紋別にある「小向の丘（紋別名水公園）」は、知る人ぞ知る穴場スポット！標高90メートルほどの小高い丘の上にあって、オホーツク海やコムケ湖、広大な牧草地を一望できるんです。天気が良ければ、遠く知床半島の山々まで見えることも！
昔は「オホーツク自然水」と呼ばれる湧き水が汲めたんですが、2008年の大雨で水質が不安定になり、今は飲めなくなっています。でも、景色を楽しむだけでも行く価値アリ！駐車場や東屋、水洗トイレもあるので、ドライブの途中にちょっと休憩するのにもピッタリですよ。
春にはエゾヤマザクラが咲いて、桜とオホーツク海の絶景を楽しめます。観光地としてはあまり知られていない静かな場所なので、のんびりしたい人にはおすすめです！

Komuki-no-Oka (Monbetsu Mizu Park) in Monbetsu is a hidden gem that only a few in the know know about! It is located on a small hill about 90 meters above sea level, and offers a panoramic view of the Sea of Okhotsk, Lake Komuke, and vast pastures. If the weather is good, you can even see the mountains of the Shiretoko Peninsula in the distance!
In the past, you could draw spring water called “Okhotsk Natural Water,” but the water quality became unstable after heavy rains in 2008, and it is no longer drinkable. But it’s worth going just to enjoy the scenery! There is also a parking lot, gazebo, and flush toilets, so it’s a great place to take a short break during a drive.
In spring, the Ezo Yamazakura flowers bloom, and you can enjoy the spectacular view of the cherry blossoms and the Sea of Okhotsk. It’s a quiet place that is not well known as a tourist destination, so it’s recommended for those who want to relax!
