You may notice colorful carp streamers (“Koinobori”) in the video.
These are traditional decorations in Japan for Children’s Day (May 5th), symbolizing strength, health, and the hope that children will grow up strong like carp swimming upstream.
They are usually displayed from late April through early May during the spring season.
