritz” looks like it will be comfortable in any climate. Enjoy a typical Spanish menu in a relaxed atmosphere. First, we had a cocktail using candy from the Sumire shop we visited earlier. It has a delicious violet scent and gentle sweetness. Torreon’s Iberico pork ham. It is said that free grazing produces excellent marbling. A familiar Spanish bread. And this spring roll-like thing is Crispy Punish Omelet. It has eggs and bacon inside and is delicious. White wine has arrived. 100% Vertejo. 100% organic. The main dish is paella. This time I received traditional Valencian soba, chicken, artichoke, and Moroccan green beans. It’s nice to be able to enjoy authentic, traditional recipes at a top-class hotel. The grains of rice are large. The taste of tomatoes is soaked in and it’s the best. Lastly, violet ice cream and yogurt. It contained popping candy and was a fun and colorful item. The fact that the restaurant opens for lunch from 1pm is typical of Spain. Thank you for the meal. It’s time to leave. We will now take the train to Barcelona Station. We will take you to the main station, Atocha Station, which is about 5 minutes by car. All of the staff were very kind and had great smiles. Beautiful architecture, comfortable facilities, typical Spanish food, and a great location. Everything was perfect and it was truly a dream-like time. Iberia has a direct flight from Narita to Madrid, so why not give it a try? Thank you for watching until the end. Next is my stay in Barcelona. That’s it for Lily.
