What makes Setagaya a great place to live?
Easy access to Shinjuku and Shibuya, while still being residential.
It really is the Goldilocks of Tokyo.
With its parks and excellent schools, it’s a great place to raise a family.

Great to see inside these beautiful places!
Wow, the 3.7 mat room took me back to an American life in Japan I once lived during the early 1970s in the elevated Denenchofu of Yokohama that was up in the hills with a great view of Yokohama Bay called Bayview——aka one of the former US Navy housing areas in Yokohama with houses that I guess could be called American Size 4LDK+—–with the plus being a 4-mat room that was quite tiny compared to all the other rooms in the house—–aka not fit for Americans? Which is why it wasn't used as a study or office because it was called the Maid's Room? And because it was 360 yen to the dollar all day every day, it was uncommon during those days NOT to have a live-in Japanese maid—–especially with the base housing office providing free cots for said rooms for said Japanese maids?
How times have changed over 50+ years—–aka that was then and this is now—–and it makes me wonder if the current Japanese houses and condos in what used to be beautiful uptown Bayview now go for over 1 oku yen too? Which means the yuge palace that was down the street from where we lived called the Admiral’s House would now go for over 100 oku yen—–but with the caveat that the Admiral’s full crew of Japanese maids, houseboys, lawnboys, cooks, chauffeurs and butler are not included?
Great video!! Thank you again 🙏
