#100 【高石神社】Takaishi Shrine in Osaka Japan
The origin of this shrine is unknown, but it is said to have been founded in the first year of Hakuchi (650 AD) and is mentioned in the “Engishiki” (an ancient Japanese book of regulations). Gratitude sumo matches, which were offerings for the fulfillment of sailors’ wishes, were dedicated at this shrine until recent years.
