Dondo Falls

源義経の馬の足跡と武蔵坊弁慶の下駄の歯型が残っているといわれている「百々の滝(どんどのたき)」は徳島県美馬市にあります。下駄の歯型は滝壺付近の岩の上に2 つあり、弁慶が地団駄を踏んでつけたと言われています。百々の滝は落差7~8メートルで滝壺もあり、穴吹町十景の一つにも選ばれています。滝の下は広場になっていて、ベンチもあります。百々の滝には、滝の主である七つの龍頭を持つ大蛇が潜んでいるという言い伝えもあるそうです。

Dondo Falls

Momo Falls, where it is said that the footprints of Minamoto no Yoshitsune’s horse and the teeth marks of Musashibo Benkei’s geta remain, is located in Mima-shi, Tokushima-ken. There are two geta teeth marks on the rocks near the waterfall basin, which are said to have been made by Benkei stamping his feet. Momo Falls has a drop of 7-8 meters and a waterfall basin, and has been selected as one of the top 10 scenic spots in Anabuki-cho. There is a plaza below the waterfall, and there are benches. There is also a legend that a giant snake with seven dragon heads, the master of the waterfall, lurks in Momo Falls.
